Shaan walks by watches the 3 of standing there chatting.

Paula:Tum nahi jaayega lunch mein?

Shaan: Who will do all the work around here "Paul"? (grins)

Paula:Who to sahi bola tum

Niv:Oh please Paula, not you too.

Paula: Kya matlab? Tum bhi? He is all mine Nivs

Niv: U can have him I have mine at home (winks at Shaan)

Paula then looks at Khanak

Paula: Abhi tum isko love nahi karne ka theek hai? The day he is 30 years older he is MINE! (mock-firmness)

Khanak has a "hand caught in the cookie jar" expression for a second but quickly composes herself with a "Hes not my type" (looking directly at him)

Paula is carefully watching them both

Shaan: Then I will just have to become HER type! (winks at Khanak) (A very obscure vague answer with no names taken)

Paula: Soch lo jaan!

Khanak: Don't need to........ Paula....... I just like one in a million kind. (suddenly sad)

Shaan is irritated that the conversation is turning into a trip dowm memory lane for Khanak😭😡

Paula: Soch lo! Shaan ek dum handsome hai aur smart hai, very much educated also.Ek baar chhod diya to miss karogi😳

Aman and Nivs are talking with one of the guests seated up front at the lobby.

Khanak: (looking at Shaan) No! I will be OK...... (I think)

Shaan has a "Really? Want to bet on it?" expression

Khanak: I have lots to do Paula. I am not coming in tomorrow so let me go grab some lunch.

Shaan waits for Paula to ask why she wont be around tomorrow, but her phone rings and Paula waves.

Khanak starts to walk away, something forces her to turn around, she does...... and sees him looking at her! Quickly turns back and steps out, she can feel his eyes on her while they wait for the elevator.

There is a overnite offsite planned at the Ajmera Matheran Resort. Not ALL fun ofcourse. A 1 day boot camp of all those involved in Casa and an afternoon of fun at the local Spring Fair. She wonders if Paula is going, but doesn't want to interrupt Nivs again, so decides to wait. Her finger tips are frozen. Suddenly a thought strikes her. "ALL he has done is come by to my house ONCE and sent me his phone number. Why is that reason for panic.

Thinking of phone numbers, she checks her email. Its there with no subject

She opens it, the number 9812345678 and a smiley face on the side

No signature!

The face mocks her'. Or so she thinks.

She closes it and is back on her desk top. It's a nature picture of River Karjat from the Malsamot Waterfalls, the picture was taken in her honeymoon to Rajwant Palace Resort at Rajpipla, four hours from Ahmedabad.

The mental spinning creaks to a halt. Her heart is stunned. She stares at it until her name is called out by Aman "Khanak, San Marco ceiling height kya hai?"

Aman: Khanak?

Shaken out of her trance''' "Ummm sorry! Kya?"

Shaan is watching her intently

Aman: San Marco ceiling height''. Average bata do''.

Khanak: Give me a minute?

Suddenly she is not worried about the man staring from across the table'' a sub zero coldness washes over''' or as Shaan would say " The Icicle Maiden" is back

She answers the question expressionless and goes back to staring at her picture.

Towards the evening there is excited chatter about who will ride the van and who will drive their cars

Opinions are divided, Nachiket: "Gujral?"

Shaan: Not sure''' haven't decided if I am going

Out of the blue, no longer in her honeymoon with ex-hubby induced stupor''.

Khanak "I will ride the van" (NOW she can go)

It arrives, after a few minutes wait, they step in, she faces the Reception yet again, looks at a spot on the heavy brass lettering on Paula's desk that says "Ajmera", he is on the phone and is facing sideways now, so she safely looks at him..........as if on cue, suddenly his head turns and their eyes meet before the wall of steel slides shut between them!"

Fantastic ...... the eyes meet ... wow I just imagined the eyelocks of KT and Yashu ... too good hai ji!!!!!!
