One of my comrades is here
Off to read and compliment her on yet another splendid post!
Doc D .......... Good to see you
Yep its a glorious milan of RBO and Swades
Now IF ONLY, KT would dress like SRK did in that movie.
Blue jeans with cotton shirts of various colors and that GORGEOUS NAVY blue tee when a "prospective groom" visits Ms Geetli's house!
SIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH
My life will be complete!
NO kidding!
I mean it!

What a beautiful "meeting of minds", really......

One of my all time favorite movies, 'Swades' woven seamlessly into the narrative of my all-time favorite serial 'RBO'!!! CVs, surely a huge round of applause coming your way..... 👏👏👏
Shantanu Khandelwal is back, and this time the guy means business!!!!
The delectably flawed Shaan is finally 'coming of age'.....is working at what is imperative to groW*H.....change!!!! Change in himself.....the stepping stone to herald a change of tide of the village and the fortune of its inhabitants......
A complete thumbs-up to the introspective Shantanu Khandelwal....a welcome change from the escapist Shaan who has now come to terms with reality and looks it in the eye....it requires a man of great character and courage to admit that he is directly or indirectly responsible for the current (non) state of affairs!!!! Shaan is finally showing that character!!!!!
His resolve is deep-rooted this time round.....he is a man possessed, and thankfully in the right direction!!!
Superb references to Shaan's basic nature.....of heart ruling over head in his decision-making till date....but the importance of head gradually seeping in when he cares to first know about what went wrong in the village, and then goes about fixing it.....Great touch, that..... a sure-shot indicator of a 'man' in the making!!! Loved the basic essence of Shaan's character being retained right till the very end of his exchange with the Sarpanch.....sticks to his guns, no matter what.....for a cause he truly believes in.....the only difference.....this time, has cared to look beyond himself for the 'greater' cause.....of Dhulwadi at large!!!! You can take a bow Shantanu Khandelwal....we loved you for your burthalness😆....we love you for your insightfulnesss!!! 👍🏼👏
KT was a sheer delight to watch in the episode today, dated 22nd February 2011. The lines were heart-felt, yet beautifully restrained....the 'responsibility' was well-shouldered.....the overall determination, unmistakable!!! Keep up the good work, young man....this facet to your personality vis-a-vis Shaan is an absolute delight to watch!!!👏
Mangal IMO, is the true anti-hero to Shaan's goodness....he is believably menacing, wonderfully understated......yet suberbly bang-on!!! Bring him on CVs....the face-off between 'good' versus 'bad' has only just begun!!!!
Sunil-Madhavi.....delivered to the fullest as usual...only this time in a delectably new avatar....
RaJen.....switched channels!!! CVs.....an earnest request....RBO is finally in revival mode.....Rahul and Jenny are just not fitting in.....may be some place else, some other time.....but RBO is just not the place for them!!! Please wind up this track at the earliest possible....
In summary, a superb epi....and a superb "awakening" on its way....
Yeh tara, woh tara, har tara,
Yeh tara, woh tara, har tara,
Dekhon jise bhi lage pyara,
Yeh tara, woh tara, har tara,
Yeh sab saath mein, jo hai raat mein,
To jagmagaya aasman sara....
RBO ke taare humein zaroor lage pyare,
Shaan, Khanak, aur Anand ke iraade Dhulwadi ko jagmagaye.....
Amen to that!!!
😃

There is NOBODY, ABS nobody on this Forum here, who can say it like you do.
ClapClapClapClapClap
Makes me love Shaan even more
If thats even POSSIBLE
I desperately want to SEE HIM thru YOUR eyes Doc D
I do!😭😭😭😭
If I cant forget this show for the love story.
I cannot forget Shaan for your mind blowing description of him
There will never be a TV lead guy quite like him
SIGH!
Your words do what he does through the visuals!
They are so made for each other

This will be Mangal's ONE sentence description for his role. Some one should FB it to him.
He needs to hang on to these words!
They are brilliant!

Another noteworthy thing today was Shaan's REMORSE
I was waiting 9 months for it!
When he tells Khanak "I killed a man and the cascading effect of it has brought SO much despair and distress to this vilalge"
I LOVED THAT line!

Comrade Aditi!!😆
I loved that too!!!
What a welcome change from the Shaan in the KKH sequence whose major part of the conversation with Khanak vis-a-vis Suraj's death was "meri koi gallti nahin thi!, woh toh ek haadsa tha!!"....to the Shaan of today....who is not just remorseful about his inadvertent role in Suraj's death, but also wants to go all out and do something about it.....as you so beautifully put it.....its cascading effect!!!👏
Shantanu Khandelwal....truly a man in charge of his life now!!!

I fear Mangal might try and hurt Shaan in some way
It clear there is no love lost between the two.
I am SUPER EXCITED to see a responsible mature Shaan
Like the guy that walked off to the office to do teh presentation months ago!

She weeps silently when she sees him hand over his food
She urges him to return to Mumbai when for the FIRST time in life he does something so incredibly mature
Does she enjoy taunting and mocking him and wants to keep saying "Shantanu aap in bachkaani harqaton se kya saabit karna chahte hain"
Its either this extreme or that for Khank
Either she spins a "Aapse 4 kadam aage, 5 kadam peeche, 2 kadam side mein"
OR
"Chaliye kal hum ghar waapis chalte hain:"

I agree with you on this, Aditi....and would want to highlight this disparity in Khanak's characterisation to the CVs....
Not so long ago, Saturday to be precise....Khanak was beautifully portrayed as this woman on a mission.....on a much applauded cause of making a 'boy-man' realise the 'man' in him!!!
Precisely two days later....the least she could have done is admire his resolve and encourage his noble intentions....Instead what do we get??? "Chodiye na is sab ko....waise bhi toh hum kal waapis ghar jaa rahe hain", or something to that effect!!!
A complete let-down, IMO!!😡
CVs, can we have greater attention to detail.....and consistency in the groW*H of the characters depicted please.....an earnest request for a product going great guns at the moment.....

@ Vaishu: Thanks, Dearie. Love the way you put your thoughts across in a 'to-the -point' manner in your posts, Sweetie.....
@ Aditi: Swades....my fav SRK movie too!!! You said it gal!!! Now that KT is on a certain Mr. Mohan Bhargav's trail....maybe he could trade those hooded tees😡 with the simple, unassuming yet supersexy checked shirts that he used to don in RBO earlier.....still drool big time over his checked shirt and blue jeans ensemble in the 'pinning Khanak against the cupboard' scene in the initial RBO days😍 Thanks, Aditi for your words of praise.....YOU know how much they mean to me!!! Muaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!
@ shanakrocks1: Can I know your name, Dear?? And stop being silent, Dear....start posting regularly, and before you know it, IF shall be your 'second home'!!! As for me posting on Star one or SWJ's FB accounts....sorry Sweetie....am not on FB.....
