This was wat Shan muttering to himself , for almost 1 hr , pacifying under the open scorching heat of Dhulwadi'

Suddenly his self talk was disturbed by a child, handing him a letter. Shan for an instant got delighted to see the letter, as if khanak has given him a love letter'excitedly he opened the letter, but only got disappointed as dere it was an order for him to stop staying in her parents' house if he really wants to impress her

"ye biwi hai ya Hitler'.itni tough to Kiran Bedi bhi prisoners se nahi hoti hogi''dude tujhe Rajputani hi mili thi pyar karne ke liye"

Dis was only shan could think after reading the letter'

In Khanak's maika,

Shan was worried about where he is actually gonna stay for the whole week,.. However his worry was eased when God send someone in his rescue- dat was none other than Govind who was now wearing a 3 piece suit, wearing spectatles , looking like a gentleman. He introduced himself as Shan's friend.

After much requests, finally Khanak's father agreed to send his jamai to his friend's house, without his daughter

Later, both Shan and Govind in d car

Shan- "thanks , yaar agar tu na hota to pata nahi aaj main kya karta"

Govind- "koi baat na hai, ye to mara farz hai---------suddenly, "arey arey , bha gadi rook, ghar agaya"

Shan stops the car. Both get down the car

Shan,-" kahan hai tumhara ghar"

Govind- " yeh to raha, yehi hai mera ghar"

Shan, confused, looks at Govind's so called house'It was a not a house, rather a different place- mostly like an ancient fort, which has now been in ruins,

Shan- "yeh kya mazak hai'..yeh yeh tumhara ghar hai------yeh to koi bhoot bangle lagta hai"

Govind- "arey na na , yeh to maro raj mahal che. Chal , thare ko apne rehna ki jagah dikhata hoon"

Govind takes Shan to where he stays in d fort'.. it was a dirty place, full of things placed here and dere, no place actually to even stand. Govind removes some stuff, and makes way for shan to sit.

Shan- "no way, main is jagah mein nahi rehta''.ise tum ghar kehte ho, aur yeh tumhara kara, so dirty, infact khanak ke ane se pehle main bhi itna ganda nahi rakhta tha apne kamre ko'"

Govind-" thik hai ja, jake apne us badi gadi mein soja-----main thari madad na karunga---phir thakurji bachaye tujhe"

Shan- "tum aur meri madad! Mujhe pata hai , tum khanak ke doot ho, usi ne tumhe bheja hai"

Govind- " bhai, main to bhagwan ka doot hoon, koi baat nahi main teri madad nahi karunga---phir to tujhe na talwarbazi ayegi na oont pe chadna----shart to hu har jayega, apni biwi ko bhi harega----mare ke hai"

Saying dis, Govind starts to go, wen Shan stops him, thinking the consequence if he loses the challenges- "arey nahi, main to aise his bol raha tha----tum neri madad karoge, please

Govind '"karunga, magar sirf thari beendni ke khatir"

Shan- "thanks"

Dat night, Shan slept on a bed of hay, initially it was difficult for him to sleep in d environment, but as he closed his eyes, remembering khanak's smiling face, he went to his own world ,dreaming abt Khanak, their adventure scene-where khanak and he are enjoying the rain-khanak splashing water at him

"Khanak, stop it yaar, main bheeg jaonga"

Shan was blabbering in his sleep wen he was woken up by a huge splash of water, it was Govind throwing bucket full of water on him.

Shan gets up with a start- "yeh kya badtameezi hai? 5 baje kisi ko aise uthate hain kya?"

Govind- "har kisi ko nahi , sirf tere jaise ko"

After much nagging, finally Shan got up , went to get ready to start his preparations for fulfilling the conditions. The first thing dat morning was learning how to actually hold a sword , under Govind 's guidance. Then his next task was learning how to control a camel.

Later

Govind, seeing Shan with a concerned face- "ke baat hai chore?"

Shan- "arey , Khanak ne pehle shart rakhi ki main factory mein ek job dhoondu and next day wahan kam karu'who bhi apne balbute par"

Govind- "haan to usme kaun si badi baat hai. tum woh bhi nahi kar sakte kya"

Shan- "arey problem yeh hai ki factory to mere dad ki hai, phir main kaise wahan jake naukri mangunga, woh bhi ek mazdoor ki"

Govind-"bas itni si baat''" He thinks for sometime, den gives something to Shan- it's a dhoti-kurta .

Shan is confused to see it- "main iska kya karu? Main yeh sab nahi pehanta"

Govind- " jyada sawal na pooch, jake kapde badal ke aa".

Shan goes and changes his dress

Govind then makes him sit on a bench, in front of a mirror- "apni akhein band kar"

After some time , - "aab khol"

Shan opens his eyes, stands up , startled- "yeh, yeh kaun hai"

Again sees in the mirror, its him- his reflection, he was looking different- rings hanging down his ears, a moustache, eyes having a touch of surma-

"haan aab lag raha hai bilkul Rajput" Govind says while adjusting the turban on Shan's head'bas ek mushkil hai

Shan- "kya?"

Govind- "thari jabaan''. Par koi bat na, main chalunga thare sath, tu bas apna mooh band karke rakhna, baki ka sab mujhpe chod de"

Thus Shan, disguised as a dumb villager goes to the factory wid Govind, who after much requests and pleads at last manages to convince the manager to give Shan a day's job in the factory

Thus , Shan 1^st day of challenges comes to an end and another day starts with his learning the tricks of sword-fighting and then camel race and den his whole day and night is spend in the factory, drudging as a factory worker,.

Its third day, Shan has now quite improved in sword fighting and he is happy abt the fact dat he has fulfilled khanak's two conditions. His next concern was to cook food. However he was lucky even dis time as though Govind couldn't help him, but Gopi was dere to help him.

In kitchen of khanak's maika

Shan- "Gopi, kya tum sure ho ki sab meri hath ka khana khayenge, I mean kuch galat to nahi hoga?"

Gopi- "bha, aap kyun chinta kar rahe ho?, main hoon na ---waise bhi maine aapse kaha tha main karlungi sab, par nahi aapko harishchandra banna hai, toh thik hai"

Shan- "nahi, Gopi, main isbaar Khanak ko apne sachayi aur lagan se jeetna chahta hoon, main uska dil nahi tod sakta"

Both of them are talking with each other wen suddenly Khanak's mother comes inside-she is shocked to see Shan there- "jamai sa aap yahan"

Before Shan could say anything , Gopi interrupted, and took her aside and whispers- "arey mausi, Shantanu bha khanak ke liye kuch banana chahte hain, unki bhasha mein-shurprishe"

Khanak's mother is initially not convinced with the idea of letting her son in law do the cooking, but eventually wid Gopi's pestering , she gave up, only wid a condition of not telling any one abt it'

Later, at lunch, everyone including almost the whole village enjoys the food, praising the food. Khanak notices dis and den looks at Shan, who is now smirking and seemed to be quite pleased with himself. Khanak gets annoyed, gets up, w/o finishing her food and goes to wash the hands. Everyone is startled to see this.

Her mother is astonished at her behavior, goes to her asks- "khanak, yeh kya badtameezi hai, is tarah khana chod ke koi ata hai kay"

Khanak- "bai, mujhe maf karna, par yeh , yeh koi khana hai---itna beswad, aisa khana to koi bhikari bhi na khaye, speaks louder so that Shan can hear.

Her mother- "chup kar besharm., dheere bol---yeh khana tere pati ne banaya, aur sab ko itna pasand aya, tujhe hi na pasand aya"

Khanak, after listening to her mother, goes near Shantanu, takes his hands, says-"Shantanu, yeh khana aapne banaya, mujhe to pata hi nahi tha 'lekin aapne to apne ghar mein kabhi rasoi ka chehra bhi nahi dekha, par is baar khana banaya, who bhi apni patni ke maike mein, kitne boore din aagayi apki" . Her tone was full of sarcacism and insult for Shan, who beared everything by closing his eyes'.he was ready to bear any insults and wounds just for her sake.

Its now day 4- time for Shan's 4^th challenge-sword fighting.

The whole village assembled at the avenue, but Shan was searching for Khanak..He was nervous and anxious---buts gets a ray of hope wen he sees his love. The fights begins. Initialy Shan , even though manages to defend himself, but is not able to attack back at his opponent, who takes advantage of the fact that he is a newcomer in this game and starts using his trick , confusing Shan and now Shan is at the losing end. Khanak gets concerned to see her rather nazuk Shantanu getting hurt in such a bad manner, her eyes get filled with tears

Govind notices this, thinks to himself- "yeh to buri tarah haar raha hain, aab mare ko kuch karan padega"

He goes and brings a mirror and goes in the front side-starts showing the mirror in the direction where Shan;s opponent looks. The man gets distracted with the reflection, his moves suffer resulting in Shan utilizing the situation and finally Shan emerges victorious.

Later , in the evening, Khanak goes to the mandir, she is crying , goes to the mandir, prays for Shan. Govind sees her, consoles her and takes her to his place, where Shan is staying

Khanak sees Shan trying hard to heal his wounds, trying to apply ointment on his back, but he fails everytime. Khanak is unable to see him in pain, finally goes near him, snatches the ointment from his hands, and instead applies it with her own hands, on his wounds.-

Shan- "Khanak"- looks at her with love and admiration

Khanak-"kuch kehne ki jaarorat nahi hai''.yeh sab kyun kar rahe hain aap'.chale kyun nahi jate '..koi jarorat nahi hai sharte poori karne ki, bhool jayiye mujhe'..koi jarorat nahi hai is dard ko sehne ki"

Shan, lifts her chin- "is chot se dar gayi'..chinta mat karo, koi dard nahi ho raha nujhe inke wajeh se, tumse juda hoke jo dard seh raha hoon, uske aage to kuch bhi nahi hai-----bas ek din ki to baat hai, phir chala jaonga'tumhe sath leke"

Its day 5-final day of Shan's challenge- camel race

The race starts on a good note for Shan, who somehow manages to control his camel, afterall it was Khanak'pet- Champak'even the camel knew how much Shan loved his Khanak, so was in full cooperation with Shan. Shan and Champak were now on the verge of almost winning the game wen suddenly fate took a complete u-turn and another guy overtakes him and Shan ends up being behind dat contestant-he loses the game-loses his last condtion

In the night Shan is sitting alone in the fort, crying , remembering his days with Khanak, from how he met her to how he hurted her with his words, forcing her to leave his home and his life, He closes his eyes, wen suddenly a feels a hand on his shoulders-he opens his eyes and sees 'its Khanak-

Shan takes Khanak's hands and says between tears- "khanak., main janta hoon main tumse sorry mangne ke bhi layak nahi hoon, tumhe hamesha disappoint kiya, aaj bhi wahi hau---- har gaya main--- har gaya mera pyar, par tum jahan bhi raho, mere sath raho ya na raho , main hamesha tumse pyar karunga'

Khanak-says softly- "itna pyar karte ho shantanu to bharosa kyun nahi karte apne pyar pe? Shantanu, aapko is baat ka bharosa hai ki aap mujhse pyar karte hain, aur is baat ka nahi ki main bhi aapse utna hi pyar karti hoon'.apko kya lagta hai mere liye itna asaan hai yeh sab .

Shan listens everything, closes his eyes, gives a sigh, says to Khanak- "Khanak, kal hamare raste alag ho jayenge, sab kuch khatam ho jayega ,'.kya aaj ki raat akhri baar main tumse gale lag sakta hoon'.i wanna hug u for the last time, ek jhappi"

Khanak nods her head He rests on her shoulders, dey hug.

Next day morning

Khanak 's words woke up Shan. He opened his eyes, blinked his eyes , but again turned to other side, closing his eyes and murmuring to himself- "Khanak mere sapno mein aake tang mat karo mujhe"

Khanak goes to that side, goes near, pinches him saying-"Shantanu, yeh sapna nahi, haqiqat hai"

Shan gets up with a jerk- "tum"'he stares at her, she is looking too beautiful , dressed up in a peacock green chaniya choli, just like a beautiful gaon ki gori'''.

Khanak-"haan main, aap kisi aur ki umeed kar rahe the"

Shan- "tum subah subah mera mazak udane ayi ho na---tumhe to bahut khushi mil rahi hogi-tum jeet gayi aur main har gaya"

Khanak- "haan khush to main bahut hoon---apne meri shartein nibhayi, aab mera farz banta hai main apki farz maanu"

Shan-"matlab"

Khanak-" matlab yeh mere burthal, ki aab waqt agaya hai ki hum apne do sharto ko pura kare---aajki aur kal ki"

Shan gets up with a bang- "Khanak, iska matlab tumne mujhe maaf kar diya"

Khanak-"haan"

Shan- "hum poora din ek sath rahenge!"

Khanak-"haan. sirf aaj hi nahi, poori zindagi'. Aajse hamare rishte ek nayi shuruat hogi, peechle kuch dino mein jo bhi hua use ek bura sapna samajh ke bhool jayiye...maine bhi bhula diya."

Shan is overjoyed to hear the words, goes to hug her, but she stops- "abhi nahi, pehle jake tayyar ho jayiye"

Shan- "okk madam as u say....banda bas abhi ready hoke ata hai"---He gives her a flying kiss and goes to get ready.

The day, both of them enjoyed their moments in the pleasant environment of Dhulwadi, roaming around the places, going to bazaars, enjoying champak's ride, going to the fair , enjoying each and every moment wid each other.

Finally, at night, somewhere, in a old fort

Shan-"ooh! Khanak, kitna bada hai yaar tumhara Dhulwadi, ghumte ghumte mere feet dukhne lage'.maine kaha tha car mein ghumne jayenge, par nahi"- says in a complaining mood

Khanak, carasses his face with her left hand, says sarcastically- "kyun thak gaye mere nazuk"

Shan- "oh hello , main koi nazuk nahi hoon'.bas thoda thak gaya hoon"

Khanak irritates him constantly by addressing him as nazuk., to such an extent that he gets up tries to grab her, she runs away from dere- He starts chasing her, finally manages to grab her, both fall back, with her on his lap

Shan, holds her tightly- "God! I missed this thing"

Khanak, looks at him-" kya?"

Shan-"maine '."

Khanak interuppts- "mujhe itni angrezi samajh ati hai, mera matlab hai aap kiski baat kar rahe hain"

Shan- "tumhe"

Khanak-"acha, jhoothe, main koi cheez hoon'sach bataiye, aap kis ki baat kar rahe ho"

Shan- " main kis ki baat kar raha hoon'kisss ki"

Khanak feels shy, blushes at the last word, moves away her face'Shan turns her towards her himself , gently kisses her on the lips, she responds dis time'den he gently moves her away from him, gets up himself, gives his hand to her, says-chale

Khanak is amused-"kahan"

Shan-"bas chalo-meri duniya mein"

Khanak nods , gives her hands, he takes her to another place, rather a beautiful place'makes her sit on a bed of flower petals 'goes near her-gently kisses her palms, takes off her bangles, kisses her bare hands , moves up , takes out her earings, kisses her ears, then gently carasses her hair, kisses her forehead, her eyes, brushes his nose wid hers , kisses her lips , moves down, kisses her neck---then gets up , takes off his shirt , again goes near her , makes her sit , takes her hands and places it on his bare chest'Khanak blushes, slowly hugs him , her hands start wandering on his back, holding him more tightly as he slowly and untied the dori of her blouse and kissed her neck while his hands wandered somewhere inside her ghagra, until they reached their destination, giving Khanak, the ultimate pleasure, the content of being with her beloved,as he took her to his own world".Finaly they became one again.

Later, both of them engrossed in each other inside a blanket, cuddling to each other like babies., they were not sleeping, rather they were talking to each other

Shan-"Khanak, main bahut kush hoon"

Khanak-"haan , hum kal apne ghar jayenge"

Shan -"hmmmm'.par yaar main Dhulwadi ko miss karunga'spp,--Govind aur Champak ko"

Khanak, looks at him wid delight- "phir hum use bhi apne sath le chale"

Shan, amused-"kise, Govind ko?"

Khanak-"nahi, Champak ko"

Shan laughs at her suggestion- "Khanak, tumhari bai thik kehti hai, tum bachi ho bilkul . agar hum champak ko apne sath le jayenge to sare flat wale , infact poora Mumbai mujhe pagal kahega"

Khanak, makes a gloomy face, and says in a childish tone- "iska matlab main apne champak se kabhi nahi milungi"

Shan- "hmmmmm, mere pass ek idea hai''..hum har weekend , I mean Saturday Sunday ko dhulwadi aajayenge, phir yahaan khoob masti karenge'..thik hai"

Khanak-"wah! Lekin aisa kab tak chalega'..phir bache ho jayenge to"

Shan-"to kya! Bacho ke sath ayenge'.waise bhi Saturday-Sundays ko unki school ki chutti hogi------infact khanak, woh jab bade ho jayenge, settled ho jayenge, hum dono old ho jayenge, shehar ki bhag daud zindagi se thak jayenge, us time hum sab kuch chod ke yahan ake bas jayenge'.thik hai"

Khanak smiles, nods her head , and places her head at his chest..

In the next day, both of them bid adieu to the villagers, to Khanak's parents, wid Shan promising to Khanak 's parents that he will take care of her forever. He hugs Gopi and says good bye to her.

They then drive off to Govind's place---Shan calls for Govind, but gets no response, he goes inside the place, there is no one, there is nothing there- suddenly sees a stone, wrapped with a cloth , he takes the stone, and takes off the cloth, shows it to Khanak- she spots a tap nearby, goes and washes the cloth-it has something written on it-

mare pyare shantanu bha aur Khanak mem,

After reading the letter, both of them drive to the mandir---they do as Govind wrote. , Then each of them pray to God- not asking Him for anything, but rather thanking for uniting them again and for making the following line true dat-
