Karan-Harpreet back in Rang Badalti Odhani

It is a double treat for fans of Rang Badalti Odhani on STAR One next week. Shantanu (Karan Tacker), who was unwell, and had been missing from the show, as well as Harpreet Singh, whose character Sooraj was killed in the show, are all set to return.

Shantanu aka Karan Tacker says, "I will start shooting this week. I was suffering from typhoid and not malaria, as many sites had wrongly reported. I spent 12 days in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, and my mom, dad and sister took care of me. I was on heavy medication, and was only allowed to eat plain khichdi without even salt in it. I am still feeling weak because of the medicines and injections."

Speaking about Rang Badalti Odhani, Karan says, "It is for the first time since the show started that I have taken a break. I missed my co-stars, and watched some episodes to keep in touch with the current track. Even though I am returning, the doctors have advised me not to exert myself for the next 10-15 days, so I will be working for just 5-6 hours a day. The new year has started on a bad note for me, as I was unable to enjoy it".

Harpreet Singh, who will be seen in a new avatar on the show, reveals: "My return is similar to Hrithik Roshan's in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. It is great to be back in Rang Badalti Odhani since I had been in it right from the first episode. I hope my fans like my new role, and that everything goes well".

We spoke to producer Swapna Waghmare Joshi, who says, "Harpreet will start shooting tomorrow, and you will see his return in the episode that will be aired next Monday. He plays a junior artist, Sunny, pretending to be Sam's (Priyanka Bassi) boyfriend". However, she assures Shantanu-Khank fans that they need not worry. "Since Karan is also returning, Sunny's entry will make Shantanu and Khank's bond stronger," she says.
