singing careers!😊😊
Looks like the show is back on track 👏👏👏👏
Some "back to form" writing!!
The house and the ROOM are back (May please note!😊)
I personally think Sunil treats both his sons differently I dont believe Shaan has given him SO MANY reasons to be so disenchanted with him😡
I mean for a rich spoilt brat, he didnt do drugs, I see no tattoos, no random female friends, no drinking binges
So much bad blood, for being unable to find a niche in life?
Sad!
On the self inflicted wedding............. GREAT IDEA!
I am kinda envious that such a romantic idea is being used on the other couple and not ShaNak (SOME WHERE SOME HOW alright!😆)
It will be great to see when Sam figures out she might have to fill in for the bride😳
Singing happens to be the career of choice for ALL desi movie and TV lead guys😃
Now would be the time CVs............. please please show us scenes of him listening to music.
And get rid o that $10 Sony "music system" for God's sake!
Where is the latest technology?
Can we have him listen to some music please?
I am sure hundreds on this Forum are itching to give you guys song ideas.
So please bring on the audio trappings............
Your turn.....

Good post Aditi!

$10 music system? Really? It's so cheap now?

I am not even expecting them to show Shaan listening to some music. I wud be happy to just hear even discuss it... like his fav bands or songs or singers... one never hears characters in TV shows talk abt real things- like how it rains a lot, or how the traffic is so bad, or abt anything normal and usual.... today when Sam mentioned 'price rise' (mehengaayi) I almost fell off... you never hear such things!

Self-inflicted wedding? LOL... good one!

OK Rasika,
Thanks!
On that remark about loving everyday speech, on mehangai and rains..........
But first I am itching to share a ShaNak line here, I apologize in advance for grossing you out, NOT INTENDED at all
"Hamari pasand kitni milti julti hai na?"
I LOVE NORMAL EVERY DAY CONVOS.
Unfortunately everything on celluloid is larger than life except for once in a century shows like rishta and S&S......... and to a certain extent RBO
I hope to see more verbal sparring, humorous banter, more mention of everyday happenings.......... with a generous topping of some o that good stuff only married folks enjoy Sorry teens!! (Ahem! Ahem!)😳 ALL IN SHANAK STYLE, as my friend Saaz would say...........
Sorry Veena if I violated any rule by saying above

Can't wait to see how the whole wdding turns out....
Can't wait to see.....when it will eb the right time to tell Shaan the truth and what all follows....
Interesting interesting at last....
And agree with all your points about Shaan being treated ...more harshly...but that doe snot matter...that is how most fathers behave dear....even when they know..therie son does not do drugs, etc...😆

Like the topic Aditee....Yep Shaan isn't a wild child, but Sunil seems to be hell bend on sorting him out....Who knows the divorce, stress and Shaan in a easier target....

I like the idea of Sam planning her own wedding, unknowingly....Want to know more about the friendship break-up too....
I am sooo glad the room is back!😃

Nice post, Aditee..😃

Frankly I think we are being hard on Sunil- he is a father -- and in wanting the best..a parent is also most afraid for the child,.....'My god if my son fails at being a singer, I would not know what to- but if he does not do very well in business I can guide him'...He is afraid for his son and therefore upset...parents often associate 'alternative careers' as 'unsafe' and therefore our children must not pursue...no security...

As for drugs etc...thats exactly the point...all of that you mention there are solutions to those failures...they are 'known' failures, and remember all this happens post aimlessness...he does not want Shaan to reach that stage...of post aimlessness where then the boy is out of control (drugs etc) and 'phir main kuch nahin kar paonga' dialogue to Madhavi...

This 'phir main kuch nahin kar paonga" can be preempted, but agar woh aisi direction (music here) mein chala gaya jiske baare mein kuch nahin jaanta aur kuch hua...'phir mujhe kya karna chahiye main nahin janta'...The latter fear is more scary than the former one...

As for your verbal sparring and humorous banter,,,chal yaar tere liye...one Shanakisim in anticipation of Sunil kicking Shaan and Khanak following suit...

Shaan: Tumhe pata hain Mujhe yakeen nahin hota ki dad ne mujhe ghar se nikala, kya woh mere liye kuch bhi feel nahin karte,,,,
Khanak: Shantanu, aap aisa kyun sochte ho?? Aada sochte hain ki unki business mein aap agar shamil hote tho aap ke liye assaan hota agar aap gir bhi jaate tho malham lagana unhe pata hota...yahi tho hai unki pyaar ki paribhasha...aap samajh rahe ho na...
Shaan: Kya??? Paribhasha...man...Khanak mujhe tumhari HINDI bhasha samajh mein nahin aati tho kya Paribhasha yaar....???
Shall think up of Shanakisims for music....

I get it "fear of the unknown" may be.......... but I still maintain that Shaan will easily score an 8/10 on the "ideal son rating" list
The only thing I might accuse him of are being impulsive, short tempered (at times) and lacking clear direction in his professional life.
I read this on the "Msg to the CVs" post, some gal had written,
"Hope they dont show him whining and sobbing too much" or something to that effect
I concur!
RBO has been cooked to perfection with the most perfect measurement of ingredients.............. drama, humor, poignancy, love, romance, passion, work/business talks (this would score the least on my list)
The font in blue takes precedence over the rest. Rightfully so, as its a love story!
I DONT want RBO to become a driver of social change, about how a "young irresponsible wealthy married guy finds his life's calling"
(If I did I would watch "Baba aiso var dhundo" or " Balika Vadhu")
I want it to be what it was/is.
Of two people falling in love and trying to stay in love
Desi TV women transform into crusaders, after one night of making love. (It must traumatize them SO much I think😉)
Woh subah uthkar, they hang up their fun clothes, fun atitude, the works and author the "Idiots guide to becoming a perfect bahu"
Us as viewers are left stranded/scrambling to find the love story.
Story mein woh WIFE (read LIFE) element feature hi nahi karta.
They are SO BOGGED down by the tasks of random sleuthing, spying, fixing devars marriages, finding hubby's ex lover(s), fending from Mom in laws's hand grenades..................
FOR THAT SAKE
I HOPE IT WILL REMAIN A LOVE STORY AND NOT BECOME A SERMON on
A "How to support your clueless husband no matter what ridiculous plan he comes up with"
B Act as a saintly bridge between in-laws and hubby
C Bend over backwards to impress hubby's new found friends, in an attempt to "belong"
D Bring estranged Dad in Law and Mom in law back together
E Give flaky sister in law a crash course on what a "patni's kartavya" is
I get Astha channel also, I can watch it all in there😉
I may be a minority here on this Forum, but I EXPECTED her to believe singing is a ridiculous choice of profession for a married 24 year old!
But nahi!
She actually offered it to him, after tearing up on seeing him sing at the pub!😭
Maybe she is glad ki kuch to karega.
Mujhe in dono ki love story chahiye, NOT SEEING THEM IN BED ALL THE TIME, NO WAY, but real, normal everyday interactions of how much they love/hate somethings about the other, how much they miss each other at the end of the day (ALL NEWLY WEDS DO), going to beaches, on a drive (jab tak baap gaadi nahi chheenta😆) the trials and failures involved in trying to sing AFTER 5 (?) years. Uptil now EVERYTHING about her happens to be totally adorable and likeable. How is that possible?
Is he the only person with a boat load of flaws? Why?😕
I would like to see, things about her that annoys him for a change😉
Looooooong wish list and IPL fast approaching😡

OH MY GAWD Aditeee.....cannot agree more with you...LOVE LOVE LOVE this part of your post...lekin tahts the problem...from a practical angle...what are dialogue writers and storywallahs going to write about in a 6 day week show,,,,I am still hanging on thinking that once this dust settles, CVs will go back to rom-com format...they are using this time for developing rasam backstory etc....
I may be a minority here on this Forum, but I EXPECTED her to believe singing is a ridiculous choice of profession for a married 24 year old!
But nahi!

Now this is where I differ...remember Khanak is end of the day a girl from the village- jo pati ko sirf khush dekhna chahti hai...agar woh teen shabd kisiko itni kushi dete hain tho hum kyoon use kehne mein hichkichaye....so her offer is to be viewed as ...'bingo"!!! you the wonderful wife got it...for a TV serial I can actually take it...and you know I get it...
As for her tearing up...thats simple, it was becos he "LIED" had nothing to with him singing at the pub..
Mujhe in dono ki love story chahiye, NOT SEEING THEM IN BED ALL THE TIME, NO WAY, but real, normal everyday interactions of how much they love/hate somethings about the other.

OH Of course....real everyday interaction throwing in those romcom dialogues with so much panache ...is what brought us here and frankly end of the day that is really what makes shows evergreen...simple stories told simply enacted in a simple fashion...

Frankly, today I did not like the BG music..it was not the usual violin music which is played in a low tempo during dialogues and then increases during the face/expression shots...see this Sunil-Khanak and later Shaan confrontation vs. Sunil-Shaan during the '''hum actually kya hai aur logon ko kya dikhate hai..isme zameen aasman ka farak hai dad.." the latter's BG does not distract and is fabulous...
