Hey Gaayu,
I know its a little late in the day to reply to ur comments..........but it's better late than never right!!
U've raised a very pertinent question by asking "Why do people fall apart?.........that's something which i don't think most of us hv a crystal-clear answer to!! The reasons cld be manifold, but if u ask me to put the finger on that one reason......it wld be the 2 individuals (partners/friends) concerned wanting different things from life, growing in different directions, and hence kinda "outgrowing" one another!! Maybe that's why it's so important to keep working at any relationship that we treasure.....to keep the love/bond alive......for it to reach a stage when U can still be "there" without actually being there!!
As regards, the ShaNak issue, u've hit the nail on its head, lady when U say that it all started with Shaan feeling 'responsible' for Khanak's well-being, with her past and all.....and as their bond grew from strength to strength, Tashu was plagued by her own insecurities vis-vis Shaan. In the midst of this all, the Shaan-Tashu bond gave way 'cos it was not so strong after all (it actually rhymed)😆😆..........i guess somewhere Khanak's unwavering support and belief in her husband proved to be the clincher; as i'd said earlier Tashu was nice, but Khanak was nicer!!
btw, thanks for liking my interpretation of 'type'.........much valued!!
Love,

Thanks Dyotona... I agree with u fully. Khanak brought with her that complete belief/faith in Shaan even before she knew him well or was in love with him.

In some scene, Shaan says, 'Natasha has known me for so long. But she still does not trust me'... Khanak trusted Shaan even without knowing him...

Looks like we have to take part in Jaya's GOTW:)

Hey Guys,
Love all the points that Gaayu and Dyo have mentioned.. I just wanted to add that perhaps Tashu mothered Shaan a lot, and always felt that he needed her help and assistance in whatever he did..whereas Khanak urged him to believe in himself whether it was working in the restaurant or presenting the project.. She sort of helped him grow up some..he's still in the process:))

@Gaayu: Absolutely Gal, it was Khanak's trust in Shaan that set her apart........hope to see Shaan respecting that a little more in the near future as well!!
@Sim Sim: Loved ur insight, Dearie! Natasha always presumed that Shaan was incapable of achieving anything, including something as basic as a presentation, on his own!! In sharp contrast was Khanak's simple take on telling Shaan to just reflect on his moments of self-worth, which spurred him on!! Gosh......those were the moments that made RBO what it was......simple, yet scintillating stuff!!

OMG TvRasika how did I miss this post???

Ok my two bit...

I must say I have always been a bit intrigued with how TV potrays 'married love' versus unmarried...I don;t know if this is like a 'fabric of Indian culture' or what...but there has always been a sanctity attached to marriage ...see all of our movies, TV shows, everytime a hero is forced into a marital situation despite having a super understanding super intelligent totally with it girlfriend, zoop the hero falls in love inevitably with his wife...of course how each serial treats the 'jilted' gf ..the jury is still out on that...most of the times, they make her into a negative vamp....

But here twas different...Shaan and Natasha are potrayed as college sweethearts so though they grew up together, Shaan only really 'grew' with Khanak. Natasha was the mother figure almost..she takes care of Shaan- his office presentation, knows when he is upset- whereas Khanak is a partner 50-50...

So where Natasha was ...Bolo na Shaan kya baat hai...Khanak. was ..'aap kitne swarthi ho' ...where Natasha was..'maine dee hui watch kahan hai?'....Khanak was 'haan haan ek shirt utar di tho doosri shirt pehen li...paise kya ped pe ooghte hain'... where Natasha was "Shaan main aa rahi hoon"...Khanak was .." Main kyu aaon..hum ek doosre kya baat karenge"...with Natasha Shaan never needed to make an effort, becos she was there...but for Khanak..twas different he had to prove himself...and Shaan liked the Shaan he became with Khanak...'Yaar Shaan tumhe log bahut underestimate karte hain"..and that is the true testament of LOVE...I love me when I am with you!!!!

Am I making sense...???

Nice post...very thought provoking..

@Saaz
Welcome aboard dear! Liked ur name too!!
Great in-depth analysis, gal! Loved the way u brought out the differences in the Shaan-Tashu relationship vs the Shaan-Khanak equation........impressive stuff, really!!👏👏👏
As U rightly mentioned, being on an equal footing with ur partner is the key to any successful relationship.....something that Khanak, even with her non over-bearing, simple, yet charming ways managed to convey so effectively to Shaan!!
Cheers!!

@TvRasika...Sure, shall check it out...can I call you Gayu too?

@Doytona..Thanks for the welcome dear and I am glad you liked the post..I liked your analysis very much..frankly, I was hoping that Shaan would say something more than Khanak is a good sister, bahu and wife to Sam...I mean in response to Sam;s q, that was hardly an answer..I mean W*H...Natasha was all that too...I wanted Shaan to say...jab main Khanak ke saath hota hoon...etc.....but you know something I knew then that the writing had faltered in the show...
