@ Manita and Sejal

I agree with your views. Shaan is the weakest link here. Not really

Have the CVs weakened Shaan's characeter? We can still love the character but we have to recognise that our hero is weak, with lots of faults, not the perfect man.Like Manita says, if Shaan didn't have KT's charm, he would have had it from me! This man is so hopeless I would not want to spend my life with him, at least till I send him for rehabilitation in a correction center😆 Yes he is weakened and i love this about any show , no one is perfect , some relations makes them realise many things in life and help them to grow , thats why i like Shan and Rudra, none of them r bad who loves to hurt others , both r close to real life character's... Its gud we have them since I have seen many shows where Hero ji is either way tooooo gud or way too bad and then turns to become one real supernaturally unbelievable person 😆, but here cvs are doing excellent job in showing both of them with flaws N at same time balancing them by showing their good side too (Am i going to be kicked as i added Rudra too , wat to do he is not ur regular hero just like shan)

Or, are the CVs deliberately showing Shaan as so immature? I mean, he was silly, and then became all mature and even promised Khanak he wll get the haveli back with his own money, and then is back to being immature again. Is RBO the story of Khanak-Taashu, and not Khanak-Shaan? Yes they did show him immature, it would ruin the show if they show immaturity in matured shan (which they r doing ) ... I would rather not answer ur question about shanak or tashu/khanak in a way its balance but its silly too.....

Frankly, I find Khanak's character also becoming extremely silly... if not for Yashu and Karan, I would feel like shaking the two of them... with past episodes yes , she is being ruined ..... having masti is something gud but in process of showing masti they r killing her role which not many r noticing as its very cleverly covered

Loved your response...

Abt Taashu being more mature, depends on what we mean by maturity. To me, it means being able to put others before oneself, being able to step back and look at an issue without bias (to the best of one's ability), and to think of long-term interests, not just short term goals. In that sense, I do consider Taashu to be more mature than Khanak or Shaan.

Sacrifice does not always mean being mature. Sacrificing one's own happiness is one thing. But to sacrifice someone else's happiness, we need that person's permission. Neither Khanak nor Shaan had each other's permission to sacrifice for Taashu because they did not speak to each other how they feel.

About Khanak's character, yes, there seems to be a danger of that character being lost in the demand for ShaNak romance, and nok-jhok and chulbuli, natkati actions. But I have faith in Swapna ji... she was away, not on holiday, but I think in her absense the CV team of RBO kind of lost their way. Now that she is back, I hope she is reading the script and paying attention to the inconsistencies in the track and correcting them.

The shaadi track was the stupidest in RBO. I agree.

About Shaan, I agree, not everyone is perfect and no literary hero is... so that's o.k. But there is a very thin line between being imperfect, and being downright silly. Can't be silly and a hero... hope they dont make Shaan silly in order to enhance Taashu-Khanak characterisation.

I don't know any TV hero who is perfect though... in my observation, TV heroines are irritating, trying to be perfect whatever and driving everyone mad!

I strongly believe maturity doesnt come with age, it comes when we see things with open mind without being Biased(same pinch) ... shanak were caught in so called confused state n hence even after knowing they were meant to be and saying it agian and again its forget it nothing to add ..

Neither Khanak nor Shaan had each other's permission to sacrifice for Taashu because they did not speak to each other how they feel. Honestly i dont believe this sacrifice thing, as it will leave a wound which time and no one will ever be able to heal, yes they didnot speak but actions speak louder than words , i was surprised and felt like betrayed when they showed so many romantic scenes before giving this confusion which ultimately lead to sacrifice ,

Donno , but agree to Underlined ones, iam not against but to gain viewership they r adding more masti which is not required at times and covering it up with romance . I donno about swapna ji and what team was thinking .,.

The shaadi track was the stupidest in RBO. I agree. Not only shaadi , but this latest running around, beating in bushes , no confession and that too when both of them were dying to hear it , iam lost ..................

Gayuu....nice topic ....I am rushing out ..so heres what I thought ....
Being able to take correct decisions does not make you a better person...coz for everyone circumstances and outcomes of the decision with which you have to live with is different ...
We can live with hurting ourselves if we feel the cause is correct but its difficult to live with the guilt that you made someone unhappy for your own happiness..which was the case for Shaan and Khanak where both of them were trying to see beyond their hapiness at that point of time....
For Tashu it was easy to take this decision because she was doing the correct thing by two people and giving them happiness...The person she was hurting by doing this is herself........you can live with tht...my views solely...
It does not make her a better person than Shaan or khanak but a better placed person to take the decision...

@priya :- I disagree with u on khanak being guilty , i mean come on she knows shan loves her and want to spend life with her and not with tashu , so was she doing it for tashu and by doing it wasnt she betraying shan and tashu ?? sorry but here i divert

@ Priya
U r right in why it might have been easier for Taashu to take the decision because she was hurting only herself. Precisely why it should have been difficult for Khanak and Shaan to take the decision they did, to go ahead with the marriage, because they were not just hurting themselves but each other and Taashu. That is wrong and these two were in the wrong in my view...

what if Taashu had been equally stupid like them? 3 lives would have been destroyed... agreed this is fiction but fiction reflects and influences real life... thats why I am intrigued and disturbed by this track.

@ Jaya
I agree with u... am not clear at all why Khanak does not want to hear Shaan tell her ILU. Simply does not make sense.

@ Jaya and Gaayu, Amrita, Sehju ..............lovely replies..........

i agree that in other shows TV heroines are downright silly.............i know our characters are a little real..............

but i just want one question answered, this regularly haunts me, .............

it is absolutely ok to have an imperfect, normal, immature or silly 'human' as a hero/ husband.........but do you really support the fact that it is ok to have a careless person as a hero / husband ?

Viewing the whole scenario from khanak's angle----he did not even once think about her....
After the engagement fiasco itself, he should have realised that this lady who is his wife was a young widow..........it would be completely impossible for her to go back to dhulwadi............she would have to face so much.................i kept thinking all this while that does shaan realise his moral responsibility ???
i am not considering the love angle....confession...letter swap anything........even if you are not in love, man you are her husband.........u can't walk off........................and this could have been the best answer to everybody...............he didn't do it......
I was always worried that if shaan has decided that he will go ahead with the marriage with taashu............what does he think khanak should do and did he ever give it a thought that where would the poor girl go ????? this was the most irresponsible decision of Shaan in the whole show..............i ignore all other types of idiocy..............they appear cute, this one doesn't.

and now on top of it if we consider he loved her..........................i would wonder--"yeh kaisa pyaar hai ??"..............................

if I would have been in khanak's place, given the fact that even i am human, i would have been very very hurt and my ego would have taken the story in a completely different direction..............
i am with khanak...................she has to show more attitude.................how can he let her go man?????

@ Manita
Hats off to u yaar... in between ur work which is million times more busy than for most of us, u come here... thanx...

I love these kind of moral/ethical dilemmas because well, am a nerd, but also bcos thats what life is abt na... full of dilemmas and questions with no easy answers.

(sorry all younger people here, dont mean to be preachy or boring... i really do like ShaNak:))

About your question, I am fully with u on that and Shaan does come across as completely irresponsible. I wsh Sidra would join and give her two cents' worth... thats why I was slightly outraged at tuesday's episode, the two fighting like kids in the middle of the street! Khanak should have given a tight hard slap, but how could she? she was equally stupid.

Till now, we have not been shown at al whether Shaan ever wondered what Khanak will do in Dhulwadi. We heard him say once that he wants to nibhaofy the rishta for 6 months! Then dude, stick to it! at least for six months. a word given is a word given!

Would I prefer a hero with faults/silly/charming? No. For me, moral principles are far more important than nok-jhok. i would not have accepted Shaan if I had been Khanak. But Khanak is no saint here, so she has nothing to say in her credit.

well dear gaayu
i COMPLETELY AGREE WITH MANITA
I think tashu has a real easy decison to make now that she knows shan does not love her... and it is much much harder for khanak to give up after knowing fully that shan luves her.. so i am with khaank she is the better person...AND THE REASONS GIVEN BY MANITA ARE PERFECT.
