cant help it at all indeed!

if the complete conversation/reasoning hasnt been read before answering

whatever

hey piya *hugs*
how are u

KT is a nice choice of an actor in more than one way...when he started off in his first drama, he didnt have a luggage of fans ....but he developed a following and so the makers know for a fact that he has a certain appeal!

which is good!

the makers deliver sometimes...depends on who the makers are...i dont strust star one makers..after honeymoon period(the completion of the basic premise) most stories go down the drain..for some reason I didnt see a lot of objectification in RBO which has recently started

Kavya
I am not as verbose as u are but u have clearly outlined the issues....the transitions seem awkward to me

maybe the character of shantanu hasnt come out as a whole..but given the amount of screen time he has had..i think it is good time!...

what was it that he felt for natasha..just a deep friendship that he mistook for love... why is he leaving her for a spin...mental two timing is also two timing😆
and if natasha and him had such a great relationship, is verbalising his emotions so difficult?😕

@ Caro
Why single out only Star One makers? All of them are the same I think, irrespective of channels... have slightly more hope on this creative team, but then who knows...

I am not trying to suggest here that your views and those of Kavya abt RBO are wrong. But I am wondering if the issue is even about individual soaps, or about the whole lot... I can think of similar points about almost every single soap on air now... if you know of one that has all the right ingredients- believable script, excellent casting, visible chemistry between lead pair, no OTT dialogues or contrived situations, no saas-bahu evil kin angle, a clearly thinking hero and heroine- do let me know (send a PM; we r not supposed to discuss other shows here, LOL)... will give it a try....

Meanwhile, I am just going to hope for this transitionary phase to end... another show that I had hopes on (on another channel) is expected to bite the dust soon, so looks like my waiting will last a while! :)

TVR I will go out on a limb and say YES! YES there is , I will PM you the name of the show , it has ALL the things underlined, trust me! Although I wouldn't say the heroine is exactly clear thinking but the character is somewhat immature and child-like but endearing nevertheless, you will know when you watch the show. In fact I have the avis from that show in my siggy and profile pic 😛

Hi Kavya,
Guessed as much from the avi... have seen the show. Forgive me but I wasn't impressed. Not my kind of show I guess. but it's not too bad... my parents watch it and like it... I guess we all have our likes and dislikes...

But one warning though- what looks good today does not mean it will last forever, LOL... I can give u names of 2 shows at least which were brilliant in the first 3-4 months, why in one case, even 6 months....one is a total disaster now and another... oh well...Hope the show u like remains that way....

lol TVR

why i singled star one shows

initially, all that i followed were star one shows..and all of their stories sank

do u knw the head of star one personally supervises one show currently..I will not name it here..

and ya i dont watch the show in kavyas siggies regularly as well..

each channel is organised with an apparent target audience in mind..only star one's target audience doesnt work for me very well

i can give you example shows too....but they are all japanese/taiwanese/korean...and they are fun...but i doubt if they will work...

we all have our different tastes and jsutifications

Star one head personally supervises one show? LOL... u got to me PM me that yaar:)

Have heard of Korean serials. Apparently they r good....

Me on a permanent hunt for a good show and will watch it as long as I find it good... at the moment, RBO in spite of its flaws, is satisfying for me that way... but am always prepared, always... have learnt frm experience, LOL....

yes. u mlove krean flicks.that's so cool, i was in singapore f during which i developed a liking fo r the k flicks.,and japanese flicks too.
Won bin, jang dong gun,bae yong jun,lee byung hun ,rain, hyun bin, song hye kyo song seung hun ,and kim neung hal , eun Na above all these Japanes actress kyoko fukada are my favs all time.
And won bin so sweet and i wish all our telly stars who overact see some of his videos.,he plys the roles convincingly without overdoing them.
And the best thing about korean and japanese drams is that they do not drag indefinitely even if it is highly successful.
@tv rasika do try and watch korean/japanese dramas with subtitles, they are very interesting.

@ Kavya,
Got ur PM. will watch the scenes... I don't dislike SGP... will deffo watch it am sure in India 'cos my parents are crazy abt it...

Thank god Bengali serials are good... may be more remake of regional serials will improve quality? Bcos regional language serials address issues more realistically I think... ofcourse u know my opinion on Tamil serials, but may be Telugu ones are better?

Really nice to hear frm u and Caro....

@TVR: Telugu ones - some start well and on an interesting note but like it always happens they lose track later, in general though, most of them are highly unbearable! I'd rather watch Shantanu's towel dance than those shows 😆
