Enjoy. <3

Shayaad Yeh Pyaar Hai
Shaan took her in his arms, and tenderly stroked her hair. He saw the pain in Khanak's eyes... and consoled her; he let her cry it out. In his drunken state, he wasn't too sure of why he was doing this, but all he knew was that he was doing the right thing.
"Please Khanak, muhje maaf kar do... I'm really sorry ke maine tumhe dhuk pochaya hai." Khanak looked up at him, unable to comprehend his apology until she saw his eyes...
Was that tenderness in his eyes? For her? Khanak was amazed, she never thought Shaan would look at her like that. She then saw she was still in his arms, and realised she liked it there. Her eyes widened - she liked it in his arms? That look of comfort, his tender hug, it was too much for Khanak to handle, and she let go of him.
Shaan let her go, wondering if she would ever forgive him. He watched her silently make her way up the stairs, and in that moment, he realised he couldn't bear for her to walk away from him. Not again.
"Khanak..."
She turned, and saw him standing there with a sad expression. It killed her inside to see him like that, but until he realised that he wasn't only living for himself, but for someone else as well, she couldn't talk to him. She turned back, and continued her descent up the stairs.
"Khanak, please. Ek aur chance. And I promise, main sab theek kardunga. I promise. Please Khanak." Shaan continued pleading with Khanak to come back downstairs... he wanted her back, he wanted to listen to her silly stories, he wanted to hear her melodious laugh, he wanted... Huh? What the hell was wrong with him? This was KHANAK he was talking about. The girl who came in between him & his Tashu, the girl who ruined his laptop, the girl who... took care of him, who tried to do whatever she could to make him smile.
What was wrong with him? Why was he in two minds about Khanak? Why did he need her so much?
"Kya kaha aap ne?" Khanak was startled. Had he just asked why he needed her so much? She turned again, and saw the despair in his eyes. It made him look so helpless - something she knew he wasn't. She knew if she went upstairs, Shaan would continue to get drunk, and the person at fault would be her, so she made her way downstairs, and accidently stumbled on the hem of her sari. But she didn't fall on the floor, she fell right into Shaan's arms...
She looked up at him... he looked at her... he brushed aside the hair in her face, and cupped her face. She looked down, not knowing what was happening. He tilted her face upwards, forcing her to look at him. The intensity in his eyes was too much to take in, and she tried to loosen his grip on her, but it was of no use. He tightened his grip, and brought her closer. He saw the pain in her eyes, but he just didn't care. He held her closer, and willed for her to look at him.
She couldn't believe how close they were to each other. What was Shaan doing? She looked at him, and forgot her pain. She forgot everything. It was only her and Shaan, here, in this moment. She looked away, blushing, realising what she was thinking.
He turned her face towards him again, and moved in closer... she felt his breath tickling her face... he inched closer and closer... and she felt his lips brush hers. Her eyes widened realising what Shaan was doing. She closed her eyes...
He closed his eyes, wondering if what he was doing was right. He saw no one but her... and to him, she belonged. He softly touched her face, planting little kisses from the top of her head downwards... it felt so good...
"Shaan... Shaan... Shantanu!"
Shaan woke up with a start. Khanak was shaking him, asking him to go upstairs and sleep. Had it only been a dream?
Khanak looked at him despairingly - why was Shaan being so stubborn for? She had only walked upstairs to set his bed up. And now he was sleeping at the bottom of the stairs, no less.
Shaan looked at her... if what happened was a dream, why was he still thinking about her? Could it be?
