Ok!! RIVER MANDAKINI is another name of GANGES !!

RIVER GANGA was brought to CHITRAKOOT by sati anusuiyaaa!!! (the wife of sage atri) by her tapobal & tapasya !!!

RIVER GANGA flows as RIVER MANDAKINI in chitrakoot only !!! THROUGHOUT chitrakoot u will see RIVER MANDAKINI flowing ,b/w the jungles & all the ashrams there !!!

The water of river MANDAKINI IS GREEN Coloured & it's looks soooooo pleasing & soothing types!!!

RIVER MANDAKINI ends as RIVER GANGA at the RAM GHAAT area of CHITRAKOOT !!! RAM GHAAT area is at the border of uttar Pradesh & madhyapradesh !! THE PLACE CHITRAKOOT is at uttarpradesh & in Madhya Pradesh (so half of chitrakoot is in U.P &rest in M.P)

well !! besides CHITRAKOOT ,u will also get to see river MANDAKINI flowing at KEDARNATH !!(in himalaya's ) ,only a small part of river MANDAKINI cud be seen in kedarnath !!!😛,so river MANDAKINI cud be seen (mainly ) in CHITRAKOOT & only a small part of it flows at kedarnath (in himalya's ) .😛

do visit this beautiful auspicious place CHITRAKOOT in UTTAR PRADESH (almost all chitrakoot is in uttar pradesh ,only a small part of RAM GHAAT area is in madhya pradesh !!)

i searched but couldn't find the meaning of Mandakini. But have heard that it's just a name of a river. Also heared that its another name for Aakash Ganga (galaxy).
