Death of Laxman

Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me how laxman died ?
I have read somewhere that, he had not followed one of the orders of Ram...and so Ram had to abandoned him too...

Is this true ??? If anybody know abt this, then please post the info....

After seeta devi's departure,SHRI RAM almost renounced this world and a time came when he thought to return to VAIKUNTH LOK.HE called DEVRISHI NARAD for a secret conferance and asked lakshman to remain as a gatekeeper to the room in which the private discussion was going on.lakshman ji as an obidient brother carried out his order.in the meantime MAHARISHI DURVASA came there and insisted on meeting SHRI RAM.lakshmanji didn't allow him so,he cursed lakshmanji that he'll die very soon.lakshmanji readily accepted this.
i have heared that INDRA ,the king of gods,himself had come to take lakshmanji to his eternal abode

RAMJI loved SITAJI sooooooooooo much ,he became a sanyasi after SITAJI'S DEPARTURE TO PAATAL LOK with her mother earth.

why rishi durvaasa always in rage & used to give shraap(curse ) to everyone,what's the point of being called rishi then !!!!

Laxman was truly a great...

Hi Chillirocks,
Just one modification. According to Valmiki Ramayan, Kaal came disguised as a sage to meet Ram. He put a condition that no body should enter that room so long Kaal was there or else, he (i.e. the intruder) should be given death punishment. Ram trusted his brother Laxman much more than the security person at the door. Therefore, Ram called Laxman and asked him to stand at the door instead of that security person. He also said that nobody should be allowed to enter that room or else the intruder would be given death punishment.
Laxman did the same. Sage Durvasa came and wanted to meet Ram. Remebering Ram's orders, Laxman requested Durvasa to wait. Durvasa got angry and threatened that he would curse the entire family of Laxman. Laxman thought, "It is better for me to get death punishment than so many people getting cursed." He went inside and informed Ram about Durvasa's arrival. By that time, Kaal had finished talking to Ram. Ram asked Laxman to bring Durvasa with respect. Kaal left and Durvasa entered. Ram provided hospitality to Durvasa. Durvasa went satisfied. Then Ram was very sad because he had to give death punishment to his dear brother Laxman. Vashishth and other sages suggested to Ram than banishing Laxman would be equivalent to death for him. Laxman heard this. Without saying anything to anybody and without even meeting anybody, he went to river and entered it. Lord Indra came to take him. Thus Laxman incarnation was over.

Kaal put a condition that he would give message to Ram only if Ram agreed to give punishment to an intruder. Since, without this condition being accepted, Kaal would not have given his message, therefore, Ram had to accept this condition.
But, being karuna-nidhan, Ram would have been really hurt if he had to give death punishment to somebody just because that person entered that room. For that, it was a must to not let anybody enter. Ram had more faith in his brother Laxman than the security person at the door. This is why Ram asked Laxman to stand at the door and make sure that nobody enters.
It is also important to note that the death of Laxman was not an ordinary death. Rather, it was the end of his Laxman incarnation.

rishi durwasa was such a stubborn rishi !!! i really don't like him for cursing laxman ji !!!

Kaal told Ram that he n his bros must end their life as the r in human form n humans cant be immortal. It wud be against laws of nature if a human is made immortal.(Ram n his bros cant be killed.)
Here Durvasa was mere a "NIMITTA". Ram n his bros need a reason to end their life so that they can return to Baikuntha
