Kush, Luv reach Alkapuri, Hanuman reveals himself

Finally!!! Today, after they managed to escape from the Hansel cottage, they realized their mistake and Kush returned to the lake and apologized to the Yaksha for accepting the golden bow, and got back their own. He then returned, and both of them shot the witch dead. At least we didn't have Luv push her into an oven, a la Gretel

So they start climbing the mountain, and reach the gates of Alkapuri. The guard there refuses to let them in, and when K-L prepare to fight, the guard creates a storm that blows hard at them, and is about to spear them. This time, Hanuman, w/o taking any permission from Shiva, assumes his real form and intervenes, and knocks the spear out of the guard's hands. The guard, recognizing Hanuman, agrees to let Kubera know of their visit.

Kush and Luv now have flashbacks of everything that happened, and realize that this was Hanuman all along. They are miffed at him for having taken so many disguises and been so deceptive (DUH!!!) Hanuman assuages them by assuring them that he won't take any more disguises w/ them, and everything is once again hunky dory.

Kubera himself comes out and welcomes them, since Hanuman is there, and brings them in. He agrees w/ Hanuman that it would be most appropriate if they took the swarna kamal w/ them. He invites them to enjoy his hospitality, but Kush & Luv explain that they are supposed to be back w/ the swarna-kamal by full moon. Kubera tells them that he cannot himself give it to anyone, and that they would have to demonstrate that they were worthy of it. He then takes them to the route that they need to take to get to the swarna-kamal. This is where it ends.

Good news - today, at least there is some sense of closure to this, although vidhi knows how many more obstacles these 2 have to overcome.

Preview: K-L go through an obstacle cave, with fire bursting in the middle. In some ways, it reminds me of the cave that Hanuman went through during the Ahi-Mahi saga.

Thanks Chandra for your update. Thank God, this adventure is almost over, the kids are at the final stage in getting the kamal. Hopefully our Ramji will appear sometime this week!

There is a simple test of that. If after May 13, they stop creating new adventures for Kush & Luv and start showing the real story, be it Shatrughan's conquest of Mathura, Kush-Luv studying, the Ashwamedha yagna, et al, then it will prove you right. But if the Sagars simply drag it with another adventure, then they will have worked towards disproving your theory.

There may still be a number of tests for them to pass in Kubera-lok - the moh-greed-fear triple-decker combo - before they get to the swarna kamal. I think they'll be back @ Valmiki's somewhere middle of next week.

I wonder what could they show of Rama at this point in time? Unless he's kicking off the yagna?

Normally wouldn't a king be informed of what's happening in his kingdom and neighbourhood? An event of dislodging a Shivalinga takes place and two kids set forth to Kuber lok and things like that... which is not normal. Do the royal spies not inform the king of such matters?
