Janaki, thanks for the info on the movie. I'll watch it when I get time. As far as I know it hasn't been released in Tamil.

Asha, the story of sage Aghasthya defeating Ravan in the art of playing the Veena is quite popular but I do not know the origin of the story.

As for the history of Tamil Nadu there are lots of information we have lost. But the incident I have stated is from Kalidasa's Raghuvamsa and not from the Pandya History. I do not have that much information to claim that it is the truth or not but I can refer more on this and get back.

Yes, Vibhishna it is.

I'll surely get back with more information. But please forgive me for saying so - I wont be able to get back so soon. I am so caught up with loads of work that I wont be free until mid - May. To trace back History and to find a logical explanation, I need time to search, refer and think. I'll get back as soon as possible.

Hey Vibs, this is the reason I am not posting much too. I am busy till end of May and the questions Vrisha and Lalitha asked...they need some time to research.
