Btw, what's with the name change - just got married? 😆

Incidentally, I believe in the polytheistic aspect of Hinduism - God being many!!! Of course, that's landed me into arguments in other places.

Ha Ha, very funny.😆
I just wanted a change in username. When I first joined IF, I did not know I would get so addicted, and before I joined, I was in an argument with someone over God. She was saying how weird it was that Hindus believe in many Gods, and I was telling her that though we believe in many Gods, ultimately God is one. And when I was wracking my brains for a username, I was still seething over the argument so I just wrote godisone for a username, and heck, it wasn't taken so that became my username.😆
But in IF, lots of people mistake be for a guy (in other forums), and it gets pretty annoying when they say ,"wait, you're female?" so I changed the username to something that makes it pretty obvious that I am not a guy.😆

Yes, everyone knew. Even the people of Ayodhya knew. Yet, they still talked about Sita Mata like that and had no pity for her.😭
I have a question. Was it only the people of Ayodhya who were super super super super strict about the chastity of their Queen? Because in the Kishkindha Kanda, after Vali died and Sugriva was made King, his wife Ruma (who Vali abducted and had *ahem* *ahem* yeah) was made Maharani, the people of Kishkindha had no problem with her being Queen, as far as I know at least. Was it because they were vanaras and they were more lenient, or was it just that the people of Ayodhya were different?
I never understood that part of Ramayan. Why was Ruma accpted as Maharani when a Mahasati like Sita Devi was not? Not to insult Ruma or anything, but I was just confused.

What a difference 2 hours can make. 😊 I am now ready to laugh and relax over the weekend. So, bring on all the laughter now and I can handle the jokes at my expense. 😆😆
😆
Okay, my Sagar comment was funny. 😆😆😆 Accept that! 😆😆😆 I was mad because you were having all the fun (at my expense I might add) when I was pulling my hair in frustration . I read the first line of Vibishna's post and I posted in a hurry. 🤣🤣🤣 I really thought you guys were talking about Ramanand Sagar. 🤣 I just want to add "no offense to the Sagars." 😃 I think they do read our posts.

I also found out the reason for celebration. Congrats on the 900! 🥳
Have a good weekend! I am off to have some fun before manic Monday 😡😡 hits again.😆
😆

Glad you're back to your cheerful mood Mandodari.😃

Yes, as Lalitha said, it was known that Sita Devi was expecting a child.
As for the vanars, as Vali had said when he accused Ram of being unjust, they being vanars were not bound by the laws that Humans follow. Vali also said that they do as they please and live as they please.

I think probably the people of Kishkindha (mostly Vanars) were not that civilised to think in those terms. But the people in Ayodhya were definitely more civilised and had their brains working too much. I think this is same reason why Ayodhyavaasis revolt against Kaikeyi for exiling Ram while there is no revolt in Kishkindha when Sugriv is thrown out.
