Mango, thanks for the Ravan serial reference. Which episode was it - I'll watch.

That episode surprised me as well - none of the 4 brothers could be defeated in war, let alone be wounded with life threatening injuries. It took warriors like Indrajit, Ravan and Lavanasura to wound Rama, Lakshman and Shatrughan, but here was Bharat being wounded by rulers who couldn't even lift Shiva's bow. Besides, it's unthinkable that those rulers, having been humiliated, would re-surface to challenge Rama, when Dasharath already was the recognized emperor of the entire earth.
I too am curious about the origin of this story.
It might be true that the Sagars wanted to show how caring and responsible Ram was. The episode was totally awesome. Everyone's performance was excellent. By the way, is there a way to watch the episode again? I was not able to watch it from any site. Can someone help me?
Thank you all for responding.
The last episode was done very well. Each one's expressions and the tension of the next day (the last day of war) was shown very well. The song was beautiful. And the three mothers discussing at Ayodhya, Ram thinking of Sita and Lakshman of Urmila was so touching. Kaushalya was right in thinking about what will happen after Sita is freed from Ravan's clutches. She was the oldest of the three and will have enough experience to see ahead and guess that Sita's life will be more painful henceforth.

Promo of the next episode:Matali was shown bowing to Ram and telling Lord Ram that Indra Dev had sent him his own divine chariot. Lord Ram thanks Indra Dev and climbs onto the chariot. Ram and Ravan are shown riding their celestial chariots and at top speed (they show the two of them riding thunderously among fast moving clouds - dark and black sky and greyish clouds with a slight whitish glow) with furious expressions. (In this promo they show either Ram only or Ravan only in the chariot - not both together). Ravan aims and shoots an arrow that multiplies into hundreds of arrows and fly swiftly (a curved path like an arc). Ram aims and shoots an arrow which does the same.(I'm not sure if I have explained it all well - I was totally awestruck by the second half of the promo. Please excuse me if I haven't explained properly. The effects were too good. I couldn't find the right words.)

Yeup i saw the promo too....i'm stoked to watch the episode and seriously want to see how they are gonna show this war between Ram and Ravan!!!!! I wonder if they are going to stretch the last war for a couple to few episodes...b/c i'm def wanting to see Laxman's reaction at the Agni Pareeksha given to Sita by Ramji.....i thought it was so cute in the Old Ramayan how they showed it...now this one has got to be good!!!!!

in the Old Ramayan, they showed it in a song and it was very brief as well!!!
But yes, Sunil Lahri (Laxman in old Ramayan..hope i got his name right!!!) did a fab job as Laxmanji and did show the anger very well!!!!!!!!!! Lets see how Ankit does!!

I agree with you bharat999...ur right his name is Sunil Lahri...and i always found his anger so cute rather than as anger...there was so much love hidden in his anger...Ankit is doing just as good in his own style..but i'm def eager to watch how he sticks up for his dearest Bhabi against his brother whom he has always respected and never talked in a high tone to!!!!! Def worth something watching!!!!
