Jan.22 episode was just wonderful. Everyone did an outstanding job. Kaushalya mata was the best with her emotions and pain! Her dialogue was just so painful about Sitaji's suffering😭😭Mandodhari also stood out with her heartfelt emotions. Just sad all around😭😭 The background song was lovely. Pushpavatika, and marriage scenes were a delight to watch again.Lakshman and Urmila scene was very touching too!

wooohoo buddy hi how r u priya
ah all must be wondering why i m doing this in discussion thread
yaar she is my buddy my freind priya nair
u guys better beware ok😈😈
badi unchee cheez hai hum
dont uljho with me if u all know what i mean eh
now good thing priya gues this sticky was needed
i think last two episodes have been done very well
everyones expressions emotions tensions they all exceeded including our lollypop uncle 😆😆
make me feel ravan is going out with a bang now
i loved the dialogues by ravan here
if ram is human he wont survive
and if ram is naryaan then it wud be still an honour or victory for ravan that narayan has to come and kill him
i loved it
and what i thnk now ravan is right he cant just surrender at this stage
for one there would be no ramayan for another for his egos or expectations or pride his whole family was wiped out
how can he just destroy the bravery of his family at this stage
kaushalya lamented for her bahu and as chandra said it was kind of odd to think ahead of times for a woman like that
rest i m still waiting for sagars to show behind the scenes

There are quite a few accounts of the stories behind Ravan's end, and I wonder which one is going to surface next week. Last night, while we were watching it, my uncle mentioned to me that the weapon used to kill him was obtained by Hanuman from Mandodari by tricking her (wonder whether it was in the Krittivas Ramayan?) According to this, that weapon had been in Mandodari's possession, and buried within a pillar in her quarters. Hanuman found out that only Mandodari had that weapon, so he took the form/disguise as Ravan, and visited her, and asked her for the weapon. Mandodari told him that it was buried in that pillar, and then Hanuman took his real ginormous form, broke the pillar and stole it from under Mandodari's nose.

This is the first time I'm hearing this account, so has anyone else heard this before?

@ Chanderketu...
actually I saw in the show Ravan that came on ZeeTV that Ravan had given Mandodari the weapon that could kill him and he himself didn't even knew where Mandodari hid it. When Vibhishan told Hanumanji about this weapon, Hanumanji disguised as a brahmin... Mandodari found out that a very known and highly respected muni has visited Lanka. She goes to meet him and to find out whether he knew the end result of the war. He mentions to her that she is the one who has hidden the weapon that could kill Ravan then why is she asking him about the war... Mandodari is surprised and spills out everything about how she has hidden the weapon in the pillar. Later, Hanumanji goes and gets the weapon from the pillar.
The last episode was amazing. I love the way they are showing the 3 mothers and ayodhaya... My wish coming true!!!
So what do u think, will the sagars just show Ravan's end next week or also show the agnipareeksha and everyone going back to Ayodhaya??? i am totally excited....

I too agree that there are so many versions on how Ravan dies in the end. I haven't heard the story of Hanuman stealing the weapon from Mandodhari before. This is entirely new to me.

Another request . . . (Sorry for posting a discussion of an episode that was telecast long ago).
Where does the story of Bharat getting hurt by Ram's rivals from the Swayamvar come from? (March 18 Episode, I think) The first time I heard about this story was from this series. Does anyone know from which version this story comes from?

Mango, thanks for the Ravan serial reference. Which episode was it - I'll watch.

Vibs

That episode surprised me as well - none of the 4 brothers could be defeated in war, let alone be wounded with life threatening injuries. It took warriors like Indrajit, Ravan and Lavanasura to wound Rama, Lakshman and Shatrughan, but here was Bharat being wounded by rulers who couldn't even lift Shiva's bow. Besides, it's unthinkable that those rulers, having been humiliated, would re-surface to challenge Rama, when Dasharath already was the recognized emperor of the entire earth.

I too am curious about the origin of this story.

Chandra ji, my opinion was the same too. Since the time I saw that episode, I was searching for the origin of that story. But couldn't find it till now.
