From everything I'm reading, I'm just surprised that nobody has decided to slap Rama as yetđ (Not that I'm for it, I'm just surprised that given the character profiles here, it hasn't been done)

I agree with u guys where u said that u liked the Ramanand Sagar's Sita's vanvas better. I think that is because Dada Sagar put his best efforts until the whole Ramayan was over. The new breed of Sagars r more interested in promoting their new serial Jo Ishq.đĄđĄđĄ
U know, the Sagars, if they did not wish to do the Uttarkhand they should not have done it. Now that they have decided to do it, they should put their best efforts and do it properly until it is finished. Very upset with the Sagars' for their lackluster response to Uttarkhand! đĄđĄđĄ
I agree with the blue part of your comments, but not the red ones. If you re-watch the RS Ramayan, you'll see a similar storyline, only sans the outrage from the family, although that too seeps in later. That version, however, had the same distortions as this - Rama brooding over what to do, Sita finding out from her maid, Vaishishtha giving bizzare advice to Rama, Lakshman exploding at Rama for his decision (although there, Rama, unlike here, shouts down Lakshman and orders him to simply do what he's told), Sita swearing never to defile the sacred throne again (WTF did she ever do that? đ˛) and finally, Sita telling Lakshman that Rama needs him more than she does (in contrast to what she actually tells him when she finds out). Sorry, but that version was every bit as FUBAR as this one is, and I've only described what's wrong with everything up to the point shown so far.
I liked today's epi more than previous ones, shown this week.

My take on Friday, March 27th 2009 episode.
Cons:
1. The praja. I did not understand the avadhis questioning Lakshman. The avadhis and others like them in the kingdom were the reason that Sita was banished. It was this very same praja that doubted their queen.
The Sagars goofed here. Instead of showing the praja questioning Lakshman, they should have shown them feeling bad about what they did to Sita. Sagars, please pay attention to the logic.
Fully agree! Looks like the Sagar scriptwriters are smoking something illegal while writing. The Avadhis were the reason that Sita was banished, and they have the gall (according to this convoluted storyline) to blame Lakshman for this? (I'll be seeing this week Sunday morning telethon - missed seeing the episodes W-F) Given Lakshman's mercurial temparament, he should have sent a few missiles their way and dispatched them to yamalok. Rama would have had to exile him, and he could have taken Urmi and gone over to Sita (yeah, yeah, I know nothing remotely like this happened, but if Sagars can screw around with the storyline, what's wrong with this one?đđđ
However, showing them feeling bad about Sita would have been illogical too. Instead, they should have (at this stage) shown them as praising Rama for not allowing what they feared would happen. And I agree with Sita11 that I'm happy that none of the royal women were shown supporting Rama's decision (this one is not a departure, given that Valmiki is silent about their reaction).
