Its true that there is no mention of the passing of Urmila, Mandvi and Shrutakirti. But I don't think they died before their mother in laws. Wouldn't it be better if it was shown after the passing of the Rajmatas? (Its just a suggestion). I would also like to see Urmila, Mandvi and Shrutakirti bringing up their kids and the bonding between 6 of them (later the 8 of them). It would be good if they show how Luv and Kush were welcomed by their cousins and other relatives (i.e., their first day of palace life). It would be nice if we can see all the 8 princes practice the arts (both the martial arts and fine arts) together.

Speaking of the kids, it wasn't the 6 of them, just 4: while Lakshman's & Bharat's kids were brought up in Ayodhya, Shatrughan's kids were born and brought up in Mathura, since he conquered Mathura following the birth of Kush & Luv, and his wife probably joined him after he was crowned. Must have had their kids after.

Mine was a suggestion too. Of course, not mentioning the bahus alongside the sons and grandsons may have been an oversight for Valmiki, but then again, the other reason might have been that they, like Sita, had passed on. I'd be fine with whatever they show, so long as they do not show Urmila become a widow.

It is possible that Shathrughan's kids were born and brought up in Madhura. I dont know much about the upbringing of the sons of Bharat, Lakshman and Shathrughan.

I read somewhere that Bharat, after conquering Gandhara was, made the king of that region and that he ruled as a king for 5 years before returning to Ayodhya as he couldn't stay away from Ram any longer. If this is true, then Bharat's sons might have been born during these 5 years. Also, Lakshman did not go away from Ram but he found a city (either he liked the place or he just built the city and the developed the surrounding region, I am not sure) and it was named Lakshmanpur (today's Lucknow). This region was given to Lakshman's sons to rule.
I don't think Urmila, Mandvi, Shrutakirti ever became widows. Either they passed away before their husbands left this world or they accompanied the four brothers when they decided to give up thier lives. Thinking again, I am not sure if I want to see the Bharat, Lakshman and Shathrughan grieve for their wives. But if they show it, I'll be fine with it anyway.

Your details about Bharat is partly correct - after conquering Gandhara, he stayed with his sons for 5 years and helped them found the cities of Takshashila (Takshila) and Pushkaravati (today's Jalalabad). However, his sons weren't born during that time - they fought alongside him in the conquest of Gandhara, alongside Kekaya-naresh Budhajit (son of Yudhajit) as well. Note that this was after the return of Kush & Luv, & passing of Kaushalya, so assuming that Mandavi had her children the same time Sita did, that would put their ages well above 12 (since all this happened well after Kush & Luv returned, and they were 12 when they did return).

As for Lakshman, Karapathudesh was described as being in the foothills of the Himalayas - I've tried to find out whether it's in modern Nepal, but so far have seen no data to that effect. Lucknow is nowhere near the foothills of the Himalayas. Also, the name Lakshmanpur doesn't sound like one that they would have come up with then - usually, the names ended with vati, like Kushavati, Pushkaravati, or other variations. Lakshman's sons - Chandraketu founded a city called Chandrakant, while Angad founded a city called Angadvad. That was Lakshman's last activity in life - he stayed with his sons for 1 year and helped them consolidate their control, and then he returned to Ayodhya.

If Urmila was alive at the time Lakshman had his final encounter Durvasa, she'd almost certainly have become a widow, since Lakshman did not go to Vaikunta alive. I agree with you that I don't think any of them ever became widows. Someone on Youtube theorized that just as all 4 brothers were a part of Vishnu's avatar, all 4 sisters were part of Lakshmi's avatar, and they passed on with Sita. Of course, that contradicts the known account of Sita's passing, where had she taken Urmila and others with her, that couldn't have gone unmentioned in Valmiki. More likely, they passed on sometime after that.

That does may a little sense. But still seems like no one is sure as to what happened to Urmaila, Mandavi adn Shrutkrit exactly? and exactly how and when they passed away.
There is no mention of them in Ramayan.
You know after Sitaji leaves with earth mata, the rest of the story is very sad and full of tears.

Chandra ji, now that you mention it, I remember that Bharat's sons and Yudhajit's son helped him defeat Gandhara. I can't believe I forgot it.😲😲😲
I completely agree with you that they must be more than 12 years old.
About Lakshmanpur, I am not sure. I read about it somewhere, but they might not have established its name as Lakshmanpur, they might have just referred to it that way. I am not sure.

They had some great scenes like that when Dhasharat Ji was alive.

i agree, i too would like to see these scenes and all four brothers spending times with their wives. I dont want the sagars to rush luv khush khand straight after the coronation. 😊

I read somewhere that all 4 sisters were blessed to be Sumangalis (one who is never a widow) by a sage, so they either passed away before their husbands or went to Vaikunth with them. In Urmila's case, she probably passed away before the whole Sage Durvasa thing.

As for Luv Kush Kand, I agree that a few scenes between the 4 brothers and their wives would be nice. In the older Luv Kush serial, there were very limited scenes between the 4 brothers and sisters, but what they showed, it was classic. I would like to see more scenes like that in this Luv Kush Kand, but.......
I don't think stretching it tooooo much will be good either. I think about 3 sweet moments between the 3 brothers and their wives each, and 5 sweet moments between Ram and Sita will be good before they proceed to Sitaji's exile. Anything more than that will seem too stretching and I would like to see more of Sitaji's exile and Luv Kush's upbringing.
I'm also eagerly looking forward to Luv and Kush's songs which they sing in the streets of Ayodhya and Ram's court. The ones in the old Luv Kush serial were breathtaking, and I still listen to them today.
I just hope they don't copy the tunes of the old ones, because it won't seem original, and Luv and Kush's songs are the main essence of Uttar Kand (at least for me), so I hope they come up with their own brilliant tunes.

Please DO NOT show chhaya Sita concept. Let the Sita, who was kidnapped by Ravan be real Sita.
