Uttar Ramayan Discussion Thread

There's a lot of threads that have to do with Sitaji's exile, the justifications of Ram exiling SitaMa, how LuvKush met their father, where Sita Mata went back to Prithvi Devi, etc.

I thought that if one thread was made for all of those discussions, it would save a lot of space. What do you all think?
If the mods think this thread is unnecessary, they can lock it. Just want to know your opinion.

Hey Godisone, I think this is a really good thread, as I have lots of questions that have to do with Uttar Ramayana, but it's hard to look for all the threads that have to do with it, so thanks for starting it!😃
Can anyone answer these questions I have, please?😊
1. Do you know if Bharata, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna had any daughters? And how many sons did each have and what were their names?
2. Did Luv and Kush rule Ayodhya together, or did they rule separate kingdoms? If they ruled separate kingdoms, what were their capital cities?
3. After SitaMa went with Prithvi Devi, where did she go? Did she go back to Vaikunta and wait for Rama to come back?

2. Did Luv and Kush rule Ayodhya together, or did they rule separate kingdoms? If they ruled separate kingdoms, what were their capital cities?
Kusha ruled southern kosala his capital was Kushavati, Lav ruled northern kosala with shravasti as its capital.
3. After SitaMa went with Prithvi Devi, where did she go? Did she go back to Vaikunta and wait for Rama to come back?
Sita reached vaikuntha via PataLa loka, In the form of Lakshmi she resides at Vaikuntha and in form of Sita she is with Rama at saket loka.

godisone,
That sage is Narad. Once Narad practised severe austerities. Kamdev tried a lot to break Narad's tapasya but did not succeed. Kamdev accepted his defeat.

Narad was puffed up with pride that he had defeated Kamdev. He went to Lord Shiv and said, "You are not the only one to have conquered Kamdev. I also have done that."

Lord Shiv smiled and said, "I am glad to know this. But do not brag over this to Vishnu."

Narad thought, "Lord Shiv is jealous of me. That is why he wants me to hide my success from Lord Vishnu. I am Lord Vishnu's devotee. He loves me so dearly. I am sure he will be glad to know of my victory."

Narad, with full pride, described to Vishnu how he (Narad) defeated Kamdev.

Vishnu said, "That is good. But be careful. You never know what may happen next."

Narad left Vishnu's abode and was wondering, "Does Lord Vishnu think that I am weak? Why should he ask me to be careful?"
Suddenly he saw a very beautiful city. He entered the city and, on enquiry, found that swamvar of the princess of that city was going to happen in just a few days. When Narad saw the princess, then he was captivated by her beauty."

Narad was wondeing how he can make the princess as his wife. He decided that if his face looks like Lord Vishnu's, then the princess will marry him. He went to Lord Vishnu and said, "God, give me the face of Hari."
Hari is another name of Lord Vishnu.
Vishnu said, "All right."

Being very happy, Narad went back to that city and went to that king's palace. The swyamvar was going on. Narad also participated in the swyamvar. Lots of kings are princes had come there. They were laughing when they looked at Narad. Lord Vishnu also came in that swyamvar as disguised. The pricess put garland in Vishnu's neck and married him."

Narad looked at his face in water and then found that his face looked like that of a monkey. He got very angry and went to Vaikunth to meet Lord Vishnu. He cursed Lord Vishnu that the Lord would have to bear the pain of separation from his wife.

Vishnu said, "Narad, you are a master of Sanskrit. You know that Hari means money also. That princess was a part of Laxmi. That city, that king, the people in the city were all illusions created by me. I did that to open your eyes. You had become full of ego because of your victory over Kamdev. Ego is never good."

Then Narad realised his mistake.

curse which separated them from each other in Uttar kand was given by Rishi Bhrigu (Shukracharya's father). The story behind this curse is that 'once Shukraacharya's mother gave protection to some Demons in her hermitage during a war between Gods n Demons. Lord Vishnu who was fighting on behalf of Suras (Gods) requested her to leave the way n allow him to fight with those Demons. But Shukracharya's mother replied that she won't allow him to kill those Demons as she has promised to protect them. She asked Lord Vishnu to kill her before attacking those demons but Lord Vishnu denied attacking her as she was a woman. She decided to choose death voluntarily instead of leaving her promise unfulfilled. Accordingly she decided to end her life. When Rishi Brighu came to know about this he got angry n cursed Lord Vishnu that he'll have to suffer the pain of separation from his beloved wife in his Ram Avatar.

Sorry, didn't get this😕
Its said that after killing Bhrigu's wife (Khyati ?) he killed the demons and later after getting the curse from Bhrigu, Vishnu restored the life of Bhrigu rishi's wife. Meanwhile even Shukracharya vowed that he would never take the side of Devas since he thought that Vishnu ahd been unfair to his family , so he chose to be the guru of daityas.
