It was early morning and Rani was sitting in her room, restless. Yudi had told her he was coming to meet her, to talk about their sagai which was happening the next day, but she wasn?t restless because of this. It was her dadi?s birthday, and Rani wished that she could leave the mehel for just one day, to see how her dadi was and make dadi her favourite meal for her birthday, as she did every year.
She walked over to her dressing table, and sitting in front of it, picked up a photo of her Dadi. Looking down at it, tears came to her eyes😭, tears of worry for her dadi and of guilt, for not having visited or spoken to her in such a long time. Unbeknown to her, all this time UD was standing behind the drapes by her door, watching her intently, anxious to know what was making her cry.. 😕

UD, upon hearing his name, smiled. It was the first time Rani had dared to say his name aloud, and UD wished she would only do so more often.

UD?s voice sent shivers down Rani?s spine. She never thought that just saying 2 words could show just how somebody felt, yet she could feel the pain and frustration that UD was feeling. She stayed sitting, frozen by shock, only daring to look at UD through the mirror.

Hearing this, Rani smiles shyly, blushing furiously as she never realized he had heard. He moved closer towards her and stood behind her, looking at her through her mirror, his hands resting gently on her shoulder.

Rani looked at him, suprised, and before she could stop herself, she found herself refusing him. ?Nahi Kunwarji?😲

Rani, feeling guilty for having refused so quickly, tried to explain why she did so. She didn?t want the prince to think she didn?t want him there. In fact she couldn?t think of anything she would like more, but she needed to speak to her family alone, before introducing them to Yudi. ?Kunwarji, aisi koi baat nahi hai. Her eyes began to fill with tears again😭, thinking of her dadi?s illness. Yudi took hold of rani?s arm and sat her down on her bed, sat down beside her, and turned her face round to face his. With tears appearing in his own eyes, he began to wipe the tears from Rani?s eyes. Every tear she shed, was like a knife being plunged into his heart, every time she was sad, Yudi felt as if all the light in the world had disappeared and there was only darkness. He couldn?t bear to see her like this, and wanted to share her pain. ?Kya? Tho phir kis kaam ke liye bheja aap ko??
Rani looked over at him, and saw his reddened eyes. Her heart sank as she realized that her sadness was having such an effect on him. Putting a small mile on her face, she began to tell him how she became a naukrani. ?Woh kya hain, hum paatshala mein sabse hoshiar student(sorry..dnt know word!) thi, aur mere guruji ne baat ki the amma se. Yudi looked at her surprised. Choti Rani had always treated her like a servant. She had never mentioned once that Rani was here to study. Rani got up from the bed, and went to leave, when she felt her dupatta being pulled. She turned to see yudi cheekily keeping the end of her dupatta under his leg so she couldn?t move.😊 👏He smiled and got up, standing in front of her with his hands together.

Yudi smiled😃 and thought to himself how lucky he was to have someone so gentle, caring and beautiful in his life. ?Tho hum abhi aap ki jaane ke liye intazaam karte hai. Munna bhi aap ke saath chalega??
Rani nodded, looking up at Yudi.?Ji kunwarji?.. par isse manana bahut mushkil hoga. Woh to mehel chhod ne ke liye thayar nahin honge, magar isse jaana padega. Yahaa oonka khayal rakhne ne liye kaun hai??:😕
Yudi looked down at her lovingly, stroking her open hair. ?Main hoon na. woh humare saath kuch dino ke liye reh saktha hai. Humare room mein? Agar aap ko koi aitraaz nahin hai??
Rani looked up at him, and felt she could never love him more than she did at that moment. Yudi could see from her eyes she was trying to thank him, for caring for her and her family. ?Nahin ?humein koi aitraaz nahin hai?par oosko aana chahiye. Akhir aaj dadi ki janamdin hai?

Just then they heard someone approaching the room, and turned to see Munna running in?.
?DIDI!! DIDI!! AAJ TO DADI KA?.?
Munna was shocked to see them both together like this ?Kunwarji .. aap? Yaha??
Rani looked at his shocked😲 but smiling little face and began to explain ?Haan munna, Kunwarji tho humse baat karne aaye the kyunke hum gaaon vapas jaa rahe hain, dadi ke janamdin ke liye.?
Munna stormed over and sat on the bed, with his arms crossed, sulking. Rani was about to go and sit next to him, and explain when she felt Yudi?s hand on her shoulder. Without saying a word, Rani understood and watched the scene, whilst packing her things, with her heart beating like mad, as Yudi sat on the bed next to him and started whispering quietly with him, trying to convince him to go? After 5 minutes of talking, Rani watched Munnas eyes widen as Yudi spoke with him, his nod of approval and smiles as she saw Munna run to his books, take out a piece of paper and gave it to Yudi, who wrote something and put it in Munna?s pocket.😆
Confused, Rani tried to see what it was these two boys were doing secretly. But Yudi had explained to Munna not to let Rani find this letter with his instructions in it. Without Munna saying another word, Yudi got up and, holding Munna?s hand, moved towards the door.
He turned around to see Rani fixed to the spot, totally baffled. Grabbing onto the suitcase with his free hand, he gave Rani another one of his secretive smiles😊?..'Tho? Hum Chale??????😉
