See u cannot choose ur religion at birth but u r given that right later on....!!! As long as she doesnt insult any other religion, its okay..!!!

She hasnt abused any religion. Just because she was born as a hindu does not mean that she has to a hindu for life. Its her freedom to believe what she wants to, its her faith. Jus cos she has more faith in Jesus does not mean she doesnt respect hinduism. She didnt bad mouth about any religion, religion is a faith. Proselytism would have been wrong and an act of abuse, but what she did was innocent.

oh god..i dont know why people find some way to bash rakhi...she hasnt abused any religion...and she dint tell that she only believes in jesus...she has already told that she believes in ganpati bappa too..why people always take rakhi and what she says in a wrong way and then bash her????

Who are we to tell somebody which religion one should follow. Its entirely a matter of ones faith. If Rakhie believes in Jesus, let it be.

Well Dhara, I think it is okay for people to post their views, and we cannot censor them or say only pleasant things about Rakhi must be said, but there is a certain boundary which must not be crossed.

To everyone else posting that Rakhi abused Hinduism: fine, say what you will about what you think about the show, her, her clothes, her personality, whatever.. but don't start making things up, or don't slander another person.

Slander is defined in the dictionary as: Words falsely spoken that damage the reputation of another. Charge falsely or with malicious intent; attack the name and reputation of someone

Saying Rakhi "abused" Hinduism is a BIG charge, and that is slander, in my opinion. I think those who use Hinduism to unfairly malign others are much worse. I don't like when people treat Hinduism as if it is their personal property. Everyone has a right to interpret religion in the way they want, and as long as it is interpreted peacefully and with love for God in mind, you should have no problems. Now interpreting religion to be violent or slanderous.. that's wrong.

I think of that song in Swades with the line "man se ravan jo nikaale ram uske mann mein hai." It's a beautiful line. Ravan is in the mind of everyone just like Ram. You have to learn to look beyond the exterior.

For me, it's the double standard that's annoying. So if another actor or actress says something like this, nobody will make a controversy out of it. But with Rakhi, everyone feels as if they have a right to throw dirt on her. Why? Mainly because she is from an underprivileged and poor background, her English is weak, and she dances to sexy songs in Bollywood. That does not give you the right to treat someone like crap. Look inwards before saying these things about others.

very well said arti....she believes in Jesus that doesnt mean that she has no respect for hinduism....why do some people get so hyper on rakhi that too sooo fast????????.....and it is said that there is only one god but he has many names....and rakhi has whole right to believe in the god she wants to...but that doesnt mean she doesnt belong to the religion which is her origin.....people please grow up!!!!...and learn to take things in a positive way instead of getting hyper and finding some way to insult rakhi??...i am seeing nowadays..some people find small small things which rakhi said and make a huge fuss out of it...earlier it was about her accent and now her religion and belief.....really there is no difference in the media and these people who just want to show that rakhi is wrong!!!...people just want to insult rakhi because she comes from an uneducated and a lower-class family.....if some other celeb wud have said the same thing..i dont think people wud have made such a big issue out of it.....people..its not rakhi's fault that she belongs to a lower class family...so please think twice before writing these types of crap about rakhi!!!!.....
