As Asad went to attend to Maheen Zoya continued to go through his phone, she looked through his pictures, she was surprised to see so many of her, she guessed that some were taken in London and some in India.

As she continued to laugh at some of Zack and Annie Zoya suddenly stooped. With the breath she had just taken in stuck in her throat her eyes opened wide, she quickly flicked back to the last picture 'Ya Allah...me and Asad...what...' Zoya saw a picture of Asad with his arm around her kissing the side of her head. As she went on she saw more pictured of them holding and hugging one another and then she saw something that made her let out a gasp that made her heart stop beating altogether.

Zoya saw a picture of Asad on one knee, of him placing a ring on her finger 'no...this cant be right' Zoya quickly jumped out of the pool and ran down stairs. As she came running through the doors everyone turned around to see her panic ridden face. Asad came running to her side and held her arm 'Zoya...what happened...Zoya' Zoya looked up at him teary eyes, Asad quickly cupped the side of her face 'Zoya...please tell me, what happened?' unable to say anything the images she had just seen started to run rings around her, at that precise moment she felt a sharp pain at the back of her head.

'Zoya...Zoya' Asad shouted out as he saw her close her eyes and wince in pain, but it was too late Zoya had passed out.

'Zack...Annie, call the doctor now' Asad lifted her up and took her to his room 'Kaki, please get me some water' Maheen and Nasima sat on either side of her 'Asad, what happened...I don't know...she was fine, you saw...we were sitting and talking...I don't get it'

'Bhaijaan' Zack called out running in 'the doctor is on his way...he will be here in a few moments...do you think we should have taken her back to the hospital?' 'I don't know...I can't think...' He said holding his head in his hands 'It's ok Asad...let's just wait to see what the doctor says'.

Asad paced the room keeping his fixated on her whilst they all waited for the doctor to come, as soon as the he heard the lift ring her ran out. Zack was walking the doctor towards his room doctor please hurry'.

Everyone left the room leaving Asad with the doctor and Zoya 'can you tell me what happened?' 'I am not sure, she was fine one minute, I only left her for a moment...she came running downstairs, she looked scared, shocked almost and then...then she passed out'

The doctor checked her over 'I will need you to bring her in, I can't really do much apart from prescribe her further medication, I will book her in for a scan...if she wakes up and complains of headaches please make her take two of these tablets. When is her session with the psychiatrists...I am sure she is due one?' 'Not until next week...can I bring her in tomorrow, for the scan' 'I will call you first thing to confirm time' 'thank you doctor...how long will it be before she comes round' 'not long'.

Asad walked the doctor outside 'Zack, can you see him downstairs?' 'Sure Bhaijaan' 'Asad, what did he say?' 'Not much, he will book her in for a scan tomorrow and has given some extra pills in case she suffers any headaches'

'Bhaijaan, you sleep in her room, I don't think you should move her now' 'I will do...its late I will stay up for a little longer just in case she wakes up' 'Baba, I will sleep with her you go and rest...you have been working nonstop' Asad gave her a faint smile 'thank you Kaki'.

Having sat with her for an hour Kaki finally managed to kick him out 'I promise the moment she wakes up I will call you...now go'.

Zoya started to stir in her sleep, she let out a moan as she held her head that was throbbing, as soon as she opened her eyes she shot up 'Asad' she called out. Looking around her she started to panic 'where...' just then she saw Kaki sleeping next to her and instantly she started to calm down.

Putting on the table lamp she got out of bed, she was about to open the door when she saw a number of photo frames on the cabinet. As she walked closer to them she began to identify the people in the pictures.

Zoya picked up a couple of photo frames that had beautifully captured pictured of Asad and her mounted on in them. Still unable to understand anything she started to cry, she felt her heart pick up pace and a sharp pain travel along the side of her head 'Ya Allah...please help me'.

As Zoya put down the frame she felt a hand on her shoulder, which made her jump, it was Kaki. Kaki stepped forward and wiped her tears with her fingers 'Kaki...these pictures...what do they mean...what I saw last night...on his phone...am I only his best friend...please tell me' Zoya completely broke down.

Not understanding any of her muffled sobs Kaki trying to comfort her, and at the same time she called out for Asad. Asad came running up in hearing Kaki's voice 'Kaki...Zoya what happened?' he called out 'Baba, give me the medication the doctor left'. As Asad grabbed the pills and glass of water the rest of them had come in 'Kaki, please bring Zoya to the bed' Maheen said.

With the help of Annie and Zack Kaki helped Zoya to the bed 'here, take these' Asad said holding her medicine out in front of her. Zoya looked up at him, she felt every inch of her constrict, she couldn't bring herself to move. Asad knelt down before her, holding the pills in between his fingers he held them to her lips 'open Zoya...if you don't take these the headaches will only get worse...please' Zoya opened her mouth slightly and let him put the pills in her mouth, he then lifted the glass and let her take a few sips to swallow them.

'Zoya let me take you to your room, come' Annie said placing her hand around her shoulder. As Zoya stood up Asad took a step back to give her some space, she looked directly at him and noticed how he avoided eye contact.

With Annie pulling her Zoya turned around and walked back to her room. As she reached the door she heard Maheen address him 'don't worry beta, she will be ok...have faith' 'it's all I have Ammi, it's all I have'.

As Annie sat her down she gave her a faint smile 'is there anything I can get you?' Zoya shook her head 'no thank you...actually...Annie...my things, from London...did you get them back?' Annie looked at her not quite understanding 'what things Zoya?' 'My belongings' 'oh...of course, sorry...yes, we asked Rahul and Huma to cargo them over, they should reach us within a few days' 'thank you...one more thing...did I have a phone, laptop or anything like that?' 'Yes you did, your laptop is in London, it should be coming and your phone...ummm I think it might be in your suitcase, the one we brought back from Mumbai' Annie looked at her as she just starred ahead 'Zoya, what is wrong?' 'Nothing...I was just...I think I should get some sleep, good night'.

Annie walked out extremely confused 'is she ok?' Annie looked up towards Zack 'I am not sure, she seems a little dazed, she was asking me about her belongings...I don't know, I think she will feel better in the morning'

Zoya didn't go back to sleep, she rummaged through her suitcase until she found her mobile phone, taking out the lead she plugged in the charger and switched it on.

Zoya's hands started to tremble as her finger hovered over the messaged icon. She needed to know that it wasn't just her imagination gone crazy, she needed to know how much truth there was to what she saw if any.

Pressing the icon she went through her messages. Zoya felt everything around her shake, she held on to her stomach as she muffled her screams.

She read message after message, saw picture after picture that confirmed and reconfirmed that Asad wasn't just her best friend but someone that she was supposed to be in love with. She held her head in between her hands and rocked violently trying to remember anything but there was nothing.

'Ya Allah, why are you doing this to me...please help me' she pleaded in her broken voice. As she sat there every moment since the moment she woke up ran through her head, his every reaction to her, the way he looked at her, cared for her, everything stood out that much more.

'What am I going to do now...how will I face him, what will I say to him?' endless questions clouded her mind as she tried to understand what to do but nothing made sense.
