yep, Adaq khan already has his Huzoor's permission to organize such gatherings. he acts as a steward too. He knows, Mahira is feeling totally lonely here...she needed support from other courtiers.

The Durbar hall reminded me of the hall from Jodha Akbar.

Haan now u remind me of that hall, I also can see the similarities. But I originally took inspiration from Robin hood (movie).

The fact that Mahira didn't bring along enough clothes speaks of her desperation to get away from the monster.Liked the way you used the comparison between her & Begum to describe her features. Remarks on one's physical attribute are very hurtful.Even though the one who said those comments was a bitch, still it would tear apart one's confidence down.Liked this strong Mahira who has vowed not to bring anything down.

yes, commenting about someone's features, complexion etc is v hurtful and show the shallow mindedness of the speaker.

And yaha toh, she was a total jealous and evil woman, deliberately insulting her to break her spirit.

Ok,,this Latif character...do u remember Kabir's brother in Rep, Rajveer? That guy comes to mind when I read Latif's part. Very tall, does not talk too much and yet has the necessary softness & kindness.

yess, Kabir's brother can be a good cast Amy. I like how you find right persons to play these character. like u casted zoya's dad as Adaq. I tho see that actor only when i write about him.

Ahahahahaha..Mir Baksh teasing Mahira was a delight to read!! The cheeky guy..So he hasn't also not failed to notice that there is something in Mahira that has garnered the attention of Azaad miya. Poor Mahira completely failing to comprehend the exchange between Latif & Mir Baksh!!

Going by the glimpses of Begum in the previous chapters, she seems very cold & ruthless. A kid suddenly loses everything..his dad & his mom after the fire..with no warmth whatsoever in his life. Wounds run deep...Is the Begum his real mom? During that time, wasn't it normal to have many wives? Did the others perish in the fire?

yes, she was Naseer's chief begum and Azad's biological mother. now something changed her after the fire. She became a complete different entity, unrecognizable to her husband and son. And Naseer committed suicide after few months. Why ? letz see why !

Other wives...ermm dont know. And yes although polygamy was the natural thing then...I am not complicating the plot bringing references of co-wives. Letz guess they didnt exist 😆
