I really want Mahira to discover something in that library that can help Azaad. Whether it's with the war or lifting whatever curse has befallen him. Poor fellow had no tutor since he was 10. Gosh can you imagine an afraid lost and lonely little boy roaming the vacant halls of the fort, wondering where everyone is gone? Add to that he would've been newly under the curse, not understanding what is happening to him.💔

haww ! u didn't realise ?? no way !

arre library mein. Azad miyan was stalking our girl remember ?? and mahira took off her dupatta because she thought she was alone, she used it a makeshift rug and sat upon it. so her arms, neck , upperchest were bare, and the bruises were prominent even from a little distance.

oh shoot!! How stupid of me lol I forgot about her bruises at that time, all I was thinking about was how Azaad was probably ogling at her😆 So our Azaad was disturbed when he saw those bruises that he even told Adaq Khan to find out how she got bruised. He's such a sweetheart. *melts for the second time*

yeh our banda is such a sweetheart and innocent kid, that in his obsessive concern for Mahira he actually revealed to Adaq khan he was ogling her and saw her in an ermm inappropriate halath. I am sure Adaq khan rofl ed inside. His sarkar huzoor has lost his screws officially.
And do you know why wearing chunari / veils were compulsory those days especially for ladies of noble household ? the poor people couldnot afford silks and muslins so they wore dresses of thick coarse materials, like rough cotton or processed animal skin, those things were not transparent at all.
but the rich aristocratic women used to wear dresses of finer muslins and silks, the cloth wwere said to be finer than a glosammer wing, or spider's web or morning dew. u understand the implication right ? although worn in layers, the dresses were body hugging and absolute see through. only the veils were made of heavier brocade and gold zaris with zardousi embroideries, they use to cover the modesty of the women, they used to be yards long and were being draped properly. now imagine if u take off that dupatta what will happen !😆😉
when Mahira was in that yard with Adaq khan , she did not actually take it off, she took it sidelong and wounded around her waist the long end. but still thay way u can see neck, arms upperchest, but when she was in the library alone she ekdum took it off and sat upon it ! haha ! Azad banda had real torturous voyeur session😆

Thanks for the pm. Another amazing update. The story is getting more interesting day by day.
Even Mir has guessed that Azaad has some feelings for Mahira and hence placed the bet. Poor man he has won the bet but doesn't even know about that. At least he had lost the bet, but Azaad has completely lost himself.
He even said good night to her. So sweet.
To be frank, I love Adaq more than Azaad and he interactions with Mahira are very good. In his conversation with Mahira he was mentioning " us ". Is it just him and Azaad or even Mir and Latiff included? So they have found that she is running from someone.
First gift that too he had written her versus in his handwriting. He has memorized the words thst quickly. Poor boy, so much in love.
Amaad the flirt. Can I push him off a cliff or will be a tool in bringing Azma closer?
Is the maid referred in the book is Mahira?
You are an amazing writer and I like even reading your replies for the comments given. Good job.

I really love the father-daughter relationship Adaq and Mahira have. The man seems like a real darling who won't think twice about unleashing his vicious streak to protect Mahira. Papa bear is already prepared to claw the face off anyone (Latif) making flirtatious advances towards her.😆 If only he'd extend that courtesy to Amaad.

Latif and Mir Baksh teasing her and Mahira not realizing their double entendres.. Poor dear.. They're making bets too.. Makes me wonder if they've noticed their huzoors preoccupation with the lovely scholar too?😳

Mahira and Azaad

Mahira seems so relieved now that she's at the fort, that she's free and finally safe. Her little indulgence of singing as she twirled around totally made me smile.😃

Couldn't keep to the shadows for long, could you Azaad miyaan? I can totally imagine him observing her and smiling unconsciously while she reveled in her "Azaadi". Lord knows when was the last time he felt so light. I think that is one of the reasons he is so drawn to her. Her spirit is filled with so much joy. That and also the fact that she has no shortage of sass😆. It also probably doesn't hurt that she had lush curves too.

HAWT HAWT HAWT. The way you described their night time rendezvous.☺️ Both completely mesmerized with each other. He was even teasing her!😳

And this: What she didnt see, were the said Jaigirdar's eyes, glazed, seeing her doing that innocently erotic gesture. This woman was determined to drive him mad.

Now I'm thinking back to the library wala scene and wondering what an eyeful Azaad must have gotten☺️ So he did notice her bruises? I hope Adaq goes and reports to him on who exactly gave them to her (Zaroon!😡)

He's given her a present!! What a sweet heart!

And Mahira isn't immune to having a couple of fantasies of her own? About his strong arms, his lips and his enchanting eyes Aaag dono taraf lag chuki hai! Haye😳

The family records held private journals repeatedly signed by three names - Gaffur, Rashid and Naseer.

The names here caught my eye. Maybe she can discover a little account of how Lord Asad fell in love with his lovely Zoya😳

Prophesy added to the tale! I'm sure it's a reference to Mahira. I can't wait to find out more about this curse!

Uff! This banda is putting her in such a tough position. I hope Azaad can straighten him out soon. And a village fare? The villagers will probably be able to see that Mahira is alive and well. Perhaps we can have a little cameo from Azaad at the fair, surprising the villagers?😳

Another beautiful update. I love the tactic you used to describe Mahiras figure. Since story is from Mahiras POV, Azad Miyan can stare all he want, but wont be able to describe it for readers benefit. So you had to make Mahira herself do the honours and you did 😆. I love how you use the dialogues to convey the feel of that era in a subtle manner. You could have wrote that she had a well endowed body and that would have been alright too. But writing that she had the body of a courtesan and not a simple mans wife just reinforces the fact that we are talking of a bygone time and also cleverly expresses the thinking of the society in those times. So very good job there.

So AzMa meet finally, and how! I have noticed that whenever AzMa have met whether knowingly or unknowingly, were also the moments when Mahira had her guard down or let free of her inhibitions. First time they met in garden, and Mahiras tongue developed a mind of its own, then when he came to Ladies section, Mahira was putting some very pertinent questions to Adaq Khan, then the visit in library where Mahira had her guard as well as dupatta down😆 and now this when Mahira is singing and twirling around!! I dont know if its a coincidence or Azads presence somehow allows Mahira to be her true self. Coming back to this scene... Azad catches Mahira singing and also teases her indirectly even though its quite visible that she is mighty embarassed. Bad manners, Mr Khan, but I approve😛.The eye lock was well described. I think Mahira got more than even by that tongue biting, even though she had no idea that her innocent gesture might have disastrous consequences for Azad Miyan. No wonder he was so gruff in his reply of joining her in library. But Mahira Madam took it otherwise and curtly dismissed him. Superlike😆

So Adaq Khan saw the bruises and is mad at the one who inflicted it on her...I am glad that she told the truth about her forced engagement to Adaq Khan, would save her some trouble in future or so I hope. I have said it before too and saying it again that I love the bond between Mahira and Adaq Khan. So much warmth and care these two share. Its very special and please maintain it against all odds :) Even I was confused about when Azad saw Mahis bruises. Just read your response to another reader and got the details of how he saw it through his voyeur session😆

Is Mahira a handwriting snob? I thinks so and I love it. Moi too share this trait with Mahira 😛. But she loves Azads writing despite it being untidy and atrocious...Awww...If this is not love, what is ?😛So she gets Azads gift and is off to dream land but her stay is brief. I love that line about Azad being like a luxuriant script which needed a lot of patience and skill to be unravelled. Again you linked the comparison to Mahiras job in a subtle way making it all the more relatable.

And this virtuous maiden with flawless soul that would sacrifice her life willingly to end generations of misery...Its Mahira na... I know its her only. Khair that is in future so I wont worry too much about it. Amaad Miyan toh current day Amaad Miyan se bhi fast nikle... Flower and invitation to fair, all in one smooth stroke. Poor Mahira is going to have tough time handling him if he continues to bestow his attentions so freely on her. She cant say no directly as he is a noble and yet she cant encourage him by consenting to everything he says.

And whats with this completely unneeded apology? You are doing a fantastic job with this FF yaar. Every update is so detailed and interesting. Dont you get it by the length of responses we type? Sometimes I myself get embarrased by how long my responses turn out😆 But then this is the first FF ever which I am following and commenting on so regularly, and I have something to say on every part of update, so bear with me😳

Now u hav asked who is Allauddin Shah. I am giving up a brief idea,Ok? This story is set in Mughal period. Before mughals India was ruled by the turkish-afgan clans. in historical terms that timeperiod is called Sultanate period of Delhi. ok ? The house of Saiyad and Lodi s were the sultanate rulers immediate before the mughal dynasty.

Allauddin Shah was the ruler of India during azad's forefather time.he was the last ruler of saiyad dynasty. He abdicated the throne in favor of his visir. the visir (minister) was evil. so he lamented dark days are here.

no, Azad didnot crumple the paper because the verses were ill-written. it actually did its work, touching the chords of his heart which he kept heavily guarded. Same as the show,dear. he believes he is cursed. and mahira will die if she tries to come closer to him.Thatz why he did not want to get her hopes high. Moreover, there was something else too. He felt so miserable for his shortcomings , the reason he could never come close to her, that in his frustrated agony he balled his hand into an iron fist. the paper was in his palm then.so it got violently crushed unintentionally.later when he realised what he had done, he just dropped it and left the room. and Azad never imagined she would find that parchment .

Note: U know what..this isnt my fav chap anymore..Chap 7 is!!! I just had a quick glance at it..Pheww...bahut lambi update hain..Had to stop in between..That requires more concentration if I hav to review!! Be prepared for a whole lot of ooohh,aaah, awww, hayyyeees
