Good post. I have yet to watch any of these episodes. Still almost 2 weeks behind. But still I know what you are saying. My problem with all this was always how Sanam is effected by all this! I felt bad that Sanam who was always such an independent girl, was reduced to the level of thinking of herself ONLY as someone's wife! It was SO not her, from the moment she started to mindlessly dance at Shaad's wedding without a second thought to her mental trauma. All we are still seeing is an extension of that!
The writers should start caring for their characters, really. As much as they like their vamps.
What they have done to Sanam is unforgivable.
I mean, what can SJ do if the writers have written Jannat like this?
The problem is that the only thing she thinks she knows about herself is a LIE! This Shaad ki Biwi thing is the biggest lie of her life and she considers it the biggest truth. She thinks she is trying to maintain this relationship in good faith, and show as much faithfulness as she can muster. The problem for her is that it's not coming naturally. She herself does not understand the reason for the un-ease. She must think it's coz of memory loss that she feels this disconnect from Shaad. She cares for him of course and "loves" him even as we would someone we become close to. But she herself has acknowledged that it is not the "Mohobaat" that changes your life. So she knows she is not "In love". THAT is the word. She knows she cares for Shaad, and she call it "love" as she believes she should love him, as he is her husband. She thinks she is committed to him. But she also knows she is not "In love" with him. Because somewhere in that fogged brain of her's, she KNOWS what being "In love" felt like. Because she has been in love before. So she compares that vague memory to the way she feels now and she knows it does NOT compare!
You said it perfectly !
She thinks she should love her husband, who she identifies as Shaad. She doesn't feel it as earth shattering or life changing, but she clings on to it as he has saved her so many times and she feels she owes it to him to try hard.
I love what you said about "should love' and "in love with". Big difference there.
I hope they don't drag this out too long... not everyone can remind themselves of her plight when she keeps yelling at Aahil ...
We all know Sanam has always been her worst critic. Let's hope she does not hate herself for not realizing that she was barking up the wrong tree for so long. But you have to remember this is NOT her fault. She was lied to in the worst possible way. Her trust was betrayed in the worst way! Her mental state is getting more and more messed up. What she needs is a psychiatrist at the end of all this. Because her head has been messed with so much. Also, the GALL of Shaad to think that writing her a lame letter after lying to her for SO long will be "Acceptable?". How insulting? He should have looked her in the EYE and told her the truth. THEN he can act in this entitled and pompous way he is acting now! How dare he make her feel guilty after what HE did? Makes me even more angry with this man who does Herogiri with a terrorist, but does not have the guts to look this women he has lied to in the eyes, and tell her he is NOT her husband and never was!
Exactly ! None of this was her fault ..
Which is why I was so disgusted, nauseated and revolted, repulsed, sickened (Yeah, brought out the thesaurus there😆) when Sanam2 took that meagre excuse of a confession letter and destroyed it !! ARGhhh!!! I hate that woman!
Because now it becomes Sanam2's fault, not Shaad's because he thinks he has confessed. Ugh. Yuck.
The sooner Sanam gets away from him the better! Can't happen fast enough! His presence in her life is toxic for her now. The GUILT she feels for not feeling as she feels she SHOULD for him, is messing with her mental health even more than before. This is NOT good!
Which is why it's good that Shaad is distracted with Sir Juda and SK. Leaving Jannat in Aahil's hands.
But why did they have to bring back S2's magic? 🤢
