Not writing my usual episode review today... too much Vamp scheming for my liking...

But one thing struck me.. How will Sanam/Jannat come back from this?

She has gone too far down this path with Shaad, its disturbing.

Today, she watched Shaad (as he ruminated over SK, of course) allowing the guilt to overtake her sense of self awareness, of herself.

She has no identity of her own. She has linked her life with Shaad so much.
She has no solid feet on the ground without him. It's worrying really.

All she thinks of is Shaad... Shaad .. Shaad...

Shaad this... Shaad that...
It's not even loving. It's strongly infused with guilt, that it's not pleasant to watch.
to see a woman, our Sanam, stuck so far down wrong the wrong road is awful.

She wore a dress , that apparently Aahil gave her, (through his second wife) that she was not comfortable wearing. And her so -called husband didn't even spare a look of a thought on her parishaani...

And few doors away, Aahil thinks only of her.
And he doesn't deserve this, really.

Even at his meanest, he didn't forsake his love for her this much.

He reacted like an injured bear when she left him at their nikah. Mean, angry and spiteful.
But everytime he saw her fall, he would catch her, make sure she was okay. His love for her would still break through in concern for her.

All Jannat thinks of is Shaad... Shaad... Shaad.

I worry about Sanam, when she returns, will she be able to take it that she had gone so far down this wrong road? Asking her "fake husband" to sleep in bed with her... Making another man her whole life for a time?

Sigh...

You know the truth is, in reality married couples who have not yet moved forward to sleeping together, most often they still share the same bed.

I was just thinking this two days back. How so much emphasis was put on her telling him to sleep on the bed, when really him sleeping separately, even though they are not having sex, is just a way to try to make the situation seem better.

I mean some of us have always maintained it's not about sex or sleeping in the same bed. But still, I realize now (though I think I've always known it) that it really wouldn't matter of she they slept on the same bed. It's just something given as a "bone" do they and even fans can say, "see they are not sleeping on the same bed. It's okay. Nothing has happened."

Exactly! This is what I was thinking all day. I was rolling my eyes by all the Vamps! Oh, please.. Get over it already.. Again, I am so tired of their negative ideas.

Jannat is so lost in Shaad.. Not even for a second is she thinking about herself.. It's all about what her neek like shouhar will think. She cannot think about anything or anyone. But really, all Shaad is doing lately is demanding silly things from her (cake, suit) and ignoring Jannat (her dress).

I am failing to understand how this would play out.
Today he didn't even spare to take a look at her. Not just one glance. She was so uncomfortable and I kind of felt bad for her.

Oh Sanam.. How are you going to survive all this? What will happen once your memory returns?

Let us have the big showdown between Aahil and Shaad. Let us know what the two men think and what they'll do to get Jannat/Sanam.

Show us some action! It's time to unleash the hidden fury, Aahil Raza Ibrahim. Only that way Shaad will react n show his real face to the audince..

Hey Ani,

Good post. I have yet to watch any of these episodes. Still almost 2 weeks behind. But still I know what you are saying. My problem with all this was always how Sanam is effected by all this! I felt bad that Sanam who was always such an independent girl, was reduced to the level of thinking of herself ONLY as someone's wife! It was SO not her, from the moment she started to mindlessly dance at Shaad's wedding without a second thought to her mental trauma. All we are still seeing is an extension of that!

The problem is that the only thing she thinks she knows about herself is a LIE! This Shaad ki Biwi thing is the biggest lie of her life and she considers it the biggest truth. She thinks she is trying to maintain this relationship in good faith, and show as much faithfulness as she can muster. The problem for her is that it's not coming naturally. She herself does not understand the reason for the un-ease. She must think it's coz of memory loss that she feels this disconnect from Shaad. She cares for him of course and "loves" him even as we would someone we become close to. But she herself has acknowledged that it is not the "Mohobaat" that changes your life. So she knows she is not "In love". THAT is the word. She knows she cares for Shaad, and she call it "love" as she believes she should love him, as he is her husband. She thinks she is committed to him. But she also knows she is not "In love" with him. Because somewhere in that fogged brain of her's, she KNOWS what being "In love" felt like. Because she has been in love before. So she compares that vague memory to the way she feels now and she knows it does NOT compare!

We all know Sanam has always been her worst critic. Let's hope she does not hate herself for not realizing that she was barking up the wrong tree for so long. But you have to remember this is NOT her fault. She was lied to in the worst possible way. Her trust was betrayed in the worst way! Her mental state is getting more and more messed up. What she needs is a psychiatrist at the end of all this. Because her head has been messed with so much. Also, the GALL of Shaad to think that writing her a lame letter after lying to her for SO long will be "Acceptable?". How insulting? He should have looked her in the EYE and told her the truth. THEN he can act in this entitled and pompous way he is acting now! How dare he make her feel guilty after what HE did? Makes me even more angry with this man who does Herogiri with a terrorist, but does not have the guts to look this women he has lied to in the eyes, and tell her he is NOT her husband and never was!

The sooner Sanam gets away from him the better! Can't happen fast enough! His presence in her life is toxic for her now. The GUILT she feels for not feeling as she feels she SHOULD for him, is messing with her mental health even more than before. This is NOT good!

I do not get it when this will end..and by the time it ends, when Sanam comes back, how is she going to tackle this whole Shaad fake marriage thing.. Anyway about the episode, I am so sick and tired of this OTT sanam2 and Shashi kapoor, can we get something new? what;s with same old Shitty tricks.. Anyway I just want my Jallad Jin back.. I want my Sahil back, although I am not sure if its too late now..😕

She will like other characters did before her
Asad after his slap
gaffur after his cowardness
Aahil after his rude behavior
Seher after the switch

So I guess Gul & co knows how to bring back character to be appreciated by the viewers

But for sure knowing Sanam's mentality and personality, she will be hurt. Her obsession was just a way to shut up her inner voice, the Sanam inside of her trying to wake up. The only thing that she remember was him and her world turned around Shaad, so for sure, she will be obsessed by the only thing that gave her an identity. Remember in the first episode of QH3, she was walking lost tryin to find food and to find herself and Shaad came as a savior.
It's just Stockholm syndrome, ( wikipedia definition : or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors). For us, he is her captor but for her he is her world. All will finish the day she will realize that she had an identity, a family and a husband.
Ouch !!!! Shaad is going to be hurt in turn.

Those days, I really appreciate Aahil's characters, many said that he was weak but I can guarantee that hiding the truth for her, accepting all her tantrums and anger without even blasting at her, he had to be really strong in his head to face all of this. Aahil has really grow up as a man and I am really surprised.
Everything was not perfect with him but still, he is still good.

Very thoughtful post, and more in depth than what this show is capable of exploring now.

I hate to be cynical about this, but I expect them to be moving on after a couple of episodes dealing with the fallout of her memory return/truth coming out.

The writers/CVs don't have the guts to actually deal with the mess they have created. From the way they've treated this track up until now, I expect to see no repercussions and no trauma suffered by Sanam or Aahil. I still can't believe that they have Aahil "allowing" (yes, I hate that word, too) his wife to sleep in a room with a strange man, without any effort to separate them over some trumped up reason! No one sane does that . . . not because of jealousy but because of the danger his wife would be in. What if Shaad decides to give in and ends up violating her?

In reality . . . okay in the fiction world, if we were being true to the characters we had gotten to know way back in the beginning . .. that Sanam would be disgusted with herself. Heartbroken for hurting the man she loved . . . and raining fire on the man who deceived her so thoroughly. Recovery would take a long, long time.

Your post reminded me of Aahil's monologue from yesterday's episode...(copied from your post)

Aahil himself says, - "In the fight between her Mind and her Heart, if the mind wins, she would lose everything. Sanam is stubborn, I must get to her before she declares her love for a man she doesn't love. Only I live in her heart..."

He looks up towards heavens... Only me...

Now her mind is filled with shad's continuous lies and also guilt. You know, when she was lecturing about her satipavitra dialogues to Aahil, I was thinking if she comes to know that Aahil is her husband, is it easy for her go to back to Aahil? Jannat does not remember anything about her past life. What she remembers is the days she spent with Shaad.

This is going to be a fight between her mind and her heart. Aahil has to win her heart that should overpower her mind. Right now, Jannat is attracted to Aahil, but she should know more about real Aahil. When her heart starts overpowering her mind, she will come out from Shaad's Jaap.

Another situation is that she gets to know how much Shaad lied to her for his selfish love. Then she will automatically come out of Shaad's Jaap. LOL!!

Yes, after the memory return/knowing the truth, she will feel guilty when she starts to think about the days she spent with Shaad. Remember, how Sanam handled Aahil when he came know about Sanam's innocence after Tanveer's death...I am thinking, Aahil will do the same and make her not go into the guilt mode.

Whatever is the case, with or without memory loss, Aahil's love has to free Jannat from this mess.

Awesome post, Sage!

Ironically, this was what Aahil insisted on early in their marriage, to keep the pretense of being happily married to others. Although we saw how separate they were on that bed, it was a pretense for those outside. We knew back then that Aahil had a huge crush on Sanam, and Sanam thought he hated her, so he wouldn't touch her at all. For her it was, he's her husband legally, and their relationship was platonic.

Slowly, they became closer and their dynamics changed from sleeping facing opposite sides, to facing each other and talking in bed. It was rooted in the fact that Sanam knew the situation.

Aahil was a gentleman, and she knew that. She knew he would not take advantage of her. Both of them were tentative in dealing with each other. Their bedroom scenes were very sensitive and aptly done.

Here, I assumed it was the lack of memory in Jannat that has stopped her from allowing Shaad to sleep in the bed with her. She didn't know him, and Shaad knew the reason why he himself didn't insist. "Gentlemanly" supposedly.

It was never about sex, KK. For a lot of people, one's spouse feeling love and obsession for another man/woman is akin to cheating , the "emotional" infidelity in the spouse is a little more difficult to forgive than a physical one, that may be driven by lust.

But that is difficult to reconcile here, because Jannat doesn't know anything.

It makes me think, that when Sanam's memory returns, (the writing would show that) she'll forget Shaad completely. Because the guilt would be too much to bear.

I was just thinking this two days back. How so much emphasis was put on her telling him to sleep on the bed, when really him sleeping separately, even though they are not having sex, is just a way to try to make the situation seem better.

The same way Aahil insisted she sleep in his bed to keep appearances when they got married. They were far from cordial, but she just went along.

😆I thought maybe it was so that (the audience and) Aahil can know for sure that nothing was happening there for sure...
