I've been trying to keep away from forcing my comments on your posts since you got a little peeved with me when I was zealously defending Ahil at the latter weeks of Q2.
I still feel quite sorry that I managed to get you so offended considering how patient you are at this forum...Anyways...after reading all the comments here I realized one thing. I think there is small divide in how some of us Sahilians view the situation with Shaad and Jannat from the very beginning and it has still remained so...For some of us like me, what ever Shaad's other actions are, his actions with regards to Jannat has been that of a negative character.Him being touchy feely with her while duping her into believing he is her husband is one such action...An average person or even a grey character would be shown to resist and try and be less touchy and keep a distance with her even if he fell in love with her because he knows that it is not consented by her and thus would feel like he is molesting her in this case.Shaad does not show any guilt or reservations about doing this to her at all.Him closing the missing persons file was a calculated decision to keep her from getting back to her family and her identity so he can live the lie with her...Here again no show of guilt or feeling conflicted about what he is doing to her about taking away her rights is show by Shaad. Infact he is very happy in the narrow world her had created for her which just includes him and the present with no identity or family of her own.Feeding her more lies and discounting her FBs and dejavu feelings are adding stress to her mental health so much that even he himself acknowledges that remembering her past is distressing her. What is not acknowledged is how instrumental he is in keeping her in this traumatic state and instead is just giving her medication for the surface symptoms...KK, Minnie, Juhi, Mandy, Michy, Simmy, Me and a few others see these actions as dangerous and inhuman towards a human being.Yes he is providing her with food, shelter, clothing and medication and even companionship, but to the extent that it serves his purpose and need to keep her with him and nothing beyond that...Now Ahil has figured out that Shaad is lying to her about her marriage to him, so he an clearly see Shaads actions with regards to her mental stress and his lies and Ahil can also see Shaad touching and living together with her in a compromising and violative situation for a girl to be in.Given how we see these actions of Shaad, as harmful and exploitative we expect Ahil as the only one aware of the situation of Sanam right now, to show urgency and clear perspective in dealing with it. So we are dissapointed and cannot relate to this Ahil.I can see that for some of you guys Shaads actions is more seen with respect to commiting a mistake out of his love for her and being a little selfish about it in the process, but is not seen as exploiting Jannat in the process. I gues you guys find the PDA by Shaad unsettling because Sanam is a married woman and not simply because she is a woman being forcibly placed in a compromising touchy feely situation with a random stranger without a choice. If I look at this divide I guess Gul and the team has not done too bad with regards to convincing the audience about Shaad and his character and infact has succeeded in down playing the issue of a woman being conned into living with a man away from family and her true identity as his wife as not so grave an issue...Or maybe few of us who see this as such a grave and huge issue, are taking things too seriously and being too sensitive about it..But one thing I am absolutely sure about is, in real world any women we see in this situation would be seen as a victim of kidnapping and exploitation and he will be treated like a criminal by the society.
