I understand... I wasn't saying that Sanam would want or prefer a new clean slate in her life.

If Sanam knew she'd run back to Aahil in a heartbeat.

Question here is what Aahil thinks. Remember the night Tanveer died?
How he thought he wasn't worthy of forgiveness? And worried that he didn't deserve the huge gift of love Sanam gave him unreservedly.

And Sanam put his worries to rest and showed him all of her love. That was their consummation night. Theirs isn't a light hearted love story.

I worry if Aahil sees that she can't remember him, and that she looks so carefree and happy with Shaad, that HE might be the one to walk away...

😭

@ Bold. Sage, if Aahil chose to do this, it will only be a testament to the "Purity" of his love! See true love does not "imprison" and "Bind" people. Especially not with lies and deception, misrepresenting one's importance in someone's life. True love sets free! Because if the person belongs to YOU, they will come back to you!

The old famous saying... "If you love something, set it free...if it comes back to you...it is yours! If it doesn't it was never meant to be!"

That saying was not made as some meaningless saying, but a true FACT of life! Since Aahil's love is true, it will only want the happiness of his beloved! Even if it means, it's not with him! THAT is true love. Shaad doesn't love Sanam at all, because if he did, he would not be able to deceive her the way he is doing with NO guilt! So I don't accept he "loves" her. He is just obsessed with this figment of his own imagination called "Jannat" who doesn't actually exist! Most people would not do the things he has done, because most people have a conscience and respect for other people and their choices! Shaad does not respect this girl one jot, as he thinks of her as an "object" not a person! That is why he thinks it's fine to fool her into living with him, without finding out who she really is! A person who "loves" someone truly would NEVER do such an injustice to them! Those are the facts!

So White for Shaad does not signify any sort of purity, because he is not even remotely pure or even sincere! Maybe the white he is wearing signifies the "Mask" some people wear to appear "good" when inside they have very nefarious intentions!

White for Sanam signifies like you said a "Blank slate!". She is not guilty of any crime or any sin. All she did was meet with an accident and lose her memory. Since then, she has been lied to and used, and her current confused and lost state is all part of that! I also agree with someone here who said, the White also signifies the possible questions that will be raised about her character and her so called "purity" when it comes out that she lived for months with a man she had no relationship to. In those cases, it is usually the women who ends up paying the price, not the man who was lying in the first place. Fact is, even when a women is assaulted, people try to blame HER for it, and say she must have done something to bring this on herself! THAT is the sort of society we live in. Not just in the East, but as a Westerner I can say, sometimes the victim gets blamed, even here! Sometimes the question is sort of implied like "What did SHE do?" So it is no different in this case. The same will apply. She will be questioned!

This is where Aahil comes in, and it will be HIS job to intervene and say he trusts his wife, and he will not let someone abusing her trust be used against her, as it is not her fault! I also dont agree her life with Aahil was all about struggle! Yes there was struggle because his Mother was Tanveer. So it was a given it would be! Tanveer murdered Sanam's parents! Nothing good was ever going to come of that equation. Then when Seher took Sanam's place, their relationship went through the worst phase, and that is when Sanam2 was introduced to the fold. So the twin swap was the beginning of all the "Serious" trouble that SAHIL faced. They overcame ALL that, and the twins stood together and so did SAHIL. They lost Rehan, but they all had each other. But in the end, even that happiness was snatched from them! Today, Sanam, Aahil and somewhere Seher will be frightening to get their lives back!

Sanam doesn't know it, but inside something is missing. That is all she knows! That something is her TRUE self, her true love, and her true connections. (her sister, cousin and grandma). The people that complete Sanam! I dont assume that only Aahil does that! She is not just Aahil's wife, but a person in her own right! THAT is what Shaad has forgotten. That this girl he has named "Jannat" actually has an identity and a family. Not just a love interest that he wants to keep her away from! I cant see ANY love in such selfishness! What she is getting with Shaad is not a "clean" slate, but an unclean deception which will only make her feel used and betrayed when she finds out the truth! Because I would rather know the facts of my life, not live in a fool's paradise that can come crashing on me any day! Also, her life with Shaad is no bed of roses, because thanks to him, she has seen the face of the terrorist Shashi Kapoor. So she is now a target! If he had let her go when he had the chance to find out who she was, then she would never have a target on her back like this!

Great post Mischy! I am waiting to see how Aahil will "absorb" all the stains that Sanam gets thanks to someone who has mislead her, and give her back her true identity again!

👏 👏

Mandy. Fact is,SaHil's relationship endured a lot, yes. But there were many factors, however they got through it, stuck with it and came out of it stronger.

And it's a fallacy that her life as "Jannat" is an easier life. See all that's happened due to her association with Shaad. How is it an easier life?

But that's not even the biggest thing. The biggest thing is that she's living a lie, a deception with a man whose actions either show him to be delusional, imbalanced or worse. To say that she has a clean slate where she can choose which life to live, is grossly ignoring this man's deceptive and violative actions.

It is no clean slate. it is a muddied, dirty, deceptive slate wherein which she is being violated without her knowledge every day.

Sagey, yeah that thought crossed my mind too, will he be the one to let her go. But that also depends on whether he gets to know about her memory loss?? If he gets, he will not walk away i thinkz cz he knows his Sanam, she dint left him when everything was against their love, so how come she would leave him now when there was nothing to keep them apart,

I agree with Mandy's take on that, True love doesnot mean u hv to force someone to lice with u, true love allows u to let go .. The other person's happiness is the only important thing , that was what made Aahil think he should not be forgiven, cz he thought Sanam would not be happy with him after all that happened, her happiness was his priority. N so will it remain, he will walk away if he thinks that Jannat will stay happy with Shaad, but thats the whole point, Sanam's happiness is with Aahil, Jannat is there only fr time being, shes not real, a ghost of Sanam, will vanish away soon n The pull of Aahil's love will Help that ghost to vanish away to come back to her real existence 😳😳
