Nice post Soup. I was not on the forum almost the whole day today, so didn't see it.
I am with Prags...I HATE that I have to thank Gul. (Like Aahil hated that he loved Sanam so much!).😉 But I guess thank her I must! SO thank you Gul, for bringing back KV to the show, and giving Aahil Raza Ibrahim, the male lead of this show, the due respect and story he deserves. His character and his pairing with Surbhi got this show back on track after a disaster last year! The LEAST you could have done is give him respect for that! If nothing else. But instead, you continued to use Aahil as a prop in your Vampfest! Finally he had enough and left!
Agreed Soup. I thank her even after her "Hook" drama and RAHAFA cheapness, coz finally she decided to give the fans of this show some respect for sticking to it all this time, and give them the outcome they invested in for 12 months!
Even I was ready to never watch her shows again. Had enough after IPK, and only watched QH on a lark and got hooked. Then ARJUN got ruined as well, and I thought "Never again". That is why I didn't watch HUMSAFARS. I had no stomach to watch a GK show on a daily basis. So just gave it a miss after watching a few episodes. Accept for Harshad's acting, I found no real charm in the rest of the narrative to hook me. I only watched it when they said the show was getting cancelled. I finished it recently, and I SAW why the show didn't last. The editing was bad and the concept though good, execution fell short. The actress was cute but strictly OK. She was improving, but was just not able to match up to HC in most scenes! The Vampfest? OMG. I don't think I need to say more! :)
So this was IT, for me! I was DONE, and I honestly was not going to watch a show by her PH ever again! Yes the THIRD major quitting drama for her. The first time, I knew it was the actor that wanted to leave, and 2nd time maybe channel had issues, third time it was 99% story and role! The actor was fed up with his role, and the story, and THAT was in HER hands to change, but she would not! So for that I was seriously angry with her, coz she was just PURE arrogance! She really thought this "The Damsel, The Witch and the Terrorist" story was going to run this show? She brought in a whole TRACK for AMG to come back as Misbah, but non of that respect and consideration was given to the MALE LEAD!
So even though I thank her, I thanks ZEE mostly, because if not for their intervention. (when they saw the writing on the wall, the complaints and the TRP lowering, and the CLEAR lack of direction or logic in the story), THEY made her get him back. So most of the thanks go to Zee. Coz end of the day had she not been so egotistic, she could have done some changes to the story, and SEEN the perspective of the actor and also the "Audience" who had been complaining about the story for MONTHS!
So a very "Reluctant" Thanks from me to Gul! :)
P.S: I forgot to mention, I did quit QH once, when ZOYAAN happened. Then came back and caught up. Even stayed through the quitting and replacement drama, so just could NOT do it again!
