Since we are on the clothes topic, I live in NY where people wears clothes according to choice, fashion, ethnicity, culture etc... Like most other countries, there is a variety! Your free to wear what you want. But even here there is a certain way one dresses based on the occasion. Whether your in college/school, out with friends, at a family gathering, at the club, at work etc... If my family and elders are around, I dress differently than I would when I am out with my friends. At family functions, when I wear an outfit, I usually try n keep in mind what my parents would think of it and how I would feel wearing it amongst everyone. As in how comfortable I would feel. While at prom, there was no such restriction, I wore a gown that was pretty revealing lol There are many way to dress in a fashionable manner, while keeping it suitable for the occasion lol I am not too fond of shorts so I go for capris n summer dresses lol Same with tanks, I like to carry a cardigan with it. At weddings, there are so many stylish and beautiful outfits that one can choose. I have gone shopping and its endless lol What Jannat/Sanam had on was not appropriate for a Walima or a wedding (as a guest) lol Even at wedding n receptions here, I have not seen outfits like that lol Honestly, they could have given her a much more classier outfit! But then thats my opinion. (It has nothing to do with SJ lol)

My comment had nothing to do with actual clothes that girls in Pakistan wear! I was talking about the "occasion!". Which is the Walima of a conservative Muslim family and they are introducing their babu to their acquaintances! In such a scene how realistic is it, to show a girl wearing a short backless choli with plunging neckline and practicslly her whole Middle exposed! Even a dupatta can't cover how exposed that dress was! That was just unreal!

If the occasion was not a Walima? Well maybe? But I don't think any traditional family would be happy if their babu dressed like that for her Walima! That's why I said, they deliberately put her in these inappropriate clothes, so they can Expose her to Shaad! It was a completley cynical attemp! That is why I have lost respect for this show and the makers! They do these unnecessary third class stunts, which have NOTHING to do with the furthering of their plot, all out of vulgarity! They think such scenes will get more eyeballs! Well they got taught a lesson for shamelessly promoting a vulgar scene like it was something to be proud of! I am glad it got cut!

As for my personal choice in clothing, I mostly wear jeans at the moment coz I am home with the kids these days! So comfort is key but I still do style with accessories etc. Scarves and jewellery, shoes etc! But during Uni days, I used to wear short dresses when I went clubbing! But you don't go in that outfit to your uncle's birthday party! THAT is what I mean by "appropriate". You have to dress as per the occasion! When I was working full time I mostly dressed in business clothes as I worked in corporate settings!

Exactly! Thats why I pointed out NY as well! Its the same everywhere. There is a certain way to dress based on the occasion and that dress was not appropriate for a Walima where there are family and elders present. Plus I found it very tacky anyway. Even if it was a regular function, this was not necessary, there are so many beautiful outfits that they could have chosen from. But obviously, they had a reason for this lol A very cheap one! Same here comfort is my main concern when I dress lol Plus honestly people are so busy, no one has the time to worry to much about their own or anyone's else's outfits lol As long as you dress for the occasion and look presentable, its all good lol I def agree with you. I know ur comment had nothing to do with Pakistan nor are u generalizing them, it was more about the occassion and the outfit they chose!

I didn't mean to compare NY n Pakistan, I apologize if it came off like that! I was merely citing another example. The US is viewed as very outgoing, but even here there is a certain code for every occasion! I think its basically the same for every country lol

@Zeeshan7

Thank you for your insightful and very intelligent response to my post! Just coz some people wish to "ship" all this, that does not mean other people can't voice their opinion!

Like it or not, that scene was highly inappropriate and extremely vulgar. A girl exposing her body to a stranger and him ogling her and touching her. (Hooking her blouse and tying her dori) the sort of thing a women will only feel comfortable letting a man she is intimate with do for her! This man very well knows they have no relationship and still, he does this?

The makers went way too far and crossed their limits by shooting that third rate scene! And people who have a moral compass said so to them! Finally they edited it out! So looks like not that many people were laughing at the cristizm? Coz the channel took it seriously and cut the scene! So now 4 Cheap Ingrates PH had to dump the vulgar scene they shot and promoted, like it was something to be proud of! They are despicable, and let this be a lesson to them that not everyone "buys" their vulgarity and accepts it laying down!

Mandy👏👏 spot on post! I've said something similar during AhEr track too.

Gul&Co are better off branching into making B-grade movies, where they can show rampant violence and sex. don't know whether we've any adult Hindi channel that'll air their shows currently.
They are supposed to be making a muslim family drama and this is what they come up with.
This PH has done everything from objectifying men,to rape like scene of Asad, to pushing people into compromising situations for the sake of twists, Rajaini/Humeria that guy(forgot his name),Zoyan,Jannu,Aher and now Jannat-Shad.

Their perversity has become louder and their scenes bolder with each couple and each season.
I'm glad Zee is responding to viewer's feelings.

I'm disappointed with Sj too. She doesn't use her brains and just follows the orders i think.if she had cared little for Sanam's character she played, she would have portrayed or demanded Jannat to be shown differently.from the reaction posts, Jannat seems to be just horny not sick.😆

Gul Khan tere jalwe hazaar
In one line I should say, "Bandar kya jaane adrak ka swad?"

Expecting normalcy in Indian dramas and especially from 4 Bandar Production House ke shows is like expecting a snake to do kathak (a type of classical dance) jo haqeeqat mei possible nahi hai.

These days, I just read the reaction posts and make fun of the nonsense being dished out at the audience. I get a good hard laugh by coming to IF's QH forum and that increases my blood circulation. Worrying about the content or logic is something I let go of a long time ago.

@Nkapoor00:

I despised ZOYAAN as much as anyone else and even stopped watching when it happened and later caught up. I just got fed up of sick twists that came at all the wrong times in the show! Muqadar Ka Khel BS! But at least they kept the vulgarity low on the ZOYAAN track!

Even Aahil and Seher was a tacky idea, but their execution was a little bit classier! In that the women was always keeping her distance from the man! But with this new Shaad-Jannat business, they are going ALL out and bringing in the cheapest scenes possible! Out of all the other tracks, this is the worst! Coz at least Zoya and Ayaan knew each other! They were friends!

Aahil and Seher was a business deal, from Seher's side! There was no romance there, only a misunderstanding by Aahil that this is his wife! But in THIS track? The man knows this girl is a stranger! Girl dosent know and just keeps clinging to him. Almost to an unrealistic level! And this scene was the last straw coz it was so not needed to show whatever they are trying to show! They didn't need to expose her half clothed body to this man, or get him to touch her to further the narrative!

So I can only assume they did it for shock value, and also vulgarity! As for KV? Yes I like him very much as Aahil! But even if I didn't, I would never agree to this scene! Personally I think Shehezad Sheik and also Vikrant Massey were better looking than Varun Toorkey! Not that he looks bad! But those guys were better looking!

I am sure it was not the arrogant looser PH that did anything my friend! But I think they were told by the channel! Since the channel airs their show and final say lays with them, they probably had to bow down! Even after publicising their vulgar scene all over SBS and SBB! That is where they went wrong coz people who saw it must have complained to the channel!

I am happy someone taught them a lesson! I also tweeted Zee and even forum 32 to stop showing vulgar scenes that are not needed to further the plot! Looks like they were forced by the channel to listen! Serves them right for their arrogance and lack of class!
