Qubool Hai | Photo-shoot With Amrapali and Additi
Photo-shoot with Amrapali and Additi Gupta who play Mizbah Syed and New Sanam in Qubool Hai was a fun session.
Why do we do this? Cause we enjoy clicking them. We find them not just beautiful, but there is this quality that is elusive. What do we see in Amrapali Gupta? Though she plays an outright evil personality in the show, there is warmth in her that comes across on the camera. She has this softness. She effuses this through her eyes, through her whole demeanour that we find fascinating.
Then there is Additi Gupta, whom we have seen since her days in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and find her to be an extremely attractive person. She looks so tough on the outside but we like the quality that is just under the surface, that of a woman who oozes charm and ethereal quality that begs to be captured.
Add to this our penchant for capturing moments with them. Our particular rapport with the artists allows us to get them to pose unlike their characters. We always feel that getting working stills is part of our job, but capturing certain essence of what they actually are is a challenge we want to take up.
We have known Amrapali Gupta for almost two years and she is a consummate actor who gives her all to her role. This quality of hers is something we admire in her. And like a true artist, we see her give it all. Amrapali's personality of being the married woman who gives home remedies for common ailments is something that would never come across in her character. The character and the person are so far removed that they are like chalk and cheese.
Additi Gupta is a composed and secure person in her own right. And what we find in the character she plays usually is someone who is insecure and vulnerable even when she is playing a negative character. Her voice has this tremor when she is in the scene, especially when she has to dupe people. How she does that is something that fascinates us.
