I wondered why they made Aahil confess his "crime" in front of so many people. I mean, it can lead to him being jailed. But, it's simple really. If Aahil had come to know the truth when alone, Billi would have definitely tried to kill him. But here there are witnesses and hence everyone is safe from Billi's plans. Even she cannot pull off killing so many people.

That would make sense if it were SSR who staged this confession. But Aahil did this on his own.

I thought maybe the death anniversary and his love failure and two wives situation may have put him in a self destructive mode...

But thankfully the proof is in the right hands at the right time. Now let Aahil find out for himself who the culprit is...

Nope. I meant the writers. Why they staged this in front of the witnesses. Aahil though is in a self destructive mode. His flashback of Sanam did make it seem that he is regretting treating her such because she did help him through a very dark phase of his life. He is absolutely craving punishment for something he is not even guilty of.

Really sagey..😲 I would credit Ahil with a lot more than just being in self destructive mode.
There are times when we confess our very old wrongs in front of parents(I broke my mum's precious trophy that she won in a cycle race and confessed to it later. As a 10 year old my mom's cold shoulder and anger for even a day or 2 was equivalent to what jail sentence would be for Aahil.)
I would credit him more. He wanted to unburden his soul. Perhaps he feels the almighty is taking away his happiness coz the almighty wants a penance from him.
I have zero doubt that he would have calmly walked towards the jail to serve his punishment if needed.
Just coz we have some characters not being sufficiently remorseful after realizing their folly, we cannot take away Aahil's glory for him.
Confessing to even your past crimes is laudable. Never would I call it self-destructive.He feels without Sanam a chance at life is anyways lost, plus she has made him a lot more thinking, perceptive and sensible being. With all these qualities he cannot live with the guilt. Perhaps he also wants to re-establish his mum's respect in front of everyone.
never mind that it was a pretty well staged scene thought by the writer to
gimme time to enjoy KV's acting😳
give Sanam a perfect platform to announce even he is not guilty.
give folks a chance to want to punch Aahil again for yelling his undying love for Ammi from the rooftops.
Makes me think, he'd never be able to hate this woman ever...even after all her crimes come tumbling out. Hope by then Sanam is with him😭

I felt really bad for Aahil too! So much guilt! The burden of guilt is humungous and he believes himself guilty of a lot! But finally he is being released from it, starting with the biggest one of all! One that tormented his childhood, teen and adult years! As for why he confessed, to me he seemed kind of tired of it all... Like he tried to be happy and fall on love... Didn't work out... He still has feelings for Sanam and appreciates everything she has done but has not gotten over the heartbreak from her "dhoka". He cant figure out why she would give him so much hope only to destroy it. If only he knew... So maybe he figured that this crime was one of the reasons for his life being such a mess. He said in one of the early episodes that God wont forgive him, even death wont want him... Something like that... So I guess he figured at least give his Ammi back the respect she deserves n own up to his crime. Maybe God might forgive him and show him a path. As for Sanam, I have always wanted her to support Aahil through this, not really because she loves but because of humanity. This guilt has troubled him enough, and whether or not she choses to stay with him in the future, knowing he is innocent and releasing him from the guilt was necessary! He has said really mean things to her, but thats a different equation while this is something else. I am proud that she didn't let anything stop her. She kept her end of the promise to free him! Loved the look Aahil gave Sanam! KV totally made me feel for Aahil in that scene! He was just brilliant! I am glad they are finally letting Aahil investigate the truth because he suffered as much as the twins did! Atleast the twins could have avoided Tanveer and lived happy lives but Tanveer would have eventually had Aahil killed and he would have fallen into her trap. So glad to see that things are finally coming out before him! Hopefully the twin secret makes its way out soon lol Great post Sage!!!
