PART 4 -FINAL PART

Aahil's eyes grew wide in disbelief at this statement. He stared at Rehan and Seher for a moment and then shook his head.

"WHAT?" said Aahil. "This is your girlfriend? Suneheri? Rehan...have you lost it? You told me your girlfriend is "just like Sanam!", you didn't tell me she IS Sanam? Is this some sort of sick joke? Coz let me warn you...I am in no laughing mood Rehan!" said Aahil, his voice cold as ice.

Rehan continued to stand his ground and he did not let go of Seher's hand.

"No Aahil Bhai...this is NOT a joke! She really is my girlfriend and no she is NOT Sanam! She is Suneheri!"

At this point Seher moved her hand away from Rehan and stepped forward.

"Aahil...Rehan is telling the truth. I am Suneheri. NOT Sanam. We met when Rehan was working on the Kohinoor project. But you're right in saying that you would not believe I am not Sanam! Most people would not believe it. Even Rehan thought I was her when he first met me! The first time I saw Sanam, I thought I was looking in the mirror!"

"You've MET Sanam?" said Aahil incredulously. He still looked dazed, as if he was trying to process this. She even sounded like Sanam! HOW was this possible?

"Yes. I've met Sanam! Actually I saw her for the first time months ago. When you were in the hospital after inhaling that poisonous gas!"

Aahil shook his head. "This is not making any sense!"

"Well let me tell you then who I really am, and maybe it will make more sense to you!"

"What do you mean by who you really are?"

"Suneheri is the name I called myself for years, because I didn't know what my REAL name was! But now I do! It's Seher. Seher Ahemed Khan!"

Aahil's eyes flew open. "Seher Ahemed Khan? But that...that is Sanam's last name?"

"Yes it is. And it is mine too. Because we share the same parents. My parents are Asad and Zoya Ahemed Khan. I look just like Sanam...because we are twins. Identical twins!"

"WHAT?" said Aahil as he ran his hand through his hair. "This is insane! I mean, do you have any PROOF of what you are saying? Where is Sanam? WHY has she never told me she has a twin?"

"Sanam has gone to Haya's. That is why we chose this time to come see you. She dosent know Rehan and I are talking to you. She never told you, because she herself didn't know! Neither of us knew of the other till 2 months ago."

"How is this possible?"

"When our parents were ki...died, there was a fire in our house. I got displaced, and Badi Ammi could only find Haya and Sanam. She took them and moved to Punjab. I was left alone. I didn't know I even had a family, until I met Badi Ammi!"

"Badi Ammi? How did you meet her, she is in Shimla?"

"No she is not! Long story, and I will explain it all later...but I DID meet her here in Bhopal. SHE told me who I was. She stopped me from making the biggest mistake of my life!"

"What is that?"

"Marrying you!" said Seher in a grave tone.

Aahil did a double take. "WHAT? Come again? Marrying ME? How were you marrying me..How...?.." then suddenly Aahil stopped, as a thought occurred to him. Suddenly it all fell into place, clarity dawned. ALL those times he had thought he was losing his mind, that she was not like Sanam that she was behaving odd! Finally it all made sense!

"That was YOU? YOU ran from the wedding? It was you...not Sanam! It was not Sanam!" Aahil almost whispered, as if he was talking to himself!

"No. It was not Sanam! It was ME. It was me all along. Since the night of the Kohinoor launch!"

"WHERE was Sanam?" asked Aahil shaking his head. He was still reeling from the shock of this revelation.

"She was kidnapped. By Razia!"

"RAZIA?"

"Yes Razia. SHE planned it all. She knew about the two of us. She had seen me and she figured out who I was. You see, she has been connected to my family for a long time!"

Aahil looked perplexed and Seher explained how Razia was related to them. She deliberately left out the part about Tanveer. There was time for that revelation!

"She came to me and offered me money to do a job. She didn't tell me what. On the night of the Kohinoor launch, I found out the job was to impersonate Sanam!"

"WHY would she want to do this...but first of all...why did she come to you to impersonate someone? I mean...why would she think you would agree? Why did you agree?"

"Because Aahil...I am...well WAS a con women. A thief!"

"Excuse me? A con women? Sanam's twin is a con women? Now I have heard everything!" said Aahil as he took a deep breath.

"Not is...WAS..."

Aahil looked at her incredulous and then glanced at Rehan.

"Did you know this?"

"Yes. I did Aahil Bhai. When I first met Suneheri...I mean Seher...I didn't know. She didn't tell me. That is why we fell out. But later I realised I needed to give her and our relationship another chance. After coming home, and seeing Sanam again, spending time with her...it just reminded me more and more of Seher. But at the time...I didn't realise...it was HER I was talking to the whole time!"

"Aahil...the situation between you and Sanam...it is MY fault. She did nothing wrong! She loved you then, she loves you now, and she will continue to love you. She didn't tell you the truth because she was protecting me! MY identity. I ruined her life, but she was STILL covering for me!"

"But WHY? Why are you such a big secret?"

"Because it was imperative to us, that no one know there was two of us! Aahil...what I am about to tell you will be very hard for you to accept. But the true reason that Razia wanted me to impersonate Sanam, was coz she wanted revenge!"

"She wanted revenge from your Mother, because she was her step daughter?"

"No. She wanted revenge from your Mother! Because she was her Sauten!"

"Her Sauten? What are talking about? Razia was not my Father's wife?"

"No. As I told you before, she was my grandfather's wife. Begum Sahiba...well Tanveer Begh at the time, married my grandfather Gaffur Ahemed Siddiqui. HE was her first husband, not your Father!"

Aahil stared incredulously. "This can't be true!"

"It IS true Aahil Bhai! And we have proof!" Rehan came forward and showed Aahil a copy of a marriage certificate. (Rehan and Seher had spent a couple of hours at the register offices that morning getting all this proof. Rehan knew someone at the office, who had helped him get a hold of the records. Then he had gone to his old Orphanage and got a copy of his original file, where a copy of his birth certificate was also held.)

"Am...Begum Sahiba was married to Gaffur Ahemed Siddiqui! Razia Bi's husband! This is the reason that she wanted revenge from her. Begum Sahiba took everything from her, and she wanted to get Suneheri to impersonate Sanam, and get all your property transferred to her name! That way, she would be able to kick Begum Sahiba out and reclaim this house!"

"This house?"

"Yes this was their house! This was Sanam and Seher's parents house as well, until the fire!"

"Look" said Rehan, as he produced a copy of the original title deed. It had the previous owner as "Ahemed Khan Trust" and the owner before that as Gaffur Ahemed Siddiqui and Rashid Ahemed Khan".

Aahil stared at it. "Aahil bhai...there is also something else I need to show you!" said Rehan as he pulled out another piece of paper. He held it in front of Aahil, and he took it off him. He read the contents and his eyes glazed over. He looked up at Rehan incredulously.

"Rehan...you are Am...Ammi's son?" said Aahil, his voice shocked. Rehan looked back at him and held his gaze. "Yes Aahil Bhai...I am!"

"How long have you known this?"

"Since childhood! The only reason Begum Sahiba adopted me, was because I was her actual son! She could never openly acknowledge me, because she didn't tell your Father about me! So she just brought me up in this house, and then made me an employee!"

Aahil stared at him in shock. "How could Ammi do this?"

"Aahil bhai. All our Ammi wants is wealth. She is very greedy for money and property. She always made me believe that she couldn't accept me publically, because of society and what they would think. Because she was not married when she had me. I was her "najayez aulaad". But the truth was, she didn't want to lose the chance of being the mistress of all this!" said Rehan indicating around him. "Her child was less important to her, than her title and her money! THAT is the truth Aahil bhai! Jis Ammi ki aap ibadath karthain hain...woh iss ibadath ke layak nahi hain!"

Aahil took a deep breath. "Rehan...what she did with you was wrong. But still she took the blame for my crime. I owe everything to her!"

"That is what she wants you to think Aahil bhai. But the truth is something else! I am sorry to say, but Ammi herself told me that all she wants is your wealth! Yeh pyaar, yeh qurbani, yeh sab ek natak hain...apki ankon main dhool joak ne ke liye! She wants you to feel indebted to her, so that when the time came, you would gladly write over your fortune to her. That was her plan all along, and she would have succeeded too, if not for Sanam!"

"Sanam?"

"Yes. Sanam. She found out her true intentions. She even tried to force Sanam to sign the property documents. She tried to smother her with the help of Khala Khalu, to force her into signing. But you came home too early and their plan failed. But on the day of the Kohinoor launch, Ammi threatened Sanam with your life and told her she had to sign the documents on the stage, or she will have you killed. But before Sanam could sign, Razia had the power cut off, and exchanged her with Seher. Then Ammi tried to attack Seher, well who she thought was Sanam with a knife, and that's when Seher twisted her arm!"

Aahil was looking at Rehan incredulously. Then suddenly he remembered how Ammi had said that Sanam attacked her at the party, and that is how her arm was twisted. Could he believe this story? Could he really believe that Ammi was capable of all this? It appeared that there was a lot of things about her he didn't know. Her first marriage, and her child out of wedlock. If she could hide all this from him, then what else is she hiding? Did she just hide all that out of shame or out of some malice? Aahil was confused. But the most important thing was that Sanam had not betrayed him.

He knew that most of what Rehan and Seher told him was probably true. They had proof about the house, Ammi's first marriage and even Rehan's birth. But what about this girl Seher? What proof did she have she is not Sanam? She looks and sounds just like her. Was this some sort of game that Rehan and Sanam were playing? Ammi had told him that all Sanam wanted was to get revenge from him for the way he treated her at the start. Sanam had also told him that she was only here till the end of the three months and she could not wait to be free? But since then, things had changed, and he had thought she loved him and wanted to stay. But on the day of their second wedding she had disappeared. Rejecting him.

It appeared now that Rehan also had a reason to want revenge. If he was in Rehan's place, he would probably want revenge too. After all, his own Mother had made him an employee in her house. Always treated someone else as her son, and never even acknowledged him as her son. How painful must that have been for Rehan? Aahil remembered how sometimes he himself had acted towards Rehan! His chest suddenly felt tight with remorse. How hard must that have been for Rehan? He had always tolerated everything. Maybe now he wanted a chance to get back at his Mother and him, and he is helping Sanam get her revenge. Can he really blame him for feeling this way? He looked at Rehan.

"Rehan...I am SO sorry for the way I have behaved towards you in the past. I know I have not been fair to you a lot of times. But please don't use that against me at a time like this. If you and Sanam want to get back at me...I get it. But, pretending that Sanam has a twin was not needed!"

"Pretending? After everything we just told you, you think Suneheri is Sanam?" Rehan looked at Aahil in a perplexed way, then looked at Seher. They exchanged a look that said "What do we do now?"

Then suddenly Aahil turned to Seher. "Tum Neeche ho Miss Dabewali!" he said.

Seher stared at Aahil. "What?" she said frowning.

Aahil looked at her for a moment. Either she was a really good actress, or she really didn't seem to understand what he was talking about. But he had to make sure again. He continued to look at her and said.

"Nayi Dhaba kareed lena!"

"Nayi Gadi Kareed Lena!" Suddenly a voice said softly from behind them. All looked up perplexed, and saw Sanam standing at the door. Aahil stood transfixed for a moment. He looked at the girl standing at the door, and then back at the girl standing next to Rehan. They looked like a carbon copy of each other. But that one line, and the serenity in the face of the girl near the door, told him who the real Sanam was. Who HIS Sanam was. She really was a twin, and she had never left him. Aahil suddenly felt like his whole world spun over. She didn't betray him. She still loved him. His feelings were almost euphoric, and he could barely breathe for the sensation it gave him.

"Sanam..." said Aahil almost reverently. Sanam looked at Aahil, her eyes misting over. Aahil moved forward towards her, and she also took a few steps into the room.

Aahil then came in front of her and grabbed her by the arms and pulled her close to him. He pulled her into his arms in a bone crushing hug. They held each other for a long moment, and then moved apart. Aahil held onto Sanam's arms, as he looked down at her."WHY? Why didn't you tell me before? Why did you waste so much time? Why did you tolerate my behavior Sanam? Why did you let us both suffer for so long?"

"I'm sorry Aahil..." Breathed Sanam.

"Didn't you trust me enough to tell me?"

"I didn't know how you would take it Aahil. You have always loved Begum Sahiba so much. I didn't know how you would react to knowing what sort of women she really was. What she did to my family. To my parents!"

Rehan and Seher froze as they heard this line. Sanam must have assumed they told Aahil everything. How Tanveer had killed their family.

"To your parents? What did she do to your parents Sanam? I know she was married to your grandfather...and that she is Rehan's Mother...but...your parents...what?..." He trailed off as he looked at Sanam perplexed. Sanam looked towards her right where Rehan and Seher were standing and Seher shook her head, as if to say "He dosent know!" Sanam closed her eyes. Then she took a deep breath and looked Aahil squarely in the eyes.

"Aahil...please listen to me. This is not something I know you will want to accept. But the truth is...Tanveer knew my parents for a long time. She went to school with Abbu and even stayed at their house during the time Ammi came to live here from New York. She wanted to marry Abbu and was jealous of Ammi. Even at that time, she was pregnant with Rehan. She did a lot of things to try and get Abbu away from Ammi, but it didn't work. She even separated them for awhile, by making it look like Abbu had a fling with her. She tried to pretend Abbu was Rehan's father, but her lies were found out in the end. Finally it seemed like she had given up. She was declared mentally unstable, and sent to an asylum. It's there that she had Rehan. She married my grandfather, promising him the identity of his daughter. My Ammi. Ammi had been looking for her father for a long time, and Tanveer knew who he was. But she never told Ammi, coz she was working for Razia. But when the time came, she used that information to blackmail my grandfather into marrying her, and came to live in this house as his second wife!"

Aahil was staring at Sanam in shock. But after everything he had heard today, he had to hear this out too. Sanam then went on to tell him how Tanveer had plotted to separate her parents yet again, by killing her grandfather Rashid Ahemed Khan and pinning his murder on her other grandfather...Gaffur Ahemed Siddiqui. Her purpose being to pit her parents against each other and break them up. Sanam said how she divorced her grandfather in order to marry her father. How her Abbu also played along with her, and pretended like he would marry her. But on the day of the Nikah, Razia tricked her into confessing to the murder of Rashid. She went to jail and then nearly 3 years later, on the day of Sanam and Seher's 2^nd Birthday, she came to this house and killed her parents, aunt and grandfather and set fire to the house.

"This is what happened Aahil. And I can prove it. Badi Ammi is in Punjab now, and all you have to do is ask her. She saw the whole thing with her own eyes! Also, prison records will show that Tanveer was in jail for my grandfather's murder, before she ran away from there. She probably had help. Someone she must have paid off to get out. Of course her name then was Tanveer Begh. So the records would be in that name! I know this is hard to accept, but this is the truth. As for what you think she did for you?...She didn't go to jail for you Aahil. She went to jail for her own crime!"

Aahil stared at Sanam. "What do you mean Sanam? Even if Ammi did ALL this, she still went to jail for me! I shot Abbu!"

"No Aahil. You didn't. Do you know that your Dad died on the night of Eid? I read your old diary that said that you were locked in the room till 7 in the morning. Do you know your Father was found dead at 5.55am?"

Aahil looked at Sanam shocked. "How do you know something like that?"

"I know, because on the night of the Kohinoor launch, I was in the store room and I found an old newspaper clipping. It had an article about famous unsolved deaths. Your father was profiled as one of those deaths. It said no one really knows who killed him and that his death happened at 5.55am on the morning of Eid. He was found with a gunshot wound in his room! So there is no way you could have done it. You were locked in your room till 7am. The ONLY reason Tanveer came and gave you that gun and told you you shot your Abbu was because SHE was the one who did!"

"How can you be so sure of that Sanam?"

"Because on the night of the Kohinoor launch, I confronted her and she admitted to me that this was the case. But she told me if I told you anything, she would have you killed. She even had a sniper up in the balcony aiming a gun at you. She said that I had to quietly come on stage and sign the documents in front of everyone, or she will give orders to shoot! THAT is why I know it's true Aahil!"

Aahil let go of Sanam and staggered back a step. Both Rehan and Sanam came forward.

"Aahil are you OK?" said Sanam.

"Aahil Bhai?" said Rehan as he stepped closer to him. Aahil lifted his hand to both of them, as if to say "Don't come closer!" Sanam and Rehan looked at each other and then Seher. They were not sure what Aahil was thinking. Then Aahil walked to the couch in the corner of the room and sat down. He then put his elbows on his knees and lowered his face into his palms. He sat there for a few minutes like that. He was taking deep breaths, as if to calm himself down. He was reeling in shock and his body was shaking. He didn't know how to take this. But the things Sanam, Seher and Rehan had said all made sense, and they had some proof as well, and more proof could also be obtained to prove the rest. He knew how fantastic it all sounded. But there had been no theatrics of any sort from any of them. They had the conviction of people telling the truth.

He then thought of the many times that Ammi had manipulated him. How even in the case of his marriage to Sanam, she had waited till the last moment to tell him Nida left the scene. Now he wondered if she had even left at all. Even the night of his second wedding to Sanam, she had plenty of time to tell him that Sanam was missing. But she didn't. Instead, she brought some random stranger in, and made him marry her. She said it was for their family honor. But it all seemed fake now. How can a women who turned her own son into a servant in her house, be trusted to think the best for her step son? A child she had not even given birth to? Rehan had suffered for so many years in silence because of her. All the love she showed him was all manipulation. She knew how he felt about Sanam, but never respected his feelings, or his love. She had tried her level best to make him believe that he and Sanam should not be together. These were not the actions of a Mother who loved her child, and had his best interests at heart. Even though sometimes he had wondered at her behavior, his feelings of guilt and the burden of her favor on him, had always stopped him from ever exploring his doubts about her actions. He had been blinded. Well he was not blind anymore.

Aahil stood up. It was time to confront Begum Sahiba aka Tanveer Begh. He was going to tell her he knew what she was. Then he would make Sanam's Badi Ammi come back to town, and get the case of her family's murder re-opened. After which, he would give a monitory settlement to Sanam, the girl who Ammi had conned him into marrying. She was not his real wife anyway, and there was no way he would tolerate this con relationship any further. He would speak to the Maulavi Saahab and also to the lawyer and explain everything to them. He will get the marriage nullified. He had never wanted anyone but Sanam as his wife. Sanam Ahemed Khan. Even that day, he had married HIS Sanam. Not this stranger.

Aahil looked at Sanam. She came forward to him. He held out his hand to her and she took it. He pulled her close and to his side. "Come with me Sanam. Lets go and speak to Begum Tanveer, and then to this new Sanam. Both of them have no place in our life anymore!"

He then turned to Rehan and Seher. "I want you both to come with us as well! This is about you too! Lets end these games and lies today. Tanveer started this game. We'll end it! I promise you both that we will get her the punishment she deserves for what she did to your parents. To your family! She will not get away with this! Rehan...Seher...can you both give me a few minutes alone with my wife please?"

"Sure Aahil Bhai!" said Rehan with a smile. "Come Seher!" said Rehan...as he led her out of the room. Seher gave a quick smile to Sanam and she smiled back at her. Finally Sanam and Aahil were together again, and Seher felt a bit of her guilt leave her. As soon as the door closed behind Rehan and Seher, Aahil turned Sanam towards him.

"Don't you think there is something you need to tell me Mrs Aahil Raza Ibrahim?"

"What?" said Sanam as she looked up at him perplexed.

"The night of the Kohinoor Launch, I told you something on stage. I know it's been three months, but you know what they say..."Better late than never?" So I want my reply!" said Aahil with a smile.

"What reply Mr Ibrahim? I don't remember what you said to me! So how can I reply?" said Sanam archly.

"So...it's like that is it?" said Aahil as he pulled her closer.

"Like what?" said Sanam her browse lifting.

"Stop teasing me Sanam! You know what I want to hear!"

"Like I said before...I need to be reminded of what you said! Then I can give my answer as well! Pehele Aap batha do...phir main bhi kahungi!" she said with a small smile. Aahil smiled back, as he remembered that night on Bohjpur Hill, when they had had a very similar conversation. Aahil ran the knuckle of his right index finger down Sanam's cheek. Sanam sighed at the caress. Aahil looked at her intently. Sanam blushed under his gaze.

"Blushing already? And I haven't even told you yet?"

"Who's teasing now?" said Sanam softly.

"I love you Sanam!" said Aahil, his voice husky. "I love you so much. More than anything, more than anyone! When I thought you left me, I honestly didn't want to live...I..." Aahil was saying as Sanam quickly covered his mouth with her palm.

"Don't EVER say that again! I'm yours Aahil. I always was, and I always will be! I've never left you, and I never will! You're stuck with me!"

"I'm happy to be stuck with you baby! For the rest of my life!"

"I'm happy to be stuck with you too Aahil. For always. I love you so much! Don't ever doubt that!" said Sanam her eyes full of sincere love.

"I never will!" said Aahil, as he pulled Sanam into his arms. She wound her arms around his neck and his hands went around her waist. Aahil bent his head and captured Sanam's lips in a kiss. Neither knew how long the kiss went on for, but they had to pull apart because they ran out of breath.

"Now that we've found each other again, I swear I will never let you out of my sight again...! I'm so sorry Sanam!" said Aahil, looking at her intently.

"For what?"

"For not knowing it was not you! I should have known!"

"Aahil...I know you should have. But how would you ever have even imagined what actually happened? It was just too fantastic and far-fetched! I don't hold it against you!" Sanam sighed.

"You are too good my love. But I am not as good as you! I hold it against myself. I am also angry with your sister. She kept you away from me. But I will forgive her. For your sake!"

"She is a nice girl inside Aahil. She has had to face tough times growing up. She didn't have anyone. Please try to understand why she was the way she was! She's not a bad person. She really does love me!"

"I know baby, and Rehan loves her, and he's my brother. So...that means, since she will be my sister in law from two sides, I will have to learn to love her as well!"

"Thank you Aahil!" said Sanam smiling at him, as she put her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest.

"No. Thank YOU Sanam. Thank you for coming into my life and making it worth living. Making it perfect!" he said as he rested his head on hers. They held each other like that for a long moment. Then Aahil stirred, and Sanam lifted her head off his chest and looked at him. Aahil put Sanam away from him reluctantly. But then he took her hand and laced his fingers through hers. They looked at each other.

"It's time! Let's do this!" he said as they walked hand in hand to the door. Aahil opened the library door and stepped outside with Sanam. They looked at each other again!

"Ready Miss Dabewali?" he asked with a smile.

"Ready Jallad Jin!" said Sanam returning his smile.

Hand in hand, they walked towards the hall, to face the fire that was to come. This time the ring of fire surrounded them, but they were not burning anymore. The fire raged, but it could not touch Aahil and Sanam. They were one.

I like the fact you show us what it should happen if Rehan and Seher reveal the truth to Aahil: seher admit her responsibility in the conflict btw Sahil. GOOD ! She should have done that a long time ago in the show. Rehan revealed her mother 's reality to his brother And They had proofs in order to support their accusations.

Poor Aahil 😕 the man was so confused. I admit it 's complex affair. If I didn't know what was going in the show I will sure think Seher and Rehan are nuts and have a motivation 😆

I didn't understand the hindi dialogues but I couldn't stop smiling ! the way Aahil was trying to test Seher was actually quite clever and funny lol

You resume all Tanveer 's sins in this chapter ... it must have been tough for you to write everything down. You didn't miss anything 😛 ! Everything was reveal to Aahil. To be honest I think the poor man would have an heart attacks when the truth about his Ammi will be revealed 😕 he love this demon so much ! I'm really feeling bad every time we saw him like a puppy in her feet.

The only regret I have is that you didn't show us the confrontation. But I guess you have a reason to not showing that scene.
