So I just watched all of last week's QH: It's a pretty decent watch

Maybe it's the space and distance from the show and the forum. Maybe it's the fact that I know Sanam will be making her escape soon in the upcoming episodes. Maybe it's seeing the new Title Card and Aahil and Sanam's looks. Maybe it's the fact that I marathoned the episodes rather than going through the process of watching each daily.

But whatever the case...last week was really not a bad watch. When I read the WUs, what made me think i had lost connectivity was the contract marriage retcon. And I think even after watching, that aspect I am not connected with. It's not that I am not familiar with retcons, but something about this one makes me disconnected. (And it is indeed a retcon--it could never have been a contract/temporary marriage from the start because if it were Tanveer would never have needed to insist on Divorce papers again and again.)

I thought I would be done after catching up with the last week and once the remarriage aspect appeared. But surprisingly, I didn't find last week's episodes a chore to watch, and though I still a not pleased with the contract marriage deadline, it did not make me want to quit watching.

As for why I didn't find last week's episodes bad. That is a bit harder to explain. Which I am not really up to right now. In some ways, it may be because I grew up watching soap operas, and to me a lot of it really did feel like a watchable soap.

And last but not least, Shout out to ma girl, Begum Sahiba and her wardrobe and style. :)

(Unfortunately, some intern at Zee forgot to upload Friday's episode in HD)

P.S. I really am not up to and don't have time for any long discussion. I just needed to put my thoughts somewhere.

P.P.S. I am glad they didn't focus on the Rehan-Sanam aspect and Aahil jealousy/suspicions possibility.

Am glad you also think that the episodes last week were watchable :) I think you won't be disappointed with the episodes of this week too.

Yes, thank goodness the Rehan-Sanam angle wasn't brought in.

Oh, absolutely...the classic vamp Begum Sahiba did make an appearence. My fav scene of hers, when she realises that someone wants to tell "Sanam" that Haya is her sister and cannot speak and hear.

I also liked Raziya-Sanam scenes in that chamber.

I doubt it's because you didn't watch it day to day... I did, and it was pretty enjoyable. I'm sure you'd find no difference had you watch it day to day. Though really, the wait can be testing ;) Hee!
Surely we've seen better days, but the whole of last week was no chore or bore, for the likes of me of course (and you too turns out!).

And really!

Your shout out! Hear hear sistah! Begum Sahiba looking every bit regal. Oh I love what I see.

Thanks for this.

Mwahhh!

Oh and @Nikki the chamber scene between Razia and Sanam...yes yes! Scene was pretty good.

Totally agreed. The response on the forum and my reactions while watching it on a daily basis were different. The episodes were really not that bad, it was just build up for the upcoming drama that we will know is going to happen, just that Seher had to get the lay of the land with the characters at IM prior to it happening. I think the whole waiting daily for each episode and SaHil/Sanam withdrawals was just making everyone anxious.
P.S. - I felt like the whole Rehan-Seher-Aahil angle was subtly put out there to mess with the audience's head as a red herring. They definitely were bringing it up and playing with our heads in a subtle way, but even when they were, I never got the dreaded feeling of it actually playing out.

Raziya-Sanam scenes were good scenes.
I agree, I never really got the dreaded feeling of Sanam-Rehan angle.playing out either. There were ust the two instances where it was brushed on nut not focused last week. Another would be the hug from this week.

Khala-Khalu's "nafrat" made me laugh. When she asks what it is he feels for her and he answers, "nafrat." 😆

The Nafrat bit was epic.

I actually love and *quite honestly appreciate* the effort they put in in making such scenes work. The manners in which they speak and move and all! Fantastic chemistry too they have!
