Bharti Naari should be caring nurturing and selfless, like Sanam

Forgive me for I don't like stereotypes coz the world is not plain black and white, gotta lot of gray in it

I did not say you did. 😛

Do you expect grey characters to be praised? 😆

Umm I don't think anyone brought in the chastity/virginity thing in here before you. As for being a thief/conwoman, I don't think anyone has a problem with that too.

Also, people in the real world do judge/criticise grey characters too. How do you expect it to be any different here? I don't understand where the stereotype angle fits into this.

No one said Sunehri should be like Sanam.

it would be really great if she is the one who finds the truth...

At this point, who knows who is going to find out anything.

Totally!

I think her attitude is getting to even the most optimistic of us right now.

I don't get the AsYa daughter thing, honestly. Perhaps when she's Seher, and knows the truth.
For not, she's just Sunehri and is a product of her circumstances, not the child that came from a loving home.
I think viewers need to let go of that for now.

Yes ofcourse she had a hard life and her moto in life was to earn money no matter how because she was deprived of that since her childhood. She is ASAD Ahmed Khans daughter and having such a life since she was 2 . I understand her POV.
What bothered me here is CVs shown her as a circumstantial thief with a golden heart and she was shown returning a mans wallet so that his kids get their share of happiness. But of course she did loot a street vendor which is again contradictory. What bothers me here is that she is not even interested to know about Sanam and what actually happened to her, whether she is any danger or not . Yes her profession forbids her to do the same, but given her goodn heart character I had higher expectations from her. She just proved out to be another heartless vamp who needs tough redemption because here she is not only conning somebody , but she actually replaced another girl whose life could be in danger because of her. She is not shown to be having any sort of remorse doing that.

I think expecting her to have a heart just because we know she's Asad and Zoya's daughter is expecting way too much from her. She wasn't raised by them. Perhaps she'll have a change of heart when she knows the truth.

Fact is, given her upbringing, she comes first in her life. She won't show remorse or even give a second thought to Sanam.

She will be redeemed, no doubt. I just hope they don't push it to such a point that it's going to be hard to pull back.

I wouldn't say she's heartless. Selfish? Yes. But that's to be expected, right?

She's never had to think about anyone else before. Her life has obviously been about survival of the fittest. If you didn't think of yourself first, no one was thee to think of you.

So her actions, although not justified, forms an integral part of her character - and dare I say it, brings the plight of street children to the fore.

👏

I never romanticised about her intentions. She is basically a good person, but she has had a bad upbringing and a bad situation. Her character has always broken my heart. I feel for her a lot. Therefore I don't judge her. We can't treat her as if she was brought up by Dilshaad or ASYA. She grew up as an orphan and was looked after by a con artist and a prostitute. So just like Aahil never had good people around him, so behaved badly, but is basically a good person, Seher is the same.

Totally, Mandy. I still think at least Aahil (although not true...), believed someone loved him. She hasn't had that.

Actually Aahil and Seher are very much the same. Both basically good, but were left to their own devices and were surrounded by people with bad intentions. My only hope is that Aahil's genuine nature will make Seher wonder about him and consider him as a person. Not just the son of her target, and husband of her lookalike. I hope she starts to feel for him as a fellow human being and feels bad for keeping the wife he loves so much away from him.

This is what I'm hoping for, too. But after watching how she makes fun of his armorous intentions towards his wife, I'd be surprised if that happens.

Seher IS ASYA's daughter at the end of the day. So she will have a conscience. It's just hard for her to show it right now, coz when she tried to leave her past behind, it came back to bite her. Just when she thought she may be able to have a normal life with a normal guy, that got snatched from her. A con women may be dangerous, but a con women with a broken heart is lethal. That is what Seher is right now!

Agreed. I keep saying that we'll see the whole "AsYa's daughter" thing when we have Seher. For now, she is Sunehri, and like you said... with all that she's just recently experienced, she's lethal.

Although, if my father is to be believed, then even the most lethal con woman is bound to crumble when in love. Rehan being in the same house, I feel, is going to add an entirely new dimension to Sunehri's behaviour.

Give her time!

Hear hear!

When you take someone's place, wouldn't your first instinct be to ask where she is? It could be a matter of life and death. Why would someone offer You a lot of money to take someone's place? She never once second thought it. When Rehan didn't recognize her, she was crying and asking God why Rehan wasn't recognizing her. But she never asked God where Sanaam is?

The point of my post. Sunehri wouldn't bother with asking all of this.
It's just not a part of what she's thee to do.

According to her, she's just doing a job. No questions asked.
The reason she asked God about Rehan is because she's inherently selfish. That's all.

Initially when she was told she had to take someone's place she hesitated. She said No. Then she was offered 1 crore? So she said yes. She is doing this for the money. The last time she let her conscience speak to her, she fell in love with her target and dreamt of a different life! That dream shattered. Now she only wants money to get on with her life and leave her past behind.

In such circumstances, I don't think it's realistic for us to expect that she will be obsessing about where Sanam is?? As for Rehan not recognising her?? Well she reacted as you would expect. She loves him, so everything he does or dosent do she takes personally?? I don't think it's that fantastic that she is not praying for Sanam's safety?? Like I said before... why would she pray for the safety of someone she dosent even know?? Is THAT consistent with the character of a con women??

Great, Mandy! Everything you said ;)

She wouldn't ask. Fact is, she doesn't care.
She's inherently selfish. Even when she asked God about Rehan... it was all about why he didn't recognise her.

I think she'll only start asking quesrions if the flashbacks continue, or things become much too heated with Aahil or Rehan, and she feels cornered. Then she might start raising questions with Razia.
For now, her eye is on the prize. Maybe even more so after what Rehan had to say about her.
