Chalo, at least now people can stop with putting the lesser screenspace on KVB's availability: Film he only said a month earlier he was in talks, and film promotions that apparently have been going on for a month though there have hardly been anything on media or social media.
The reason he is given less screenspace has to do with the PH itself. For this I believe it's a mixture of 1)they don't know exactly how to use Aahil at this point of the story, which is one which they are attempting to extend and 2) budget issues.
They could've given some time to Aahil to show his thought process after he broke that dreamhouse. They wanted to keep him fixing it up a "surprise," fine. But what about before that...what made him go back to the room and watch Sanam? So I feel they they are kind of at a loss and are not sure how to write these, AND the budget comes into factor.
As for the success of QH2. No doubt SaHil rose QH2. Kabristan till Nikkah week was mostly focused around them. However, it cannot be denied that that focus was based and tied around Tanveer and Rehan as well. Kabristan didn't just have SaHil. It truly started the story. It had full revelation of Tanveer, Rehan factored in too in both how he progressed SaHil as well as Tanveer's plan, and also in that he is part of that greater story--which is Tanveer's reckoning. I'm not even saying revenge, it's an easy word to use which I have done too. But the story per se is not about revenge right now. The story is really how all these things are happening and coming together within the framework of the backstory--and they will all eventually lead to Tanveer's downfall.
SaHil works, I believe no SaHil, then forget success of QH2. However one of the reasons they work is because of the framework around them...the circumstances surrounding them, the truth which the audience knows, the overall plot and backstory. Do I believe SaHil could've been focused on more, slowing down the progression of the bigger story. Yes. But...at the same time, SaHil have always progressed along with the main story. Though I do believe they could have given more focus and some more meaty scenes, as well as finishing many scenes better. .
Thing is, though. This reckoning of Tanveer, it doesn't just involve Sanam. It involves Aahil too. But as I said in my second paragraph, I think they are quite stuck about how to go about Aahil here.
ETA. Conversely I would also say the main story and plot would not work without Aahil and SaHil--no matter how less focus and screenspace is given. What makes that backstory appealing IS the the involvement of Aahil and SaHil.
