Ok finally I've gathered courage to make a post about this topic.. Curious to see what others have to say abou this. Dont bother me if my thoughts are all over the place.
Can anyone explain why exactly KVB is not given importance in QH? I dont get it, it's so perplexingđ.. I have never really watched QH1 so the main reason why I started watching QH was mainly for Saahil and nothing else. Gradually became a big fan of KVB and I just love to see him act onscreen.
But lately I feel the makers have completely neglected KVB/Aahil with the excuse of other parallel stories. Im just rewatching the beginning of QH2 when Aahil was given equal footage and importance as Sanam. Where did all that go?.. What happened?.. After they got married Saahil went all subdued. When they introduced QH2, it was shown that KVB and SJ were the leads of the show but I dont think that is the case anymore. For the past few weeks, all I see is other irrelevant tracks and Aahil is reduced to just romancing Sanam, etc
Even in the beginning Aahil had this spunk and edginess which I loved but now it is missing. I understand if the makers want to show the transformation of Aahil from the bad boy to the good boy but still there is just something missing from Aahil now.
Moving on to KVB, when i watched QH2 initially , i thought KVB isnt the usual "on your face" handsome guys but he really grew on me. The way he acts, his dialogue delivery, his accent etc.. is just on the spot. Because QH was not giving enough of KVB I went to watch his old shows and I was blown away by his actingđ... In Kasauti, he was the main lead and had a role similar to Aahil(I think) and then when I watch Saubagyavathi, I was completely floored!!... I mean the courage he had to take this 100% negative role and play it with ease. After watching a few scenes of Viraj's torture I actually had nightmares that he was abusing me!đ.. (The way he slapped her, tortured her, raped her, drank that cockroach inside the milkđ€ą and yes danced with a dead body) .
KVB was literally in every scene of the show. He was so convincing in his role!!
But now, when I compare QH, i feel so bad for him. The role he got is nothing compared to what he did in the past. I know he wanted to change his image from a bad boy to a romantic hero but unfortunately Indian Tv still stereotypes romantic heroes of just romancing their heroines and nothing else. Im starting to feel that he should have just sticked with being the bad guy since negative characters are the one who occupies the screen space. eg Tanveer.
Why cant we see more of Aahil's own life? Aahil and Rehaan's dynamic? Aahil and his sisters(what happened to them anywayđ) or even Lateef. As much as I love Saahil why is Aahil present only when Sanam is there. Why cant they utilise him fully? I dont know whether anyone notices, but when KV acts, his whole being acts. From his eyebrow to his fingers. He is THAT good.
I know QH2 is an extension of QH1 with asad zoya's daughters revenging their parents death etc but wasnt Aahil promoted of being part of the main story as well? What happened now ?If im not mistaken the trp of the show when Asya were killed was pretty low(correct me if Im wrong) but the new season of QH hiked up the trp and I would confidently say it was solely because of Sanam and Aahil's story. Then what is the relevance of the other parallel tracks with the main story? Haya, Faiz Raahat?.. What's their relevance?đ... and with the new addition of Sehaan. I dont know what to say about them. Initially Seher's character was really funny and provided the comedic relief but now she looks and behaves similarly to Sanam that it's really confusing. And not forgetting Sehaan's story seems to be an afterthought in my POV (sorry to say that)
Alot has been commented that Aahil doesnt have enough role in the show because KV is busy with his film's promotion but tell me do people promote their shows everyday? And besides if he actually did that he would have tweeted about it but so far there is nothing. It's obvious KVB is completely free and it's just the makers who are not utilising him well.
With all these thoughts, I just kept quiet thinking I was one of the few people thinking in such a way but when KVB said in his interview that he is just a prop in the show, I was pretty shocked it came from the horse's mouth. He might be joking but there is always a truth behind every jokes When the rumours were rife that he was leaving I was quite happy that atleast he will be doing something good and not just a mere object of the showđ...
Anyway this is my rant. I hope I did not say anything bad. Just really needed to voice out my thoughts. Really curious about what u guys have to say.
