ARTICLE:SJ to attend a concert in Guyana in october

Lead actress Surbhi Jyoti also referred to as "Zoya" of popular Indian TV Series "Qubool Hai" will grace Guyana with her presence in October for three big events through promoter Ram Jhoda under the RJ Films Brand.

The shows are set for October 10 at Canje, Berbice; October 11 at Everest Cricket Club ground, Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown; and October 12 at the Anna Regina Community Centre ground, Essequibo.

The actress is expected to perform several scenes from the TV series, "Qubool Hai" and will also perform a few dance pieces. She will also be accompanied by three big names in the music industry.

About Zoya

These are Chintan Bakiwala, a former contestant in the India reality show Indian Idol; Indian songstress Sangeeta Kopalkar and popular playback singer Shiaz Billo. General admission tickets cost $2000 while the VIP tickets will cost $5000 and more. Tickets are expected to be released shortly at various locations to be announced.

Jyoti is a popular face in Punjabi movies and Punjabi soap operas. She came into the limelight while playing the lead character role in Zee TV's soap opera "Qubool Hai" as Zoya Farooqui. Currently, she is portraying the role of Sanam in the same show.

The talented Surbhi was born on May 29, 1988 into a Punjabi-Brahmin family hailing from Jalandhar; the oldest city in the north-western India state of Punjab.

She is a talented theatre artiste and debater and has won the national debate thrice. After making a number of appearances in Punjabi movies, she was selected to play the character of Zoya in her television debut show "Qubool Hai" on Zee TV.

She has also worked in the Punjabi series "Kach Diyan Wanga". She starred in the popular Punjabi movies such as "Munde Patiale De" and "Raula Pai Gaya". Surbhi Jyoti has been the anchor for many shows, as well at the college level. On her role as Zoya Farooqui, Jyoti has said that she can relate to her character in real life.

Jyoti completed her schooling from Shiv Jyoti Public School and graduation from HMP (Hansraj Morarji Public College). Later, she pursued her MA in English from Apeejay College of Fine Arts.

The charming Surbhi is now seen as the co-host of TV show "Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya" on Zing TV. Jyoti hosts alongside popular singer Meiyang Chang.

Surbhi says she is afraid of lizards, and refers to herself as a bookworm who loves cooking.

Crying is a natural part of her personality; whether she is happy or sad, so she says she does not need glycerine for shooting emotional scenes of the show... tears come naturally. The only thing she hates about Mumbai is the traffic and admits that sometimes she is short-tempered.

She acted in the movie, "Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na" as Sona; "Raula Pai Gaya" as Reet; "Kach Diyan Wanga" as Preet Sehgal and was the lead female character in "Munde Patiale De".
