Brilliant. I've watched the entire first season and Seher is definitely not Zoya although she has her own charm. For me, at least. And also for me, I see no AsYa in SeHaan.

A thousand times yes about Sanam. I love her. She's no doormat. Even though she is not a joke-a-minute type of a gal, never found her dull or boring. SaHil is complete magic. Aahil's that rare hero who has figured out Sanam's no gold-digger without being shown proof. Abusive stereotype toh door ki baat. While today's episode was fine, I felt the screen actually lit up during the precap. They're that beautiful for me. Maybe it's pankhi talk but Surbhi glows as Sanam and KVB's hotness as Aahil is incomparable.

Yesh, total props to Surbhi that she can pull of the sweet calmness to Sanam and the hard edge to Seher. Of course, the characters will sometimes bleed into each other because the same person's playing them. But she's doing a superb job. I find Seher funny. It's just my personal preference is Sanam.

Bas, just gimme SaHil for half of the episode.

We can completely differentiate zoya, sanam and seher even with same faces...hats off to sj for potraying three characters soo differently
Coming to sahil and sehaan...i had to watch four of them together in one frame...then only i willl be able to judge..

Yes...hats off to the lead actress to show such minute finesse in playing three characters...intertwined yet distinct!! It is very difficult to grasp the nuances of each character...display some similarities and yet make sure they are unique in certain ways...
and just glad that you have an open mind ...I m working on keeping mine open too...sahil are my fav right now..never know if sehaan might grow on me too...always welcome!!

WORD!
Thank you so much for making this post. I'm also upset with people saying Seher is like Zoya and I have made a post earlier regarding this issue.
Seher is NOT like zoya. We didn't love Zoya just because she was modern and wore jeans. We loved Zoya for who she was. The way she stood up for herself and defended how a girl shouldn't be judged for her clothing and how she believed a girl has the right to decide her life and take her own decisions. We loved the way she always wore a smile on her face and showed herself to be strong even though she was a lonely girl who is in search of her father and enduring all the taunts and comments she received from people on her character and clothing. All these reasons and more made us love Zoya. We loved Zoya's character not her clothes. Just because Seher is wearing western clothes and loving pizza doesn't make her Zoya. She is supposed to be a fraud. Even though no one blames her for being a fraud because she was raised on the street and doesn't have a fault in anything. But if Zoya was alive then she would definitely be disturbed and sad at the haal of her daughter. In fact if we wanted to compare then Sanam has a lot from her mother more than Seher. Her caring side towards people. Hating to see people upset and her curiosity. Looking for ways to make people feel better like when she saw Ahil disturbed in his sleep and decided to find out what's bothering him. So Sanam shares many of the beautiful sides that her mother had. But again I wouldn't say Sanam is Zoya because she still isn't and has her own complete character.
And yes we should give credit to Surbhi for playing three characters and trying to differentiate them from one another. So it would be really unfair to waist all her effort by people saying Seher/Sanam are Zoya.
Regarding Rehaan and Seher. I really don't see any passion/chemistry/love between these two. They look more like friends or a brother-sister bond. Rehaan looks like a kid compared to Seher. Also I'm hating the flashbacks of Sanam that Rehaan is having every time he's lost in Seher.
Like is he finding the love of Sanam in her twin sister?😕 thinking about it disgusts me.
coming to SeHaan are like ASYA LOL
from what angle do they look the same. The passion/chemistry/ love that ASYA shared was MAGIC and SeHaan don't even share 1% of it.
Rehaan isn't like Asad in any way. Maybe only that he doesn't like to blabber much and is decent and helpful towards others. Other than that these two don't have anything in common. Rehaan is too weak. Even though he might be against his mom but he still doesn't take a stand and do something about it. Asad was a strong person. The way he used to stand up for his mother and sister Najma against his father and anyone who decides to hurt them was something that all of us admired.
So no comparison at all.
BTW Rehaan's fighting sequence was annoying. Sorry if I offend anyone but to me he looked like he was some little kid fighting. Even Gul Khan is trying to show SeHaan as ASYA with Rehaan fighting the goons, Seher punching the guy but no use until she gets slapped exactly what happened to her mother before, Rehaan yelling Sunehri like Asad yelling out Zoya. It's not working.
Gul Khan should just get her mind out of QH1 and start focusing on this QH2 and its story.

@BOLD
EXACTLY
and actually that's what's happening these days. We are barely getting any SaHil scenes almost all the focus is going towards SeHaan. Gul Khan should keep in mind the we are watching the show for SaHil and it's our right to see them get enough screen space.

Bang on post! 👏
Actually AsYa had chemistry compared to Sehaan 😆
Even though Sanam is more like Zoya, i love Sanam more. And Surbhi in this avatar with traditional clothes is just awesome.

WORD. To EVERYTHING you said. I have always maintained that Seher is nothing like Zoya. Yes her mannerisms and habits may be the same but as a character she is so different! People here like to glorify Seher on the superficial basis that she is like Zoya. Maybe yes on the surface. But we need to delve further into her character to arrive at that conclusion and so far we haven't got a proper introduction into her character to reach that conclusion.

Sanam and Seher are a reflection of their parents. Sanam being the more quiet and dignified one doesn't make her any more or less similar to Zoya.

Frankly people need to move past the concept of bubbly and OTT girl. It's a bit overdone now. Though there is no accounting for personal choice, but generally speaking audience still prefer that sorta character over strong and dignified Sanam. I personally think Sanam is a welcome change from the same old and I also like how Seher brings some comic relief though some of her antics and hysterics make me cringe like how she always thanks Bappa for being able to loot someone, especially street vendors and that dhaba owner. Made me quite annoyed.

All her antics are def glorified on the forum though including these cringeworthy ones and that's what really irks me.

Just saw how someone here said how we are jealous of SeHaan. Made me ROFL. How typical and can I just say I was missing such inane posts. LOL. Jealous of fictional characters? Give me a break! Seriously.

Also saw Sanam being called a doormat! Please elaborate on this part and explain to me how exactly Sanam is a doormat! In fact, she is anything BUT a doormat. Puhleez! Don't lose all your objectivity over some fictional couple...I have never seen any doormats giving right back ALL the time and also physically manhandling the "manhandler" according to you.

Why being so judgmental for Aahil's past? That's what he was like BEFORE he met Sanam, now he is anything but. Oh why am I even bothering explaining to someone with no objectivity at all...

About AsYa being compared to SeHaan. Bang on! Thank you so much for bringing this point out. Especially how Asad is being compared to spineless Rehaan! Like seriously? Asad would be turning in his grave...

I don't like SeHaan for the same exact reasons as you. The twins concept. Very icky and disturbing. At least for me. Not because Rehaan is Billi's kitten because kids shouldn't be punished for their parents misdeeds according to me...

Totally agree about the lack of chemistry too. I also think they look like siblings and have zilch chemistry. Said this even before SeHaan were paired and ever since Rehaan fell for Sanam.

AsYa were epic in their own way and comparison to SeHaan is insulting AsYa.

Thank you for this post, Eve.

Such an awesome response...made my post worthwhile. 😉
Yes...she might superficially, on the surface, remind you of Zoya but such comparisons in the end take away the flavor from both the characters. Zoya has now become a legend and lets give Seher a chance to carve a niche for herself. I am actually dying to see how the cvs and especially Surbhi shapes her, contours her, understands and enacts her. Looking at how unique Sanam is, I am super excited to see Seher taking shape from the writer's pen.I want justice to be done to each character...and calling Seher Zoya seems wrong on all fronts.
And yes, a few characters in this show seem to be very lax in the moral department. Be it Azhar, Khala, Khaalu, of course the Vamp Duo was always there, Rehaan and Sunehri too, which is a shame as these two seem to be the other lead couple. It does not sit well with me. And Gul better understand that from centuries, in the end the good wins...and the bad is defeated. Making heroes or heroines gray are fine, but in the end they have to redeem themselves, they have to reform and realize and work on their mistakes..then and then only does the audience connect and empathize. Ahil's transition from a dark place to lighter realms has been superb, lets hope that the cvs can and do show Sunehri's introduction to a sleeping conscience and Rehaan's realization of right and wrong.
About the jealous stuff, and rude responses...and those very special posts...lol..I love them. 😆They spice up our lives on the forum. In essence like Sunehri...wrong in principle...yet thoroughly enjoyable...!!😉
And Sanam being a doormat...err...just wondering what kind of door mats do these people really have, the ones that knock some sense into you every time open your mouth (seriously loved the initial sanam ahil days...she gave him such a hard time..lol) and whack you one every time you even think of stepping on them?? Err...such doormats available...will have to check amazon...😆???!!
And its such an insult..comparing Asad to Rehaan or Asya to Sehaan...let them be!! But different folks, different strokes.
About Sehaan...right now for me they don't click...let's see if Gul can wave her magic wand of romance and create chemistry where there is no science at all 😛!! I am ready and willing to give them a chance, but...sigh...they will have to work harder than ever before...and then too hope for some miracles😃😉...
