Zoya's phone rang the very minute and she happily received it. Though her expressions soon changed from being elated to horror, making Asad bit his lips, feeling the pangs of blue. He very well knew who had called and also the reason behind it. But by studying Zoya's expressions he also knew she was unable to respond to the truth that was forcefully dawned upon her. He shut his laptop down and went to sit beside her while she still talked on the phone. Her eyes did leak, moistening her fluffy cheeks as the incredulous look of disbelief surpassed the happiness that she actually felt.

Asad gathered her hand that lay on her lap and squeezed it. She looked at him and acknowledged that she was fine before she wished best and ended the call up.

"You fine?" Asad implored, as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"Yes.. I am!" She said, looking at him forcing a smile.

"Are you certain? There's no need----"

"I am, yes it had been a kind of a thunder bolt crashing on my head but it was supposed to be so." Zoya replied earnestly. "But it would be wrong that I am not upset. I didn't expect you to hide such a big thing from me.."

p.s. Updating a preview prior to the update cause you guys need to recall about my existence and this story ofc 😃, which is going to get updated approximately after 6 whole months 😲 wait! SERIOUSLY I WAS AWAY FOR SUCH A LONG TIME? 😲

Anyway now that I am back , take partially😆, I'll update soon, maybe tomorrow, better to say after I have an idea of how many of you are still following me! 😳
