Aahil's anger and accusations has made Sanam acutely aware of every single thing she does not deserve as the cook of the house. What with others calling her Kambakhat and Mohterma duffer in front of everyone.
This time NO one speaks for her. Aahil fails yet again, Rehan has retreated into mute mode. How sickening is it that Tanveer is the one to take them to task, and put a stop to their cattiness (pun intended).
It was so uncomfortable to watch Sanam hesitantly do all the things expected of a new bride. At each step she searches Aahil's eyes, Are you angry? I don't want to do all this, believe me!! I'm not doing all this for money!
Aahil stares back irritatedly, his stance non committal. You made this bed Sanam, so you sleep in it. Sanam reluctantly accepts new clothes from Tanveer so she would look like a Chote Begum.
"People of standing are judged by their attire. You must dress as a Chote Begum ...'
Dejavu hits me. Sanam's mother Zoya was very much the antithesis of this. Yeh meri kapde hai, meri character nahin !!'
Sanam was lovely today. SO beautiful. Aahil took a moment's respite from his melancholy to appreciate how lovely his new wife looked. His stared at her as though seeing her for the first time. Sanam stood so uncomfortably, waiting to be called out as an impostor.
Let me appreciate Aahil here for a moment. He fell for her when she was at her worst: Soaking wet in the pool, clutching at him; ranting in a rage at him; unconscious and unwell holding on to him for support. He fell in love with her then, before she became this gorgeous creature before him. He loves her for her character and her guts, not for her looks, neither is it pure lust.
They feed the poor as a new couple, and ask the blessings from the poor. Everyone blesses them happiness and love for always causing discomfort all around.
She looked very afraid to feed Aahil that date. What when he was looking at her so intently. Man, Aahil's eyes interfered with my heart rhythm also. I swear his stare when he fed her that date made me hyperventilate (now that felt like lust right there! *gasp!* Aahil! Being Ramadan and all!)...tch tch
Rehan is a glutton for punishment i think. It's too painful m'boy! Get out of there! Your anguish is killing me! Sanam is looking at him and wondering why her friend is so distant now. She has no one else who knows how this is affecting her. Rehan has retreated completely, leaving her to fend for herself.
No one remembered Aahil's birthday. He sulks silently, as Rehan avoids him and his mother going on and on about the wedding. I see a cake is in the picture, and Aahil finds it's only Sanam who remembers his birthday.
Sanam is stuck in this contract, but she seems to want to do the right, proper thing. She still cooks for the family, and takes care of her grouchy temporary husband. That's her respect for the woman who helped save her Badi Ammi.
Let's see how Aahil pretends to be a loving husband, for the lawyer's benefit?More Junoon please !!!
