I think its not the in laws...its the power struggle...the desire to not let go..and let someone do wat they want...not all are like that..but most of the times..indian mothers..are too attached to their sons..more so than their husbands..and wen they see their son slipping away...they'll do all the crazy things to retain them and keep them from leaving the nest😕

When he notices my MIL saying something he tries to make her stop.. whether it works or not.. I want him to be aware of what happens to me..

I would hate it if he would sway to what his parents say and also if I would say something.. though I would never lie.. I prefer him to think on his own.. knowing all of us.. he should come to a solution on his own..

True.. In my case they aren't attached too much to their son.. It's just showing their right on him and the house.. I was never allowed to cook as she was never used to doing anything other than that.. For freaking 6 - 7 months I never had breakfast.. when I was used to eating 5 times a day in small portions...

I freaking caught viral which I never had till then.. after that my mom said if you don't take care and stand for yourself no one can... after that I slowly started telling my hubby that Why not I prepare breakfast.. she used to be that vessel is for that type of dish or this.. urgh..

Atleast if I have a son in future.. I know what kinda MIL i shouldn't be like.. 😡
