Regarding Asad's behavior - Remember, he heard Rashid and Dilshaad talking about Ayaan and Zoya outside his apartment? He has already been observing the effect Ayaan has on Zoya. He thinks that Zoya tried to pair him up with Humeira. Ab itne saare galat signals milenge to bechara galat hi sochega naa?

Asad just knows how to deal with people and still never resorting to any mean tricks.

Asad's weird behavior in the end - he is reading things wrong about Ayaan and Zoya. Ayaan has always been a sore point, even before he came in their life. Asad feels something. Best friend to hain hi, which makes him show his feelings but the next moment he thinks about Ayaan and Zoya and pulls back. Zoya ke paagalpan ne achhe-bhale insaan ko Yo-Yo bana diya hain.
