Chapter 17

Zoya was just leaving her house to go to the college to go get her textbook which she forogt in the college canteen. In the rush and panic of things she forogt to take her cell phone with her.

She had gotten a taxi at that time because she didnt want to disturb her mom at that time.

Zoya while in the taxi was thinking only about Asad and how she has fallen so hard for him out of all guys she has met.

Zoya was finally at the college and was about to go into the college when she smelt soemthing really weird.

She had smelt Alchool becuase there was so much alchol at the party that the smell was so pungent that it could be smelt from outside the college.

Zoya thought something was wrong so she went inside the college . She walked around trying to find the cause of the alchol and after a while of searcign she gave up and went to the canteen to get her book which she forgot.

When she got outside the canteen she saw her book on the floor and picked it up but she heard loud music and people talking from inside the canteen.

She opened the canteen door and what saw her made her eyes pop out.

She saw Tanveer sitting on Asad's lap and what she heard after that was much worse then seeing him with Tanveer on his lap.

Zayd: Asad think remember the first day Zoya came to college and she ignored you and you made the bet sayign she would make her fall for you due to your charms and use her like all the other girls you have in the college remember??? ( Note: Zayd made up his own thing at the end about Asad using Zoya.)

Asad to drunk said: hmmm

Zayd: So Asad did you win the bet???

Asad: Yesss... I did... Zoya... Zoya is my... Is my girlfriend. She is mine now.

Zayd: I knew it you finally one and made her fall for you like you do with every other girl in the college congrats.

Tanveer: But Asad baby you are mine not that Zoya's.

Asad: Zoya... Zoya is only mine.

Tanveer: But babe you won the bet proved your point of getting her to fall for your charms like everyone now end it like you do with all your other bets you have done.

Zoya's thoughts: This was all a lie? Asad never actully loved me he only played with my feelings. He toyed with me just to win a stupid bet. Why Asad Why? Why did you do this. For the first time in my life I actully fell for someone who I knew was wrong but still fell for him thinking how he looks itsnt actully how he is. But what my first thought was right about him he is a playboy who uses girl just for his fun. Ya allah why did I fall for him why?!?!

Zoya by this time was crying badly and she dropped the textbook she had in her hands alerting everyone at the party of her presence.

And what she heard was

Asad: Zoya

Zoya could not even stand his presence at that point she could not even look at his face and ran out of the canteen and went outside.

Asad was still half drunk not realizing what had just happened but all he saw was his Zoya in tears crying and running away from him.

He immedatly sat up making Tanveer fall to the floor and he didnt even care and sprinted outside to talk to Zoya. He was wobbling thanks to the effect of the alchol.

When he got outside he saw that Zoya was getting into a taxi and he ran behind it screaming ZOYA!

But she did not even look back at him and drove off leaving him at college not even glanicing at him.

Asad didnt udnerstand what to do becuase he couldnt drive heck he could barely walk staright but he had to get to Zoya one way or the other.

Zayd in the mean time came outisde to see Asad contemplating on what to do and saw him goign towards his bike but even though Zayd was the cause of Asad's pain he couldnt see him getting killed.

He went up to him and stopped him from getting on the bike and what he saw was a broken Asad crying his heart out for Zoya.

Zayd felt guilty for a minute because he knew the reason Asad was crying was because of him but immediatly masked it.

Zayd: Asad

Asad was sobbing: ZOYA!!! Zayd please I beg you take me to Zoya!! Please I need to see her! Did you see her? She was crying becuase of me only because of me! Please... Please take.. take me to her... Please.. Zoya

Asad had passed out this point saying only Zoya's name due to the alchol and what Zayd saw was his best friend crying bescause of him but what surprsied Zayd was that he wa actully feeling guilty for being the cause of this.

He took hold of Asad in his arms and dragged him to his car and drove him bac home.

~KHAN VILLA~

Najma was pacing up and down the house feeling something was not right becuase it was already 1am and event though Asad said he would be late he was always home before midnight. She tried to call him but he wouldnt pick and Najma didnt know what to do at that point. She was scared .

While she was pacing up and down she heard the doorbell ring and that freightned her thinking who it could be at this time. And she ended up picking up a glass vase she saw and opened the door and what she saw broke her heart and she had dropped the vase on the ground.

She saw Asad drunk and crying and she heard him murming Zoya Zoya the whole time. And thats when she heard

Zayd: Hey Najma Asad is uhhh drunk and I need to put him in his room so...

Najma: Come in

Najma hates Zayd she just hated him since Asad and him joined college togather and his group of friends.

Zayd had put Asad in his bed and even though in a drunken state all he said was Zoya over and over again.

After he put him down Najma came running up to him and sat beside Asad patting his head and gave a deathly glare to Zayd questioning him with her eyes what heappened

Zayd: Woh Asad got really drunk and... and...

Najma: WHAT!!! First of all how the hell did he get drunk he never drinks this is becuase of you I knew you were not good for Asad

Zayd looked down guilty

Zayd: We uhhh we got him drunk and and

Najma: AND!!!!

Zayd: and he is not in his senses. I have to go its getting late. Tell Asad to take care and I will see him tomorrow.

Najma: Zayd get your stupid face out of my house before I throw something at your face and I promise I wont hesitate either to call the police to get you out of the house as well!!!

Zayd didnt say anything any left there because if he said anythign he knew Najma would beat him black and blue.

Najma was sitting by Asad seeing his tear stricken face broke her heart. She hasent seen him so broken since her childhood.

Najma was confused why Asad kept saying Zoya the whole time and she ended up wipping his head and putting his blanket on him and left his room heart broken on seeing her only brother looking so heart broken and thouht to talk to him about it tomorrow.

~FAROOQUI HOUSE~

Zoya finally reached home still having tears running down her face non stop. She had never thought that Asad would ever do that. She knew he had a casonava image but thought he wasnt like this but what she heard him say she broke.

She entered her house sneakily making sure her mom doesnt wake up. She ran into her room and closed the door and once inside her room she broke down fully. She sobbed and sobbed only saying Why Asad Why!!!

She didnt know what to do she kept thinking of all her moments she had shared with Asad and how she told him about her parents, how she opened up to him, and trusted him with her heart which she never did with anyone.

She then saw her phone blink

Zoya wipped her tears and went up to her phone and what she saw broke her heart more

It was Asad's message to Zoya Hey Zoya I miss you so much I didnt get to say bye to you after college. Please make sure you take some rest and take the pain killers it has only been a day since we have been back so please take care of yourself. See you tomorrow love you byeee <3 ;)

She smiled looking at the message but that was soon repleaced with hurt and dispair thinking it was all fake and a way for him to make her fall for her trap. She threw her phone and went up to her bed and burried her face into her pillow and cried and cried until there were no tears left in her to cry out. She fell asleep around 4am tiered of crying.

~NEXT DAY KHAN VILLA~

Asad woke up with a huge head ache. He was still in his clothes from last night and he smelt alchol from his clothes.

He didnt remember what happened last night. He remebered having coke which Zayd had gave him and it tasted really weird and then he remebered Zoya's face crying and her running away from him and him yelling at her to come back but she left. And the he didnt remember what happened.

Asad: NO !!! ZOYA!!! What have I done I hurt Zoya so much I broke her heart which I never meant to do. She must be so heart broken all becuase of me. She has tears in her eyes because of me becuase I am stupid and hurt the only girl I ever fell in love with. What must she be thinking about me. Why didnt I tell her about that stupid bet before and told her that the bet meant nothing and I actually love her from my heart. What have I done! ZOYA!!!

Asad started to cry once again thinking of what he had done and then he went and got his phone and saw if Zoya messaged him at all since last night.

She didnt and it broke his heart. He then immeaditly called her and it kept rining but she never picked up her phone. He kept calling and then she ended up turning her phone off and he was met with her voicemail.

Asad threw his phone in frustration and burried his face in his hands and sobbed thinking the only girl who saw him for what he was not his money his looks or his populartiy but what he was he had lost her by his own stupidty.

Asad: ZOYA!!! I AM SORRY!! I am so sorry

He kept chanting that and this is what Najma saw when she entered his room with breakfast and some pain killers.

Najma put the tray down and walked up to Asad and put her hand on his shoulder which brought Asad out of his trance and tried to wipe his tears so that Najma doesnt see him sad but Najma was afterall his sister and saw right threw him and engulfed him in a huge hug.

Asad was to broken and hugged his sister back and cried on her shoulder while Najma was trying to stop him from crying but he wouldnt stop crying at all. Najma had tears in her own eyes seeing her brother in this state and she didnt know why but she knew not to push him any further.

Asad: I lost her Najma... I lost her

Najma didnt know what he was talking about but she thought it had to do something with Zoya becuase that all he would say last night and all she knew was that Zoya had taken over her brothers heart and she knew this becuase even without knowing clearly becuase

she had seen Asad and Zoya that day in the canteen togather.

Najma had known all along what was brewing between Asad and Zoya and she was very happy becuase Zoya had imapcted her brothers life so much that all he thought was about her but could easily cover it up by saying it was nothing but she knew her brother to well.

She didnt know what happened but she kenw she cant push Asad and more becuase he was already broken and would wait until Asad or Zoya would tell her about them and what had happended but her sixth sense knew Zayd had done something the way he looked guilty there was something which he was hidding and she being Asad's sister would not let him hurt her brother at all.

Najma had noticed that Asad sobs had ceased and she realized that he had actully fallen asleep being tiered of crying. She lied him back on the bed and let him sleep. She patted his head and got up from the bed and left the room looking at her brother and sent a prayer for her brother and for his happiness to return to him.

~ FAROOUQI HOUSE~

Zoya had woken up only 2 hours after falling asleep due to her phone keep riniging. Zoya was to tiered for from crying and took her phone which was on the floor and saw that Asad was calling her. She started to cry again seeing his name and ignroed his phone. He kept calling her phone and her sobs only increased with each phone call and in anger she turned her phone off and kept crying more and more.

She went to the bathroom to freshen up becuase she knew if her mom saw her like this she would be worried and stressed and she did not want her mom to worry at all.

When she looked in the mirror she saw a heart broken girl with huge dark circles, eyes red, pale skin, her mascara had runned from last night. Looking at herself Zoya started to cry again not becuase of the way she looked becuase she let Asad effect her so much that her heart was hurting as if it was torn apart in half like a piece of paper and she couldnt make it hurt any less.

She ended up freshining up, putting on loads of concelar to hide her dark circles and put on her fake smile and head out to the kitchen to see her mom making breakfast.

Zeenat: Good morning Zoya

Zoya: Morning mom

Zeeant sensed something was off with Zoya

Zeenat: Beta are you ok you dont seem ok

Zoya: Mom I am fine what would be wrong with me

She said with a smile

Zeenat could read her daughter in and out but she knew not to push Zoya to much so she just left the issue for then.

Zoya left from there because she knew her mom would catch her if she kept talking so she walked up to the sitting area and turend on the TV changing channals not really intrested in anything until something caught her eye.

BREAKING NEWS: ST. MARTINS COLLEGE HAS BEEN BURNT DOWN

Zoya's eyes almost came out of her eye sockets for the second time in the last 24 hours.

Zoya kept watching the news and saw that her old college has been burnt down and there is nothing left of her college.

Zoya thought about her friends. She was panicking thinking what had happened and was about to run to her room to grab her phone when she was 2 of her firends on the tv

Arnav had a unconsious Kushi in his arms walking out of the college.

Zoya fell back onto the sofa seeing her best friend in that condition and Arnav covered in ruble she was about to pass out when she heard that eveyone from the college was ok and no one was severly damaged. She fianlly breathed out and that is when she ran into her room and got her phone and turned it on and what she first saw was 20 missed calls from Asad 10 text messages and 5 voicemails all from Asad. She had tears again thinking of his betral but then she pushed that feeling back in her heart because she didnt want to think about him at that time and that is when she saw that she had 10 missed calls from Armaan and 30 texts from Ayaan, Humeira, Rids, Sid, and Armaan.

She immedaitly called Armaan back and he picked up instantly

Armaan: Hey Zoya before you freak out breathe first and be quiet and listen to me.

We all are ok. No one is hurt. Kushi had inhalled in some smoke but she was given oxygen and first aid. Aranv is ok as well. We all are ok and we are all actully togather thinking how you would be reacting. And also we have a really good news. Becasue the college is now ruble we all will be transfered to Excell with you.

Zoya finally breathed hearing that everyone was ok. She was so happy hearing her friends will be coming to her college now and she needs them the most at this time.

Zoya: WHAT!! You guys are coming here??? I am so happy when do you guys join? How long are you going to be here? Where is everyone else? I want to talk to everyone and Kushi is she fully ok can she talk ?

Armaan he was laughing along with everyone else

Armaan: Zoya calm down we all will answer your questions. Everyone is with me we are at the coffee shop were we always go to.

Zoya: You are at the coffee shop you all dont move a inch from there I am coming there right now to see you guys.

Armaan: But Zee what about your college you have to go to college

Zoyas heart achede thinking of going back to college and facing Asad because she was not ready to face him and all his words ran throguh her mind again she kept pushing them back as to not show them but she knew she was close to exploding but she pushed it back and decided not to go to college today and spend the day with her friends.

Zoya: Its fine one day wont hurt to take off espically after what happened last night and this morning I need the break

Armaan: What happened last night???

Zoya: Nothing yaar just... uhhh. Loads of studying thats it. Not stop being a detecitve and wait there I am coming give me 30 minutes.

Armaan: K Bye we all are waiting and please dont break any traffic laws to get here fast like you always do I promise none of will even breathe until you come here

Zoya: haha very funny. Shut up I will be there bye.

~ Khan villa~

Asad had woken up after sleeping again. Asad went and checked his phone and tried to call her and this time it did ring but as expected she didnt pick up the phone. Asad didnt know what to do to prove his love for Zoya at that point but all he knew was he had to see her then and there. He immediatly got up from his bed and changed and washed his face which was covered in his dry tears.

He went downstairs and saw a note from Najma saying she was going to college and didnt want to disturb he and left.

Asad picked up his bike keys and got on his bike and headed towards college thinking he will see Zoya but unforenteltly he would be in for another surprise.

~ Coffee Shop~

Zoya was dressed in jeans and a floweral top. She was wearing minimal make up her hair was let down so she could sheild her eyes from others so they dont see her redness and also she was wearing her sunglasses looking nothing like she usually did at college.

Once sher reached there she went into the coffee shop she hadnt been here since her last day of her old college she had missed it. Once she entered everyone recognized her becuase she and her friends were frequnet customers there. She said hi and then she went to her usual seat where all her friends were waiting for her. It had been since forever since she last saw them.

They all got up and hugged her in a bear hug she stumbled back becuase she did have 7 people hugging her as if there life depended on it. She got teary eye looking at them and thinking of how her realtionship with Asad went downhill not even before it could fully start. She kept thinking of Asad but avoided it becuase she could not afford to let anyone of her friends find out because if they did they would not leave Asad and she even though what he did she could not see him hurt at all so she hid it deep down in her heart.

Zoya: Guys I cant breathe please let me go

All of them laughed and let her go.

Kushi: Zoya I missed you so much

Ridz: Hey So did I

Humeria: Me to

Sid: How could u forgot me you selfish people

Arnav: I missed my sister the most so suck it up

Armaan: ENOUGH!!!

They all stopped at hearing Armaan yell and they looked at him

He got up and hugged Zoya

Armaan: I missed my Zee the most so you all shut up becuase you guys are second and I will as always reamin number 1

Zoya got out of his grip and started to laugh along with everyone

They all sat back down with Zoya sitting in between Armaan and Kushi

Zoya: Kush are you ok I mean how did this all happen I mean our college

Kushi: We dont know what really happen but maybe a pipe burst or something and this all happened but I am just thankful Arnav was there to save me.

They were in a eye lock while others were laughing at them when

Armaan coughs: Well you guys do know there are more people here and if you would like to stare at eachother then get a room

Arnav and Kushi gave him a glare and he put his hands up in defeat.

They all talked for a little while catching up on old times and laughing but one thing which was missing was Zoya.

Even though Zoya was physiclly there laughing her mind and heart were only in one place which was Asad. She kept trying hard not to think of him but everytime she thought to ignore it her heart kept pushing her more and more and all she kept thinking of was Asad's word which was all she was hearing and the image of Tanveer in very short clothes sitting on Asad's lap.

She was brought out of her trance by Armaan

Armaan: Zee where are you and where is the pretty mind of yours?

Zoya: No where..

Armaan: Anyways I cant wait to join your college right guys it will be so fun.

Humeira: Yes I am so excited how is it are the people nice there and how are your group of friends I am sure you made new ones.

Sid: Forogt about that how are the girls there?

Ridhima slapped him on his chest and turned and wasnt facing him but Sid just started to laugh at her.

Zoya: First of all the college is amazing I had met some amazing people there (thinking of Najma) but there are also some people who you dont want to trust what the look like outside is what they are dont think they are anything else to them and then we have a witch at our school her name is Tanveer stay away from her

Armaan: Zoya did something happen I mean dont trust-

Zoya: No No I mean like You know just be careful to trust some people there

Arnav: No need to worry about that now becuase we all will be there togather again just like in college along with the rest of our college.

Zoya: I am so happy for that and how could I forgot you guys you guys are the most special part in my life and Sid the girls you will find out when you get there if you survive from Ridz attack

Ridz: See Zoya this guy doesnt stop flirting even when I tell him to

Sid: But I flirt less then Armaan now dont I

Armaan: Haha very funny what can I do the girls love me its a gift you know. Zoya how is the football team I am defiantly joining I dont know what will happen becuase our college is gone what about all our teams like footbal soccor basketball and everything else?

Zoya: I dont know I guess they will decide what to do then

Kushi: Zoya I really missed you on the team but now that you are back we can fianlly get back to what we love to do and that to togather I hated not having my best friend with my at practice.

Zoya: Kush I know lets see what happens becuase I did not join the team here becuase I came in the middle =and I didnt really fit in but-

Kushi: I dont care now that we will be togather you are joining regardless you are the best captin we ever had and everyone missed you so much that we didnt even get another captin at that point and coach just was leading everything plus everyone else missed you to (She winked at her)

Zoya: Shut up Kush, anyways when is your first day at Excell?

Ayaan: Tomorrow do you really think they would give us a day off. We ar starting tomorrow

Humeira: Yea and thankfully it isnt that far from our houses

Armaan: Exactly and we all are going to school tomorrow like usual. We will pick you up to go to college tomorrow I cant wait tomorrow it will be like old times.

Kushi: Exactly it will be so fun are group will again be complte

Zoya: But guys-

Armaan: Shut up Zee we are picking you up tomorrow I am not goign to convince you again like I did when we started to go togather all of us from college it took my forver to get you to agree

Arnav: Excuse me beta it wasnt only you we all helped so dont take all our credit

Armaan: Yes Dad I wont

Armaan: Anyways we will be picking you up tomorrow and please dont take to long to get ready

Zoya: I dont take long

Armaan: No you dont just we are always a hour late to college and that is becuase we all are waiting for you to come down stair no never we are never late

Zoya: Armaan!!!

Arnav: Before you both start WW3 here lets go drop Zoya off so we all can go home at get ready for tomorrow becuase as we all know Zoya will be going home thinking of what clothes to wear what make up to use what jewlary and the list goes on.

Zoya: Arnav u to fine I am not going to talk to either of you now

Zoya: Sid could you please take me home I refuse to go with them

Sid: See (talking to Arnav and Armaan) She even wants to go with me and not you both hahaaha. Lets-

Armaan: O hell no! Zee we all are going togather meaning all of us. I am sorry promise wont irratate you

Zoya didnt say anything

Armaan: Please... Fine then

HE gets onto the table with Arnav and screamed I am sorry Zoya while Zoya looked away embarassed

Zoya: Both of you please come down now

Arnav: Not until you forgive us

Zoya: Fine but come down you both now

They both came down and all of them left the coffee shop togather just like old times.

~College~

Asad reached the college and saw as usual his gang was waiting there but then he saw that Zayd was not himself and was looking down where as Tanveer was smirking a little to much looking at him. He ignroed them when the called him and started to run around the college looking for Zoya.

He went into all the classes and almost ran over the principal but at that point all he was worried was looking for Zoya.

He turend the whole college upside down and he ended up going to the canteen and saw Najma and her friends sitting togather and Zoya usually sits with them and he went up to them.

Najma saw her brother coming up to them and as his sister she was obviously worried for him since yesterday

Najma: Hey Asad how are you doing now

Asad: I am fine... Have any of you heard or seen Zoya today?

Najma: No she didnt come to college today. She called saying she didnt feel really good and had some stuff to do so she stayed home. Why is everything ok?

Asad to (himself): Nothing is ok I wish I could tell you Najma but I cant you dont even know that I am in love with Zoya and I am lossing her becuase of my own stupidity

Asad: No its fine I have to go bye Najma

Najma: Bye

Asad ended up leaving college without once talking to any of his gang and avoided them and left. He didnt know what to do. He was thinking of going to her house but he didnt want to hurt her anymore then she was. Asad ended up going home and went up to his room and started to sob once again.

Asad ended up checking his phone over and over again to see if Zoya tried to call or text him and there was nothing.

He ended up calling again and it was disconected so he called again and again

~In the car~

Armaan: Zoya your phone keeps ringing please pick it up yaar I think it must be important

Zoya: No its ok

Zoya disconected the phone again and was praying he wouldnt call again becuase she could already feel the tears coming in her eyes again.

Her phone ringed again

Sid: Zoya please pick up the phone that person really needs to talk to you they keep calling over and over again.

Zoya was about to burst out crying so she put on her sunglasses and sighed and picked up the phone but didnt say anything while her heartbeat was racing at the speed of a nascar racer when she heard...
