Hey lovely post. 🤗 Couldn't agree more. Aahil Raza Ibrahim is the most vulnerable of all the Gul's previous male protagonists. He is portrayed as a charming, snarky person who takes pleasure in sleeping around...who knows money is the only solution to every problem. When he's had it, he has had it. His mother has been the object of his devotion since childhood. But then he has a self-made wall around him. And deep inside you can see the little boy struggling with his emotions. And I agree with Annie. 😊 You can connect with him so easily, more than any other male leads. More realistic and more human. And if you turn this complicated person inside out you'll find a gentle boy who longs for the true love and support. Who's a tough guy with a gentle heart. 😊 😊

Well, my dearest QH soul sister, as usual a very well written post.
I agree with some points and disagree with some.
Aahil is not a weak hero per say, He is like all other heroes a flawed hero. His flaws are more visible at this point in time but his circumstances were entirely different than others. His Ammi is his weakness, the other's had positive weaknesses his Ammi is evil personified. And yes no doubt He is an interesting HERO. I made a separate post on his circumstances and how they molded him.
And 🤗🤗

I am reading and haven't finished but I would like to disagree somewhat here.

Continuing the comparison with Gul's other heroes...Arnav ans Asad were fiercely protective of their siblings. Arnav knew Anjali well, and her happiness was of prime importance to him. Asad might have laid down the rules for his sister, but he was wiling to sacrifice his happiness for that of his siblings..(I do hope we will not get into a debate over these two characters...)..Aahil does not get his sister at all...and he has double standards for the women in his family. He expects tehzeeb and tameez from them, while setting such a bad example before them. He does not even hesitate to bring women to his room...as he had clearly expected Sanam to have been one amoing them.😲

I agree that he has double standards as his sister pointed out. But, it's not to the extent that he doesn't allow his sister to do anything. He commented on the top, but then said he will buy her the same top. He got the hint of a certain guy, asked who and didn't question further when she didn't answer.

Yes, he does have the double standards, but it's not in such a way that he restricts his sister's activities and preaches about tehzeeb and tameez to her.

And if they show him to be a complete chauvanist, double-standard a-hole, I don't know if I would be able to enjoy the show. In short, without going into detail, one of the things that grab me about QH 2 is how the overall setting and characters are etched. Surprisingly enough, there's a pleasant lack of moralizing and bhashans here. Even by Sanam, the way she reacts to Aahil's playboy nature (I don't mean his behavior with her, but rather with other women) is a pleasant surprise and refreshing.

Shazia is now the "mean" sister towards Sanam, and that's okay. But I hope she doesn't become a vamp or negative--confirming a stereotype. Same goes for Aahil's attitude and behavior towards Shazia's lifestyle. Yeah a brotherly comment (which yes is a double standard) on a top and wanting to know about a boyfriend is fine. But i hope he is not shown going bonkers and having outrageous reactions and attitude when it comes to her.

Regarding Aahil Raza Ibrahim. I have to say, despite the one issue I had early on, he is a far better hero for me than all of Gul's other heroes. (That is so far. It's early. Chances are good that something will happen for me to take it back and put him in the same category as others.)
His faults are his faults. There is no whitewashing of him, no halo around him. He insults the heroine, yes. But his insults are acknowledged as insults by the show and characters. I could point fingers at every other one and how their treatment of the heroine was brushed over and never given the apt and correct jawaab by the heroine.

So far, Aahil-Sanam is treading a different path than of the other pairings.

Agreed..Aahil is someone who is very different from the other heroes..
He is a womanizer, arrogant, and spoilt brat..and the same time he has a golden heart who can't resist betrayal.
He is a self made man,who believes what he does is always right and give a damn to other's opinion..at the same time he cares for his family..
He loves his family,Family comes first for him and then money..
so I conclude that he is a mixture of so many qualities

Soup Soup Soup!!! You know I looove you😳. What a post, a much needed one👏. As I said before Aahil is very much different than Gul's past heroes. He is more like Christian Grey😆. He is not a self made man like ASR or Asad. And both of them have no such qualities like sleeping with different women😆 Only the arrogance is there😳. And the dori scene...it's beautiful not in the sense "romantic" but a well thought and well executed scene😛. Aahil's eagerness and a strange connection he was feeling towards Sanam and Sanam's helpless ness and embarrassment was beautifully portrayed by both of the actors, and in that sense it was a beautiful scene👏
And the face to face scene was epic. Loved it.
Most of all I loved your post I loved how you analyzed the two episodes👏.
Love you 😊
