Regarding Aahil Raza Ibrahim. I have to say, despite the one issue I had early on, he is a far better hero for me than all of Gul's other heroes. (That is so far. It's early. Chances are good that something will happen for me to take it back and put him in the same category as others.)
His faults are his faults. There is no whitewashing of him, no halo around him. He insults the heroine, yes. But his insults are acknowledged as insults by the show and characters. I could point fingers at every other one and how their treatment of the heroine was brushed over and never given the apt and correct jawaab by the heroine. So far, Aahil-Sanam is treading a different path than of the other pairings.
i did not understans why de play det " junoon ishaq" song in det shameful dori scene , det was clearly a sham full , embarrassing , humiliating situation for any girl n i accepted a slap there for hero from actress , she was disgusted wid det action , so y gul try to romanticize det awkward , wrong scene
y to play a love music there as something so lovely n beautifull is happening there ? khuch bhi
Sanam was right.Ahil has material riches but is poor in terms of upbringing.what can you expect of a person raised by billi?Ahil is eccentric and confused. He has double standards. He loves to see his gf's in less of clothes but objects to shazia's top.He blindly follows billi's orders .Asad respected his mom but did'nt follow her when he was'nt convinced.Ahil is not able to see through khala and khalu who are bleedind him dry.He is not intelligent. It is strange thet a person who cracks deals worth crores is not able to read people.Ahil thinks money is the answer to everything. He throws money left, right and centre. He sense of right and wrong seem strange. He gifts a truck to a stranger but has no hesitation in burning a poor girl's source of livelihod. It is bcoz of his upbringing. He had an abusive dad and a mom whois using him.He does'nt respect women except his mother. He is arrogant and thinks he's right. He roars but becomes a bheegi billi in front of tanveerOriginally posted by: chicksoup
😳Actually, this post has been inspired by some of the responses to my post on thurs episode- The Adventure and Misadventure'- which had been named that precisely because the dori scene was an adventure for Aahil, while it was a misadventure for Sanam. I came across few points about the inappropriateness of junoon' in that scene...I guess much has been written about it, and I might just be repeating what many have felt...but I come to the the forum...and frankly, all I usually find is FFs..not complaining...just that I feel lost on what discussion goes around in the forum, since I am not as active as before...
So please bear with my take...😃😆
I genuinely feel Aahil is a weak hero.😊
1. He believes he committed a murder and let someone else take the blame for it. It could be argued that he was a child...still, the act haunts him to this day, and makes him a willing slave to the woman who has used him in the past and will continue to do so. Rightly, someone pointed out that he is the Rashid of QH 2.👏..and indeed, it is so. He bears his gulit to such an extent that it gives him nightmares - all the same, it is a dirty secret he can never share with any one.
So, just as Rashid was not attributed any heroic qualities, Aahil should be treated the same. The only difference here is that he has not cheated on two women...nor neglected his family. That bit is very clear to us. Aahil sleeps around with women, but they all know what he is and are attracted to him. He makes no false promises, nor does he ever hide his true self from any of them.👏
2. Aahil is not an Asad or Arnav. Both Asad and Arnav were responsible human beings...in spite of the misfortunes of their past, both worked their way up the ladder...an admirable trait in a man. Not so, with Aahil. He was born into a rich family, let someone else carry his cross, and started living life loosely. If not for his faithful assistant who alerts him, he wouldn't attend half the meetings ...Rehan does all the ground work, so he can laze around with video games and women. Of course, all that matters is that he is successful', but he really cannot be called a self made man. 🤔
Continuing the comparison with Gul's other heroes...Arnav ans Asad were fiercely protective of their siblings. Arnav knew Anjali well, and her happiness was of prime importance to him. Asad might have laid down the rules for his sister, but he was wiling to sacrifice his happiness for that of his siblings..(I do hope we will not get into a debate over these two characters...)..Aahil does not get his sister at all...and he has double standards for the women in his family. He expects tehzeeb and tameez from them, while setting such a bad example before them. He does not even hesitate to bring women to his room...as he had clearly expected Sanam to have been one amoing them.😲
So, on the whole...Aahil is not a great example for a hero to begin with...😳
So then, what are the traits that make us love him? A sympathy for having fallen into Billi's trap?- does not make much of a differene to me. In fact, that makes him less of a hero.🥱
What I like about the guy is that he is human👏...he is not larger than life.👏 He makes mistakes- huge ones at that- but he swears by his beliefs. They may be right or wrong, could ruin somebody's life...but he does not apologise for what he believes is right👍🏼...the only glimpses we get into some relatable beliefs is when he stands up for the poor and down trodden👏(the peanut seler boy, in case anyone forgot...😆). He is mean to Sanam all the same, because he believes she crossed a limit, which she did. Slapping is not an acceptable answer to a man holding your hand in defiance.😲..you could get the same message across by pushing the guy away...Slapping is equivalent to spitting on a person, and Aahil did not deserve it at that point in time...🤔(my POV.)
Now, coming to the point of the post..(yep, you can heave a sigh of relief...done with beating around the bush!😆) ..THE DORI SCENE.
I loved everything about it.👏👏👏
It was a pleasure to watch Aahil's expressions change as he felt a connection...an attraction that had never occurred before...that made him want to see the person who made him feel something for the first time...and therefore, junoon' was very apt in that scene...it is the beginning of a connect from Aahil's side- something that was more than a meaningless pleasure trip... The boy who lamented that even death wouldn't want to befriend him, felt the soft awakening of an affection deep within him, that aroused his curiosity..👏
It was painful to watch from Sanam's side- and very rightly, as women...most of us get Sanam better in this scene...her expressions changed from surprise to fear to horror...looked like she even mouthed a no'😭 (why not nahi'?😕- I expected nahi' and not no'!)
The very next morning, when Aahil is in his full senses, he realises that it had been the wrong woman in his room👏...and he borrows a little bit of that horrified look from Sanam...it had not been intended to be.👏
However, that changes soon, as he catches the Cook snooping around in his room...a very suspicious act...followed by an even more dubious revelation of her identity... even if he believed she was there to steal his business secrets, or take revenge... no one could blame him.
The Face off (beautifully penned and done...really an epic scene👏...even with the lighter, he was eager to study her face, having felt that same connect again...until her identity expelled any budding felings he may not have even realised he had... )showed us the Aahil that makes Sanam judge him...his actions and words did make it look like he believed he was the center of everyone's world- the guy does not disprove it outside of his family either! He believes he is God's gift to women...and is arrogant to the core...what made him look like a little boy was the way he reacted when Sanam came back for the piece of paper🤗... The disbelief on his face😆- the same confusion he has when Shazia goes berserk😆...the discomfiture that he is not in charge...all these make me look past the weak hero, to see a boy waiting to be befriended and embraced to be given the confidence to emerge out of a shell, he himself knows he has created as a defence mechanism...That is what makes him different from Gul's other heroes... Aahil is not sure...of himself..at all... and he actually knows it at some level...👏
Precap: Aahil finds a quick way out of an embarrassing situation😡...unmindful of what calamities it would bring to Sanam...did she instigate him further? Weak or not, a very interesting hero indeed...👍🏼😆

Battery low. 😆Laters baby! 😆UnresAn excellent post there! You have captured the essence of his role so perfectly. Beautifully described the reasons in such-and-such subtle way. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I read it 4 times before replying.😆You said it girl! This interesting hero is so much different from other protagonists portrayed before in previous Gul's shows. There is something about this guy which intrigues you to know more about him. To be curious about how he became such a unruly, money headed, or money driven guy.On the contrast, it still intrigues to know about his vulnerability, his anger, his frustration, his calling himself as a kameena, a jerk. This tells us how royally his upbringing has been destroyed. His double standards gives the insight that he is insecure, which he doesn't want to show. He wants to remain in a shell, a wall which he has made around him - which he doesn't want to break and even doesn't want someone else to break. (dude you're in for a big surprise with an S😆)I absolutely feel he is the weaker part in this love hate story. People say the female is portrayed weaker, however it's so untrue. The male lead is the weakling here.Strong and weak are two very subjective terms. Strong doesn't mean being financially sound or having high headed ego, being dominant et al.Instead it means how you are emotionally and mentally strong from within - which is always shown by the female lead.Fiction shows doesn't have a logic. No. Here they have this big logic - Because women are always more strong mentally and emotionally than men. They have the power to bring down the ego of men to their feet. It's so very unfair to say female us portrayed weak here. It's the hero who is weak. And it justifies in.the end too when the hero falls head over heels for that girl.😆Women are portrayed strong so that they can teach their jerks a lesson😆

Hey lovely post. 🤗 Couldn't agree more. Aahil Raza Ibrahim is the most vulnerable of all the Gul's previous male protagonists. He is portrayed as a charming, snarky person who takes pleasure in sleeping around...who knows money is the only solution to every problem. When he's had it, he has had it. His mother has been the object of his devotion since childhood. But then he has a self-made wall around him. And deep inside you can see the little boy struggling with his emotions. And I agree with Annie. 😊 You can connect with him so easily, more than any other male leads. More realistic and more human. And if you turn this complicated person inside out you'll find a gentle boy who longs for the true love and support. Who's a tough guy with a gentle heart. 😊 😊

Well, my dearest QH soul sister, as usual a very well written post.
I agree with some points and disagree with some.Aahil is not a weak hero per say, He is like all other heroes a flawed hero. His flaws are more visible at this point in time but his circumstances were entirely different than others. His Ammi is his weakness, the other's had positive weaknesses his Ammi is evil personified. And yes no doubt He is an interesting HERO. I made a separate post on his circumstances and how they molded him.And 🤗🤗

I am reading and haven't finished but I would like to disagree somewhat here.
I agree that he has double standards as his sister pointed out. But, it's not to the extent that he doesn't allow his sister to do anything. He commented on the top, but then said he will buy her the same top. He got the hint of a certain guy, asked who and didn't question further when she didn't answer.Yes, he does have the double standards, but it's not in such a way that he restricts his sister's activities and preaches about tehzeeb and tameez to her.And if they show him to be a complete chauvanist, double-standard a-hole, I don't know if I would be able to enjoy the show. In short, without going into detail, one of the things that grab me about QH 2 is how the overall setting and characters are etched. Surprisingly enough, there's a pleasant lack of moralizing and bhashans here. Even by Sanam, the way she reacts to Aahil's playboy nature (I don't mean his behavior with her, but rather with other women) is a pleasant surprise and refreshing.Shazia is now the "mean" sister towards Sanam, and that's okay. But I hope she doesn't become a vamp or negative--confirming a stereotype. Same goes for Aahil's attitude and behavior towards Shazia's lifestyle. Yeah a brotherly comment (which yes is a double standard) on a top and wanting to know about a boyfriend is fine. But i hope he is not shown going bonkers and having outrageous reactions and attitude when it comes to her.
