or is that supposed to be something else?
can someone please explain it to me...

They cant face each other, they have to face the kaabah or qiblah. If they showed that in the show, its wrong

Plus the four marriage thing, you can not marry again without the consent of your first wife.

actually u need the consent of each wife every time you get married.

all wives are equal; thats why don't complicate it and stick to one! lol

thats what i thought because once i accidently faced the wrong way during prayers and everybody freaked out! (it was a new place and it was due to a miscommunication) so when i saw that i was like what!!! unless it was another misunderstanding while watching qubool hai...

yup Muslim men can have four wives but with the consent of all the previous wives and secondly Allah Almighty gave this permission but with a rule that one has to treat them equally Financially and Emotionally and Allah Almighty himself satated that One can never keep the same equilibrium so better to have a single one ...but no particular restriction to stick to one or have 4...

They can live together in the same house but if any of them wants to live seperately the husband has to provide her with a seperate place...even if Wife doesnt want to live with the parents of her husband then also she can live seperately according to Islamic laws

yeah but Facing Qiblah that is Baitullah is a strict restriction particularly for the SALLAT that is Namaz ...other wise for dua its better to face qiblah but not a strict restriction to face Qiblah ...as Allah Almighty says ""RABUL MASHRIQAYNI WAL MAGHRIBAINE""
that means HE IS THE LORD OF EAST AND WEST another place it is said all sides are his ...He is everywhere...so For Namaz its a strict restriction but if you just have to lift ur hands for dua then its not neccessary to do it...

yeah Dilshaad was praying infront of a Mazaar/Shrine ...she was sitting beside the Grave...for that you have to say FATIHA that is for the departed soul and then u can pray to Allah Almighty in such way as u r not saying SALAH /Namaz so no need to face Qiblah in particular

i hope i am able to answer ur query

Yeah thats what I meant... that if you get a 2nd wife, you need permission from the first and so on.

I know what you mean. I got confused about it too. But it goes with the Islamiic belief that one day, there will be alot of women in this world who would not be able to support themselves and there will be too few men. So, this is to give support to those lonely women. Plus, you can not marry again unless your previous wife(s) allow you too. If she has any problem, she can tell him no.

Just as an example, if my husband ever decides to marry a second wife, I will break his head open, figuratively speaking. :) and he wont be allowed to do it

on the matter of more then one wife, this was important in history especially because men were the main providers and in times of battles, women would be left without a 'sahara' as such. women who were divorced, widowed, alone for whatever... could have been left 'on the shelf' and struggling. hence with permission and in exceptional circumstances it was permitted to marry a second wife. Today, men struggle to meet all the needs of one woman let alone a second. it is hard to justify this kind of situation. take for example the drama, rashid married a second woman, but has never mett the needs of his first wife and children. its actually apretty disgusting situation.
n.b. i am not against marrying more then once because there will always be a situation where someone is left vulnerable, is physically incpacitated, or/and isalone. she may need a companion and a support system in the form of a husband. islam does not like to leave people helpless.
