No apologies needed. In fact I think it's a good point. Mr Darcy was the arrogant hero who fell for Elizabeth. But he didn't cross certain limits even verbally.

I agree! The women of this world have enough problems without propagating the attitude that it is OK to force oneself on a women. Also, in what book is it OK to come back and set fire to someone's business coz you felt insulted by them? That is called arson and it is a CRIME! But what Sanam did to his car? THAT was pay back and I loved it!! :)

Gul needs to be more responsible, especially in a country like India, where sexual violence, and even violence in general against females by overbearing men has become a major issue! Men seem to think they can act any way they wish and get away with it! Popular media should NOT propagate the impression that this behaviour is in any way acceptable! That is why Sanam setting fire to his car, and answering him back with his OWN language was good!

If you want to do these type of scenes Gul go ahead..(coz I know you are addicted to them)!!. But THIS time, you better make sure the GIRL is the one who wins every time, and the guy is the one left on his knees!! If not, I would brand you a traitor to your own sex!!

Yeah, thank you for bringing up the arson. I didn't even touch on it because it's just tiring to try to point everything out.

Let's go to the arson. This guy states that he will force a kiss on her in retaliation. He is hit by a man and he is forced out to leave. So what does he do, he comes back later at night and sets the dhabba on fire. (He then sexually intimidates the girl again.)

Basically he is a rich boy criminal who gets away with everything because he has money. India is plauged with these types. All the issues mentioned are huge problems. Not just the sexual harassment, rape, assault etc. But also people feeling the need to destroy other people's houses and business, etc. And that Forum 32 article says he is some man of principle or something.🥱Just because he threw money at her to compensate for the loss doesn't mean that it was okay or legal to burn down the dhabba.

But even more than that, his reason for burning down the dhabba is because he was embarrassed and made to leave the dhabba after he sexually harassed the girl. So his way of retaliating to a woman is to do it sexually, and when he is stopped from doing that he comes back to retaliate against not being able to retaliate.🥱🥱

Don't even know why I'm bothering.

If you are a fan of ole Harlequin novels by Charlotte Lamb, you will see what is sexual domination by this author's heroes are all about😆😉, and there are million number of fans of this author..I have always believed that Gul inspires her male lead heroes from earlier Harlequin novels..
To the TM, if one is an avid reader and a fan of alpha, arrogant, OTT possessive/jealous, selfish heroes in Young Adult/Mature, Historical Romance, Urban Fantasy, and Romantic Suspense genre..that is the trend that is going on these days..I have read countless books where I have gone crazy and fallen in love w/ these heroes as they redeem themselves after meeting the heroine, but still remain insanely possessive about their other half..I freaking LOVE it!!

Yes, if it is real life any girl would run in opposite direction if they encounter a man like that..But, it is all fiction babe, and in my secret fantasies when I read books like these and watch heroes like Gul's I am in! When one is watching Indian TV especially, we don't need to dissect everything as what, why, who , how..and what not, otherwise one would go crazy and lose sleep over something that is insignificant and not even real!

We all are mature enough to know that if something like this happens in real life, our actions have to be tougher and we need to fight it! I can deal w/ a little possessiveness in real life w/ my partner as hey any girl would love that, if your respective partner doesn't want any guy to touch you other than himself..that to me is a sign of protectiveness and how much he loves me..I am okay w/ that..

We all have grown up in different circumstances, maybe some have even faced sexual harassment and their opinions stem from all the incidents that may have taken place w/ the opposite sex..It depends from person to person about what their respective boundaries are and how much they can handle from their respective partners. No one should tolerate any kind of abusive behavior be it emotional or physical...

At the end of the day this is pure entertainment, otherwise I can tell you this I would be objecting to every B'wood movie that is made for the last 5 years or so, and trust me that is much more brain damaging and instigating of such kind of behaviors..b/c atleast in TV they show these male lead heroes redemption track, and how to a certain extent they change themselves..But, not so much in B'wood..😕😊

I just pointed it out because I felt like it needed to be pointed out. I don't have any intention of continue picking on things since it's set such a high bar in yesterday's episode. Nothing more or less to expect after that.
My contention is not possessiveness or even the arson. My point of contention is how he was shown retaliating sexually. And my bigger issue with the arson is that it's in retaliation to his not being able to retaliate previously--which was of course a threat of sexual retaliation.
