SILENT READERS! SPEAK UP!!!!
BITTER TRUTH IS BETTER UNSAID..PART 2 The lady stood stunned. Her heart screamed to hold her son and never leave him but the hatred his eyes reflected made her body paralyzed. Her mind failed to frame words and the eyes finally gave up, making way for the long held tears. Asad however didn't move an inch. But the rage that was building inside, made him curl up his fist with all his might, causing the wound to let the blood flow all over again.
The lady closed her eyes as the scene in front was too torturous to take in. The blood drops fell on the floor and the mother stood all helpless, cursing her fate. May be it was too late to heal the wound. As the wound was not just physical and too deep to be cured. And, who, other than her, would understand his pain. There was a moment of absolute silence. A silence, that was the most powerful scream.
After a long stillness, asad decided to bring an end to this torment and so, he spoke.
" I m sorry mrs. Dilshad khan, but Khan enterprise will not work with your company. Is there anything else that I can assist you with?"
He asked. In a manner of a very professional businessan.
Dilshaad looked into his eyes, hoping to see some sort of affection, or least, any emotion but failed miserably. His eyes held no sentiments, no feelings. They just imitated loathness, that he was once shown. Long back.
"Yes. I would like to talk to my son for once. Would you help me in that. Please."
She said. Her voice Quivered. Getting softer with each word and the last came as a whisper.
"Please leave."
"Asad"
"Before your son and husband comes, please leave. I do not want to create any drama at my home with my Business associate."
Asad said and rubbed his fore head to sooth the throbbing pain.
"My son needs me mr. khan, and I m not leaving until we talk. Make it very clear."
"Leave before I do something which I shouldn't."
Asad finally gave a final verdict and glared at the lady , who was supposedly his mother.
" Patthar ho tum asad. Mujhe afsos hai, tum kya se kya ban gaye ho "
And once again the silence invaded the room.
All our arguments have ended
All we hear is painful silence
No more sounds of breaking hearts
All that's left is painful silence"Aapki duao ka asar hai mrs. Khan, maut se battar zindagi jee raha hu."
"asad.."
"LEAVE I SAID."
Asad screamed with all his strength. The voice had so much potency that dilshaad was taken aback.
...Hearing all the clamor, zoya and rest of the staff came running to the room. And seeing asad, all red with blood, zoya screamed.
"Mr. KHAN..!!"
She ran towards him and held his hand that was now bleeding profoundly.
"LEAVE THIS SECOND! OR ELSE I'LL ASK MY MEN TO THROW YOU OUT"
He screamed again. His damn of patience was broken now.
"Mr. khan please relax. Aunty, please leave for now. Please." She begged.
Zoya was terrified . She had never seen asad this enraged. Not even when he had hit her. Asad was furious. He was fuming with rage and his bleeding cuts were not helping either. Dilshaad last time saw the man who hated her from his deepest core .and with a heart full of grief and guilt, she left.
"Mr. khan please calm down, your cuts are bleeding again. I need to bandage them again."
"leave me alone everybody. I don't want a single sole in my house for next 24 hours. And miss farooqui, go to your room."
... The sun had completed its tour for the day, and had now been replaced by myriad stars, which dotted the inky canopy. A low, waning gibbous moon hovered tenuously in the twilight firmament, bestowing a very dim light upon the land. It was a cool, windy night; the swaying of trees and rustling of leaves could be heard but not seen, as the encompassing darkness had blotted out all but the faintest light. Briefly, a dark, wispy cloud eclipsed the crescent moon. For a few shadowy moments, it looked like there was a halo around the cloud, a dull aura of lunar luminescence.
Orion's Belt could be seen to the north. It had taken its place for the night amongst a thousand other celestial constellations known and unknown, real and imagined. It, too, succumbed to the veil of cloud cover. Patiently, it waited for the nebulous cirrus clouds to pass, waited for the moment it would shine bright once more. Amidst them, stood a man at his window staring at nothingness.
"PATHAR HO TUM ASAD" the voice echoed. But his heart remained as numb as ever. His soul felt dead. Not one tear had slipped down his eyes. Because he was the man broken to an extent where his values, ideals, motivation, feelings, hurt, had simply stopped mattering to him.
ANKHE BHI
AB TO GUM SUM HUI..
KHAMOSH HO GAYI HAI YE ZUBAAN.
DARD BHI..
AB TO HOTA NAHI..
EHSAAS KUCH BHI BAAKI HAI KAHA...
TUJHE SAB HAI PATA HAI NA MAA.. Only if Dilshaad knew, It is easier to build strong kids than to repair a broken man.
