Nashibvan: Star Pravaah new show
Tuesday morning met them with a bright and promising sunny day. Zoya had tried to do everything she could to discourage Akdu from going on the trip but all her plans were futile. It seemed that Asad Ahmed Khan was set on putting a damper on their fun. Due to a late night and the last minute packing everyone had done the night before, they failed to hear their respective alarms, resulting in the ensuing mayhem. Dilshad seemed to be the only calm one in the house. She stood by the kitchen calmly setting out the plates for breakfast. Zoya paced up and down, her focus solely on the small exam pad in her hand when she bumped into Asad who had walked out of his room trying to untie the thread from his shirt that was currently stuck to his watch. Lucky for Zoya, Asad managed to steady her before she fell. Huffing she put her hands at her hips and raised her eyebrows at him. He rolled his eyes and indicated to his watch before shrugging. Shaking her head at him she quickly untangled the offending piece of cotton from his watch before her focus went back to her work at hand. Asad smiled slightly and just walked back into his room to fetch his bag, at that moment Najma rushed in, desperately picking up the couch pillows in an effort to find her earphones. Dilshad, getting tired with all the rushing about that her children were doing suddenly whistled loudly. Everyone stopped on their tracks and just looked at her.
"Breakfast...Now", she said sternly.
Breakfast was the usual affair; noisy and clattered as Zoya and Najma discussed their plans for the trip. Asad tried in vain to calm them down, his own excitement slightly growing as well. Finally gathering up their bags and all the other things they would need everyone headed for the door when Asad remembered that he had left his car keys and wallet in his room. Quickly going back to his room, he gathered up the things on his bedside table and stuffed them into his jacket pocket before doing a last minute check and closing the door. Before her could join the girls by the car Dilshad stopped him.
"Asad, take care of my girls for me", she murmured as she placed a quick peck on his forehead, "and stay safe, don't trouble my bechaari Zoya."
Asad refrained from his trademark reply to that and gave his mom a quick hug before walking to the car. He went around to the driver's side when Zoya walked up towards the backseat and opened the door, "Actually, Zoe why don't you sit in the front with bhaijaan," said Najma as she gently placed her hand on the door Zoya had opened, "I fall asleep quickly on long trips and the front seat is quite uncomfortable to sleep on".
"Okay, as it is I don't really sleep on long trips and Mr. Khan might need someone to keep him company", Zoya laughed as she opened the passenger door and got in.
Asad just rolled his eyes and a slight smile tugged at the corner of his mouth before he too opened his door. There was plenty of time to bicker with her sitting next to him, and knowing Ms. Farooqi, he doubted they would even be half an hour into the drive when she would get bored and do something that would result in their bickering. Not that he would actually mind, their small arguments were something he had grown to look forward to. "Mr. Khan! Don't you have any nice CD's? All I see here are songs from the 1990's," called out Zoya as she rummaged through the cubby, upsetting everything. Asad rolled his eyes and rubbed his forehead, scratch that, not even 30 seconds!
